Had an amazing experience!! We went here for my birthday dinner and it was just a dream. The food is incredible, the ambience is so warm and cozy, yet elegant, and the service is outstanding. Favorite restaurant in stl!!!
Fantastic experience. Great food, great service and beautiful new roomy venue. Love the tall ceilings and huge windows.
Olive + Oak is our favorite restaurant. On this visit, we took our kids, ages 6 and 11, for the first time. The service was prompt without being overbearing. My son enjoyed his pasta with red sauce from the kids menu. My daughter enjoyed the flank steak. My wife and I split the swordfish and the pork loin and both were amazing. The cheese curd appetizer and crab gratin appetizer were also delicious. The back room we were in was a little louder than our past experiences, but still a very great experience and recommend to everyone looking for a great date night or if you love great food.
We had great service and great food. Would recommend.
This was our first time at Olive and Oak and it definitely won’t be our last time. Our server was spot on with suggestions and perfectly attentive the entire evening. The food was wonderful and the drinks were spectacular! Can’t say enough good things!
Great food. Great service. Would pay twice as much in Chicago and four times as much in NYC for a rough equivalent that wouldn’t be as good
I recently moved to St. Louis from Chicago and this restaurant is the first we’ve encountered to match the energy and ambience of Chicago. We’ve had plenty of great food here in St. Louis but what O + O does is combine great food and service with a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend for a date or night out with friends.
Molly and Johnathan were outstanding! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, as was the food. We love to eat here when we are visiting STL.
the food was absolutely outstanding! Great spot in Webster. Only small hiccup with the service as our waiter was a bit aloof, but we think it was because he was so busy.
When the waiter starts off by telling you they make a new menu every day then it's going to be good. The starter blue crab dip was excellent, especially with the celery which tempers the salt flavor and creamy texture perfectly. The pumpernickel and sourdough breads were slightly crusty with a chewy inside.
The curry goat entree was good with a complementary pineapple-flavored slaw, but honestly we were impressed with what is usually an afterthought, the sides. We had a delicious spaghetti squash "pancake" with Japanese bbq sauce that was so flavorful and unusual in a good way. The shaved brussel sprouts with hazelnut and cranberry was yummy. The lamb entree was tender perfectly medium rare with no gaminess at all in a fig/ balsamic reduction, but once again the sides were the highlight - fontina mashed potatoes and an arugula salad. The triad of balsamic, potato and arugula was a beautiful chord.
Even full, we couldn't resist the butterscotch pot de creme. It came with a thin layer of salted caramel, a dense whipped cream dollop and oat crunchies. Tasty finish to the meal.
The service was attentive and knowledgeable about each menu item. The ambiance was lovely, not too noisy and tables were disinfected between diners. All the staff wore their masks properly. Attention to detail is definitely the theme here.
Absolutely delicious dinner! Great options for a more casual dinner or more sophisticated. Wait staff was amazing, too!
We were sitting for 15 minutes before I asked a bus girl if we had a server. She immediately got us waters and was surprised the server still hadn’t been by. He showed up shortly after that. He was attentive from that point on. It was just frustrating seeing people say after us get acknowledged and we weren’t until I spoke up.
Alexis our server was amazing, attentive without being overbearing, great to talk to. The food was delicious. Subtle flavors and the portion size was great
Olive + Oak seems to be declining a bit when it comes to their food. The Brussel sprouts we ordered were over-cooked and mushy and the cocktails were very average. They used to be a great spot, I hope it turns around and gets back to what they used to be.
Great food and ambiance, but often went 20 minutes without seeing server so it felt like an unintentional 5 course meal.
Great food and ambiance!
This place never disappoints. You feel like family from the moment you walk in, especially if the most hospitable Molly is near the front of the house (if she’s not, she’s probably delivering drink orders or walking around to different tables checking on guests to make sure everything is to their liking).
The menu changes frequently but there’s always something fresh and innovative to try.
Service is generally top notch but on our most recent visit it was truly outstanding- Allie (sp?) took great care of us on one of the busiest nights of the year and she did it all with a smile while making it seem effortless.
Some will grumble a bit about the prices but it’s an outstanding value when you put it all together- food, drinks, atmosphere and hospitality in an unfussy but very attentive way…it’s unmatched by anything else in STL. Just go. Enjoy the experience from start to finish and get ready to plan your next visit before you even make it home.
As always the Food was amazing and the Service was impeccable. The drinks this time were a bit skimpy, which was a bit disappointing.
Great food, incredibly friendly staff and a beautiful space. We had a 4:00 dinner reservation and it wasn’t crowded yet. It was perfect…and all staff wore masks.
One of my favorite places to celebrate. Love the ever changing menu and drink selections.
So amazing! Good energy but cozy at the same time. Our waitress gave us great recommendations since it was our first time. Started with oysters (for me) and chicken meatballs (for the kids). The Ceasar salad was delicious. Ordered the clam dish based on our waitress recommendation and it was so fresh, a yummy take on linguini and clams. And highly recommend the vegan chickpea stew!
We didn’t realize the restaurant had moved, and the new location is far less cozy and louder than the previous one. But the food is still delicious and the staff is wonderful! My daughter is 21 now, so she enjoyed choosing craft cocktails, which are still a highlight of the experience. We will definitely be back, but will park closer next time.
Loved the hamburger! Been here many times and this was the first time I tried it. Highly recommend!
We had a great experience at Olive & Oak! The new location was spacious and comfy! We tried the grilled octopus which was our waitress’s recommendation and it was great!!
3 out of the 4 people in our party did not enjoy the food. The pretzel bread that came with dip was burnt. The tenderloin was outstanding. The cowboy was under cooked and it was poor quality cut. The flank steak was horrible. Dessert was yummy. Service (Frankie) was outstanding.
We live in the area and this place is always busy, so we figured it was time to try it for ourselves. The food was amazing. We had the hummus (incredible), flank steak, tenderloin, and the gumbo and honestly couldn't decide which dish was the best. The cloud cake was also delicious if you're a fan of coconut cake. The service was great, and you can't beat the ambiance. What I appreciated most was the fact that we never felt rushed... this is a great place to eat if you want to catch up with friends/loved ones. I recommend a reservation, but it seems they can accommodate you if you stop by early. Now I see why there's rarely an empty seat at this restaurant/event space!
Amazing experience. It would be helpful if opentable had the correct address for the restaurant when they drop the event into your calendar.
The octopus appetizer and house salad are not to miss! Lovely time, as always ❤️
We had not been for about 5 years and were surprised how much it has grown. Food was excellent but it is also very upbeat. A fun night with very good food and wine. Waiter made several excellent recommendations. Looking forward to going back sooner!
I ordered the Southwest Salad. It was suppose to have black beans, pickled jalapeños, smoked cheddar cheese , tortilla strips, and avocado all on a bed of greens….I had a big bowl of nothing but cabbage, saw maybe 12 black beans, NO avocados, a few tortilla strips, maybe 5 slices of pickled jalapeños and could not taste any cheese. A complete letdown. Our waiter kindly took it off the bill and offered me another choice . He was the best thing about my very disappointing dinner. Nothing it more disappointing than a highly touted restaurant. A big bowl of cabbage…really👎
Wonderful atmosphere. The burger and wings were amazing. My protein was fantastic but my wife's ono was super dry. Other than the the deserts were wonderful as well as the cocktails.
I had probably the best meal of my life at O + O last night! The food just has tremendous flavor. Our server went above and beyond. Full house yet easy to have a conversation without yelling. Just a superior overall experience!
I was there for my Birthday celebration. The staff was welcoming. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. The manager stopped by our table. We were asked several times if things were to our liking. The ambiance was low light, clean, socially distanced and staff wore masks. The staff boxed our leftovers and sealed it with their emblem on the label. They placed the boxes in a brown handled recyclable bag. The waitress helped take our pictures to commemorate my 60th birthday. Everyone wished us well when we exited. The only thing that was slightly concerning was the parking. Otherwise it was all lovely.
42nd Wedding Anniversary dinner. Fabulous, but noisy.
Tremendous meal. Excellent service. Perfect ambiance. Love this place and relish every opportunity to fully experience.
We happened to be seated in a relatively quiet area but it can be very noisy
Dinner date with my boyfriend
My friend treated me for my 40th birthday. My food was beyond delish! The presentation was phenomenal + the food was superb. The service, however, was slightly lackluster and brought the experience down as a whole. This was not my first time dining here + my previous experiences with the service have been A1 so I will not hold this particular experience with the service against the establishment. I’ll definitely be dining here again in the near future!
They could benefit from some additional entre choices such as poultry. 2 guests got the burger because they couldn't find any dishes that appealed to them. That being said one of them said it's the best burger they ever had.
