   Best Omakase experience ever! Food was unique and delicious. So fresh! Works of art! The plates and cups were also pieces of art. A special place for a special dinner. Knowledgeable, gracious and professional staff.

   Absolutely incredible experience! From the food (I opted for the Omakase), to the amazing service, to the chic environment, this spot gets a 10/10 for me in all areas — every expectation I had was exceeded! It was my birthday and they went out of their way to make this an extra special evening! I can’t wait to go back and try their hand rolls and other menu items.

   While the food was good, it didn't knock my socks off like other omakase places have, and for the price tag of $160 per person, I definitely do expect to have my socks knocked off for the majority of the meal. The highlight of the meal was the kinmedai, so I requested more of it. Honestly, I would have been fine with the kinmedai and one or two other selections, but I'd rather go to another restaurant for omakase. I will say that the staff members went out of their way to make us feel special during our dining experience. I am stating that I would recommend this place to a friend, but I still would opt for another restaurant, such as Sasabune.

   Toro was excellent, the rest of the fish was good but I’ve had better and at much lower prices. Seafood salad was tiny for the price with very little sauce and not very tasty. Albacore hand roll was pretty bland.

   One of the best Omakase's between Little Tokyo and Sawtelle. A fine balance of creativity and traditional. I've never had a bad experience here and I will look forward to my next meal.

   Awesome food and service. We ordered Omakase with Sake pairing. Everything served to us tasted great. The Sake pairing was really good since we got to taste different flavors and came out the restaurant buzzed. Definitely worth coming back.

    Food was excellent as was the service. Very crowded and noisy. Not much ambiance. Don’t go if you want a sit-at-the-bar experience. A bit expensive. Parking in this part of town is miserable. No valet here.

    The food wasn’t bad but it didn’t wow me. Servers were great but the food came out extremely slowly. We had to pack our dessert because it was getting too late. The meal lasted about 2.5hrs without the desserts. Definitely something I was not expecting to experience.

    This was supposed to be a Los Angeles Restaurant week dinner. Omakase by Osen is an expensive place, dinner for two tops $400 with Sake tax and tip. Thinking I was going to get a deal like every other restaurant offers during this week I was a little taken aback to find out that they were just running the regular $130 menu with special additions and NO discount of any kind. This seems, if not illegal, certainly immoral. The tables near to my own were all discussing it but everyone was too polite to get up and leave or even inquire. It was a phenomenal meal, make no mistake, but it was a meal I could have had at 7:30 any night of the week there instead of what was available [5:30 on a Sunday].

    Had the 2023 April Dine LA $130 course. Food: very experimental compared to traditional sushi bar omakase I've had in orange county but everything was good and the fish was very fresh. both dessert options were great Service: very professional and attentive. Each dish is served one by one and empty plates are taken away right after eaten. Interior ambiance: was seated in the secluded private room which was blocked off from the main bar by a covered window - wish it was left open Noise: being seated in a private room with a large group will always be loud so it took away from our date experience. Not the restaurants fault.

    Chef Takagi was very funny and interactive with us the entire night. The food was delicious, fresh and it was excellent service from the wait staff the entire night. The seasonal drink selection was very good and complemented the Omakase menu brilliantly. Would go again and recommend to friends. Thank you to Chef Takagi for an excellent meal and night!

    Great omakase experience. I was so full at the end of almost 20 course. There was more food than I expected and our waitress Gloria was very attentive. Bill came out to almost 500 including drinks and tips, pricy but I went in fully aware of the price point. That being said, I wish the sushi chef would interact with us more throughout the entire experience or I don’t know, maybe we should’ve asked more questions. The most interaction we got was when we were served nigiri which was about 10 pieces I think. There was very minimal conversation during appetizers and sashimi, which was about 4-5 dishes. Our waitress did most of the explaining and serving us. 4/5 would recommend for a special occasion.

    Service was great. We ordered a la carte for a party of four. Ordered a bunch of sashimi and didn’t disappoint. Great presentation, friendly and attentive service. My favorites were amberjack, salmon, red snapper, and yellowtail belly. My spicy scallop hand roll could have been spicier. I spent more doing a la carte than doing an Omakase for four. So we’ll try that option next time.

    We had the best time celebrating a friend’s birthday at Omakase by Osen! The staff were amazing (especially John and Suzy)! Highly recommend doing the sake pairing with the Omakase. Ask the waitress to fill you in on sake pacing as we started off sipping a little too fast. Only captured one photo of the king crab miso soup. Delicious!

    Loved the food and our chef Chris. It's hard to remember everything that was served but I especially liked the sushi with the perch. It was only our first time back since we wanted to try the counter as opposed to the table. I'm sure we'll be coming back regularly!

    Osen features some dishes not found anywhere else some of which I keep returning for. Quality of Sashimi is amazing. Many are there for Jidori and hotpots but its all about the great fish and fresh ideas for me.

    Outstanding food. Premium prices. No parking. It’s a wonderful addition to the Osen family of sushi restaurants. The hand rolls are the best I’ve had ever. Skip the omakase. Too expensive imho. But overall quite good and will be back (when I can afford to).

    This is my favorite restaurant! We were in LA for a week and went twice. Incredible detail to everything and a passion for fresh perfect fish every time. You simply will not do better in LA.
