Wonderful waitress who was handling the whole eating area by herself!
With panoramic views of the Chugach Range, the golf course and downtown Anchorage, they offer a limited lunch menu of sandwiches and salads. The food is tasty and the serving sizes are big. The server was friendly and attentive.
Good food and great music. My server was very pleasant and responsive!
The music was a bit loud but very good! The food was excellent and service terrific!
Nice dinner. Decent service. Steaks were overcooked.
We were simply amazed how relaxing our dinner was on Valentines Day. It was extremely pleasant to sit and talk in a quiet setting and not feel rushed. The food was excellent. Live music started at 7:00 and they were very entertaining.
The Band and ambiance was perfect. Service was great too. The food was good, but they need to change or offer more different items on the menu
Awesome evening with the best band and dancing! I love the food and we’re lucky to have this beautiful venue. It can’t be beat.
Having jazz on Friday nights was great. The noise level was a little to loud. Was tougher to carry on a conversation.
Really enjoyed Mark Zelinsky and band members playing great tunes.
Ambiance was perfect!
Late lunch, so we had the place to ourselves. 😊
Totally awesome. The Golf Course and City Views are outstanding. The service and food presentation and preparation were beyond expectations as 8 dinners, all different menu items arrived as though the were right out of the oven, all hot!
Live music is loud in a small place like O’Malley’s restaurant but some bands are worse than others. It eliminates the ability to converse and we left early because of it. I don’t even attend when the specific bands are playing because it’s ear splitting. Too bad.
Very nice staff. I'm surprised this was on Open Table. It's a golf club restaurant. Wasn't really what we expected and a long drive from downtown Anchorage.
Food was excellent
Price was well worth it
It was empty and it took us forever to get a waitress but once we got one it was a very good time
Noise level was elevated due to music which was great
Perfect premium margarita, food was amazing and the service was fabulous!
My friends and I love to get together for dinner to catch up and share stories. At most restaurants, however, we either can’t hear each other over the din of the restaurant or we are seated in such a way that we can’t see each other. Then came O’Malley’s! Here we get to sit at a large round table where we can both see and hear each other, while we enjoy one of the best burgers in town. Thank you , O’Malley’s , for saving our get-togethers!
We definitely enjoyed the food and friendly service! Restaurant was closed for a private affair, but the alternative dining are was nice.
Excellent food and great service!
We waited for over 1/2 hour, with a reservation and then we were being seated in front of the band with extremely loud trumpet player. We did request a table in the back so we could talk (4 people). We decided to leave the establishment without spending the evening with our guests from Germany and opted for another, better organized restaurant in town.
On this night people had came in and sat without being properly seated. They allowed them to stay there?! Also the band marked a whole table reserved themselves without checking with the front...all created chaos as they attempted to put out more seating. It was like our waitress was trying her best to be the floor manager and wait on tables. It sadly did not work. I had to ask for my first glass of wine four times. My husband asked for his soda twice. Another glass of wine sat up at the bar for 15 minutes till my husband went up and got it from the bar for me himself. Then after a long wait we were asked what food we had ordered. I asked has our order been put in and was told yes. However like 10 minutes later she came up and told me she had finally found her pad that had our order on it. So I do not know what to think is true, but I know if she would of said no I would of shored up my bill and left then since by then I was tired of trying to get service. The food we had was great...we had the Panni with sidewinder fries and wings for dinner. They also have have good entertainment, which is why we go... but it seems as if there is not enough control, or direction lately on the floor. Maybe they just need more well trained waitstaff on fridays since it is way busier than normal between the burger, balls and brew and live entertainment too. I am giving it a three star for this night and saying I would recommend it to a friend... only because I have had this waitress before and got good service the last time I was waited on by her. This night however was terrible...and I sure hope it is not the trend going forward.
Only for drinks and apps. Ordered halibut and was frozen even though this was prime time for halibut fishing in the state and everybody is catching them. The chicken fingers were tough and tasted empty. Service was nice and helpful though. Food could have been better especially with all the local seafood being caught in the summer here.
Hidden Jewel. Deck is amazing! We will definitely go back.
Great for groups! Quiet enough for conversations with excellent views.
The food was worth the wait, but if you were pressed for time, this is not the place to dine
Food was very good for buffet style for Mother’s Day.
I was there for Mother’s Day brunch. Moms got a free mimosa, their kids did not. It said mimosas were included. The warm food was salty and dry. The beef was way over cooked. The salmon was dry. The salad and fruit spread was nice. The service was okay. Watching golfers and seeing Anchorage out the windows was pleasant. But for $50 bucks a person, plus $7 bucks each additional mimosa, nah I’ll take my mommy elsewhere next year. And it wasn’t like $50 bucks is expensive these days. It was what you got for $50 bucks. If the food was great I wouldn’t paid more. But it wasn’t, just really lackluster.
Great server, awesome food, amazing view!
Even though I had a confirmation number for last night the restaurant doesn’t open until tonight!!!
We went to O'Malley's On The Green for their music night. The service was ok. I think they could use another waitress, or 2 to help avoid some of the delays we experienced. The staff was very busy and the room was packed, so I understand the delay, but that tells me they need more wait staff. We ordered the macadamia nut crusted halibut. The meal cam out nice and hot and the salsa and veggies they had were good. The halibut was extremely old which is why they get one star for food. I never would have prepared halibut that smelled like that. We didn't get sick from it, but i do not think it should have been served.
I attended last Friday night music night with a group of friends. We were there 30 minutes and no one came to our table to take our drink or food orders. I had to get up twice to ask the hostess standing at the door if someone could come wait on our table. The menu wasn't a full menu so the food and drinks available were limited. We ordered and it still took another 15 minutes just to get our drinks which was 3 teas and 1 glass of wine. The food took another 30 minutes after ordering. So we were there an hour before getting our food. The music was excellent. It was jazz night and one of the ASD teachers came with her band. The guitar player/singer was exceptional!
We showed up for our 6:15pm reservation on a Friday. We were seated five minutes early. The restaurant was less than half full and the band was setting up. The host took us to our table and gave us menus and glasses of water. There appeared to be at least three servers on duty in addition to the bar staff.
At 6:45pm we left without ever having been waited on for drink or food. We saw several tables that were seated after us served drinks and food.
The band was very good but slightly loud for the small venue.
We were very disappointed after reading several Open Table reviews that gave high marks for the service.
Cute quaint restaurant -- enjoyable, relaxing. Service was on time and very friendly! Know some sign language which that is BONUS! A+
O’Malley’s On The Green was officially closed on Valentine’s Day, but due to some mix-up, Open Table took reservations for about 30 people! Luckily, the management noticed the reservations in time to resolve the issue. They called each person who had a reservation, told them of the problem and invited them to come to a free buffet dinner on that night. The dinner was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive and they certainly improved their image. It was the perfect solution to what could have been a disaster. Thank you, O’Malley’s! We’ll be back.
Excellent service, friendly staff and one of the best views in Anchorage!
I took my good friend there for a Sunday birthday lunch! The view was spectacular, the service was super and the food was amazing!! Don't hesitate to try this place!!
great no frills with a fantastic view. service was wonderful.
These are the strangest options for why I’d recommend it. We appreciated the live music but it would be so much more enjoyof the music was 25 -50% quieter. It is not a concert. It is dinner music.
Great views over the golf course of the Alaska range including Denali.
