   Great place for pre- theatre dining. Like that they don't have background music so that people can talk without irritating distraction/ inability to hear properly. Nice social buzz and pleasant waiting staff who are attentive without being intrusive. Good options on fixed price menu which is extremely good value but would like to see this changed more frequently since it was same as on last visit. Dishes are very well executed and tasty. Not the same formulaic recipes normally dished up by Italian chain restaurants.

   I came in for a meal with my god-daughter who has just moved to Guildford. Olivo is a good restaurant and I have eaten here before so I felt it was a good choice for her first dining experience in Guildford. I was pleased that we had a nice evening. We shared a starter and then both had mains and coffee. The food was excellent as ever. Very nice service as ever from very professional cheerful and attentive staff. Very reasonable too. It was a good sign that the restaurant was busy on a cold dark Thursday in early January. I definitely recommend Olivo and will come again.

   Friendly and authentic with great food. Have been here twice for dinner in last few weeks. I find it very odd that they don't take the trouble to remove the lunch special menu cards when they give you the evening menu. This is the 1st and prominent menu you see and feels like they don't care I am here for dinner.

    First visit and thought the food was excellent, good variety and everyone enjoyed their choices. I had the fish stew which was delicious. Didn't choose a particularly good wine but probably my fault as I am not very up on Italian whites! Will definitely be visiting again.
