We were a party of six and had a perfect table for easy conversation. Our server, Steve, was friendly and efficient The bartender, Jessica, made perfect cocktails for us. We always enjoy ourselves at Olesia's.
Pros: The food was excellent - the filet was probably the best I've had in a long while. The portions were sufficient and the ambiance was nice Our waitperson was charming and attentive.
Cons: We went there for our 40th anniversary dinner thinking it would be a quite, upscale place. To our disappointment, it was rather loud compounded by the two couples at the next table laughing, yelling and shrieking. We couldn't wait to leave.
Olesia’s is a must stop if you live in the Cleveland area. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful. You feel like you are in a southern restaurant. The food is amazing. Olesia’s has something for everyone. I got the Olesia’s Platter which was a stuffed cabbage, kielbasa with sauerkraut, and a pierogi. I felt like my grandma made this, that’s how good it was. Make sure to save some room for dessert. I got the Elvis cheesecake which had peanut butter and a banana. It was so good that I asked the waiter if I could bring home the rest of the cheesecake.
Food was mediocre. I do not recommend the “crab” and lobster chowder. There was no crab in it. It was made with imitation crab (pink dyed fish sticks) and I didn’t taste any lobster. The risotto wasn’t creamy. It had been made earlier and was clearly in the pot but was dry. Also tried The pierogi entree and that was good. I don’t think the value was in the pricing. Not likely I will be back.
Great tasting food, amazing cocktails. The service was also fabulous.
The food was fabulous, but my feet were extremely cold because the parking lot was unplowed. And there was no path to the door.
Excellent - food is fantastic, service is great. Restaurant is beautiful and the menu is unique. New local favorite
The food is always delicious at Olesia‘s Tavern. The portions are large. I am a big eater and I still took half of my beef stroganoff home. The setting is very eloquent. Our waitress was attentive but not bothersome at all. I believe Alessia‘s is fairly priced for the quality and quantity of food that they offer.
My niece enjoyed the beet salad. She had the delicious lobster bisque, then stuffed cabbages. I enjoyed my scallops! Food was plentiful, tasty and we’ll both enjoy the next day our take home. Can’t wait for the next time.
The staff was very attentive also.
All around just a wonderful night out! Food, and entertainment was great. Olesia & Joe came around and made sure all was just right. Made sure they introduced themselves to the table. Not to many owners do that on such a busy night. The lobster bisque is to die for. Highly recommend a visit!
Definitely worth checking out
As always, the food was delicious. The Olesia’s platter is a plate full of comfort! The service was wonderful. I’ve always had good experiences here and will definitely be back.
Good food. Excellent service. A favorite.
this was a superb dining experience. good food, a perfect ambiance and excellent service. will return soon.
Lunch with colleagues. Not busy which was nice. Hostess took us to last booth by kitchen where two of us would be facing the back wall. Was taken to different table when asked.
We went to celebrate a birthday and all four of us loved our food selections! We will definitely return.
Great food and service. Would have preferred sitting upstairs
Great and loved it
We enjoyed our visit and are planning on going back for other special occasions
Great experience and ambiance
Famiy dinner . It was wonderful. All 5 of us had different meals. All were great, however, after tasting a bite of each, this was our ratings: #1 sea bass, #2 short ribs, #3 salmon , #4 pork Schnitzel, #5 Beef Stroganoff. We also had for appetizers, beef tips, poblano peppers, smoked salmon all enjoyed. Tried several drinks, surprisingly the beet martini was very much enjoyed. Our server was awesome. A delightful evening enjoyed by all!
Seven diners and seven satisfied customers. The only negative was the garlic butter which was too garlicky.
Would definitely return
This was a 25th wedding anniversary dinner and they did not even acknowledge our celebration. Glass of champaign would have been nice.
Steve was our waiter (and it seemed like he was everyone's waiter too). He did a marvelous job attending to everyone's needs in spite of having so many tables to wait on. The food was great. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. And we had a nice evening visiting without feeling like we had to rush out to turn over the table. It was great! Thanks!
Took the family for an awesome meal. We had awesome food from appetizers to main course to desert. The Who family talked about how good it was…..
Lovely spot for a holiday visit with excellent food, attentive service, and overall wonderful experience.
Great Service, the wait was minimal with reservation. Friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing!!
The bar had a great selection of bourbons and ryes and the bartender was excellent. The service at the table was B plus but the food was not quite as good as I have had there on several occasions before; but I will definitely go back again.
Food is excellent. Priced high for lunch.
Service was excellent. One frustration, is the Sandwiches came with salad or fries. It also said add a soup for $3. My sandwich was $17. I decided to add the soup. When I got the bill the soup was charged at the full $8. The waitress said the intent was to substitute or upgrade to soup. That was clearly not what the menu said. I suggested they reword the menu.
Delicious food, excellent service!
Food was excellent! The seat of the booth that we sat in was worn out and lumpy. We sunk way down. It was uncomfortable and hard to sit up straight. The bartender was our server and was very busy behind the bar which is understandable however, she did not make it back to our table after giving us our check so we had to flag someone down after a long time to pay.
Great atmosphere and great service. Always enjoy Olesia’s. Will go back again.
The noise was level was pretty extreme but I will take into account the restaurant was very busy. Everything else was excellent.
Food and service were good but it was a bit pricey.
Everyone was pleased with their lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere!
It was an overall great experience
Great food and atmosphere! Our server "Marcus" was spot on, he knew what we needed before we could ask. The food was so delicious and they really delivered on our birthday celebration. Please visit this gem.
Beautiful place, unique food. We ordered 3 appetizers: Deviled eggs - they were creamy with a touch of horseradish which was a nice touch. Hungarian Peppers had way too much red pepper flakes - they were very spicy. The spiciness should be disclosed on the menu. Meat pies were also good with a flaky crust. Two of us ordered soup. Chicken Paprikash was good but very thick; it could have been hotter in temperature. Borst soup was very good. Our entrees were crab stuffed salmon - very good; breaded pork chop - huge portion and good, and cabbage rolls with tomato sauce, also good. They added a 20% gratuity, which was kind of a surprise for 4 people. That should be disclosed. Also, this place is a little overpriced, but worth going to for something unique with a unique menu.
Huge drink menu, fantastic food, great setting!
This was a pleasant surprise as we didn't know what to expect. Everything was fabulous and we're already planning a return visit!
