Nice atmosphere and service. Food was so good and huge portions!
The gray colored dining room area has terrible ambience - dark gray walls and light fixtures that are cute in style but provide a "cold" atmosphere. Food: Good sized portions. The beef stroganoff has potential, good tasting but was kinda dry and needed way more sauce. The brussel sprouts have potential too, good tasting but they were old maybe - were more yellow than green. The Expresso Martini was delicious !!!!!! Bartender did good !!!! Service was very good.
Great service! Great food! Great drinks! And a great bday celebration for my mom.
Good food and service. Will be coming back in the near future.
Great atmosphere, awesome food and abundant drink options. Will definitely be going back.
Great service. Great food. Great ambiance. Get the house red.
Great bisque soup, chops and scallops. Perfect service too!
Had reservations, got seated right away, food was awesome and service was decent.
Love the atmosphere. Food is always wonderful. Staff is very friendly
Seevice was super slow and we were sat directly next to where a live band came in later without being asked if we were ok with that
Our server, Alana, was a bartender, trying to act as a server. We had to ask for everything, even a desert menu. Salmon was overcooked and cool. Potatoes were like paste. Not worth $112.00. Dinner this summer on the patio was great. Maybe it's the virus.
Food was outstanding!! Very enjoyable!! Very friendly!! Great menu!! Definitely recommend going!!
Beautiful, charming atmosphere! Excellent food! Warm, efficient service. We had a wonderful evening at Olesia's. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful, restored historic building. The servers were friendly. The food was great. The lobster/crab bisque was just wonderful. We also enjoyed dining on the lovely patio in the summer and will come back to try one of the igloos in the winter. So glad that this iconic, historic building has a new life with this wonderful establishment. LOVE THIS PLACE!
This was out first time eating there and I would definitely go back! The food was excellent. We had the Short Rib Crepes and homemade Pierogies. The martini list was extensive and unique and we loved the two we tried. I highly recommend this place.
On a whim driving by we decided to give Olesia's a try. We had not been there since the change in ownership. The menu was a nice blend of ethnic and traditional dishes. My husband ordered the Pork Tenderloin Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce - it was tasty but nothing extraordinary. I had the beef short ribs and they were very tender, smothered in a mushroom cream sauce on top of mashed potatoes - which for me was a bit too much and masked the taste of the braised ribs. I would order it again, but ask for the mushroom sauce on the side to really get the flavor of the braised ribs.
We both had the crab and lobster bisque and it was very good. COVID safety protocols appeared to be followed for our indoor dining experience - I would return.
The interior is open, well appointed and the table glassware was substantial, which is a rarity these days. Our server was pleasant. It appeared he was the only wait person working on this weeknight and thus was order centric and did little to engage us.
Great food and service
Great food, unique cocktails, and a fun atmosphere!
My wife and I decided to go out for dinner on our anniversary. We have been to Olesia's at their North Royalton location before, but not here at the new and much larger location in Richfield. Beautiful and historic location made the dining and ambiance great. It could have been a little quieter but all in all we got through it. The menu selection looked to be larger than I remember and the house specialties were carried on as well - great. There are some favorites we remember and they were there once again. We filled up on appetizers; we shared the chicken spanakopita, and we each had a cup of chicken paprikash. For dinner she had the beef stroganoff, I had the 20oz ribeye. Both cooked as ordered and quite good on both accounts. If I were to make a complaint it seemed the server help was short as our server seemed overwhelmed covering many tables and not checking on us. I had to flag down the bussers a few times for water, bread, butter, coffee refills, etc...etc...He did the best he could but still seemingly too busy as the restaurant was filled, and all servers seemed to be running as if putting out fires. They really could have used more server help - my opinion.
Maybe it's me, but many patrons came in dressed too casual, (we wore "business casual") but I guess that is the way of the world these days?
Overall, I would rate 3.8 out of 5 stars, good experience, not spectacular, or greatly memorable but we will return.
There seemed to be a lot of people there but I was happy to be out.
Our first visit was a great one. Server was excellent as was the food, and she made us aware of the speakeasy downstairs, so we went there after dinner and heard a great music act. All staff was excellent in every contact point.
Best Stroganoff I've ever had. The Chicken Kopitas were to die for. Olesia's never disappoints. Super friendly staff.
It was a great experience. The facility is beautiful and so immaculately clean. Great service and our food was great!!!
The restaurant was very busy. Our server was super busy and bustling she and forgot to bring our drink order. Someone else made sure to keep our water glasses full and brought us bread and oil and later our drink order when we asked. So it was totally ok! The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was delicious, the hummus appetizer was a little bland. Loved the blackened scallops entree and the pork schnitzel entree .The creme brulee was great too. We went downstairs after dinner into the bar and had a drink and listened to live music. Social distancing was in place in both the dining room and bar and we felt very comfortable. Our reservation was for 7 and we did not feel rushed and enjoyed having a nice dinner. The restaurant interior is really pretty
The food at Olesia’s is unique, comforting, and delicious! We have eaten here twice and will be back!
We always enjoy the food, service and ambiance.
We never got a seat & had to eat at the bar, apparently the 2nd bartender called off. Needless to say the service was god awful as the restaurant was sold out w/a wedding going on upstairs. The Lobster Risotto was awful, way undercooked and no flavor whatsoever. This is my 3rd time to the Tavern, I want to like it as I loved it when they were in North Royalton, growing pains I guess!
We made a reservation for 7:00. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told it wouldn’t be too long before we were seated. Well, we waited an hour to be seated. There is no point in making reservations if you’re going to make people wait for a table. The point of a reservation is to be seated upon arrival. We should have trusted our gut and left after waiting 20 minutes because the rest of our experience was subpar. After finally being seated around 8:00, it seemed clear that the waitress was overwhelmed. She came to our table only about 3 times, did not check up to see if we needed anything and had to wait a long time for drinks. At this point, there were only about 3 other tables seated in the restaurant besides ours. The food was fine, but definitely not worth the price that you pay for it. On top of that, tables were not socially distanced. Had it been a full dining area at the time we were seated, it would not have been a Covid friendly place. I understand that eating at a restaurant during a pandemic is a completely personal choice, however I expect a business to take the precautions necessary to make customers feel safe. This was not the case at Olesia’s. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody, we had an extremely poor experience and will not be returning.
When I made the reservation I was asked if it was a special occasion. It was and I replied that it was our wedding anniversary. After our meal it was not even mentioned by the waitress. I did not expect a free dessert, jus an acknowledgement of our anniversary.
New Years Eve family dinner.
Had a fun time on New Year's Eve 2020! The sea bass was delicious!
Great food, huge portions, great value. I would recommend splitting appetizers and entrees due to their size. Nice ambiance, a bit on the loud side however they do several areas that are quieter. We will definitely be going back.
I read other reviews saying the service wasn't that good, I liked our waiter, but he was waiting on the whole restaurant, so the service was slow. Restaurant was stunningly beautiful!! The food was moderate, I had schnitzel and they did not pan fry it, it was put in a deep fryer, pork, it really lacked flavor and then they drowned it with mushroom soup?? If you ever had real schnitzel, that wasn't it! Will I go back, you bet, I will stick to the ethnic part of the foods they offer, they looked great!
Service could use a little work. Nice people, just need to get the routine down. Missed our appetizer. Apologized, boxed it, no charge. Place really is nicotine inside.
It's an extremely charming place and we had a very good service experience. We wish the taste matched the ambiance and this would definitely be a place worth visiting over and over again. Unfortunately, the value to make the drive and spend the $ here just isn't there for us after tasting something that was pedestrian.
Christmas with family
We love the beet martini! The food and service are always excellent! Looking forward to our next visit.
Exceptional evening! Food was to perfection! Prime rib & sea bass. Huge desert selection.
We had a party of six for a birthday celebration. Everyone’s meal (and dessert)was excellent and the service was very attentive. It was a really wonderful experience and we will definitely return.
Took the family here for Christmas dinner. We were very happy with the renovations, and the food was fantastic.
Overall the experience was not great. This could have been a fluke, however I had hair in two separate dishes. The food itself (aside from the hair) was just average.
