Great experience. Food was great. Highly recommended!
Last night we had a great meal with no masks (Yay!) Blake was our server who was very attentive and informative. We started with the cauliflower soup which was delicious with the focaccia bread. I also had the fruit salad which was very unique. For our meals we had the ribeye and the burger and shared them. The only downside was that the ribeye was a little too fatty/undercooked but overall ok. To end the night we had the delicious icecream cookie sandwich (Yum!)
The food was more farm to table fresh which is nice, but the mustard sauce over the filet was underwhelming. Trying to put a new twist on a classic is the new restaurant challenge it seems, it just left me feeling wanting.
Food, craft cocktails and service was on point for our table of 7. The special of the day- hanger steak was done rare instead of medium rare so it was taken back and redone. They gave my brother a glass of wine while he waited for his dinner to be Re-made. It was a great dining experience! We ate in a tent outside so the ambiance was not special. Blame that on Covid!!
Great food and amaxing service. Staff was super friendly.
Appetizers were great but entrees came out cold.
Manager was great and adjusted bill for us! Thank you!
The duck wings and Brussels sprouts were fantastic
Place was PACKED !!!!
The food is not that great! ALSO! I DO NOT WANT TO PAY THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO E SITTING IN AN UGLY TENT IN A FREAKING PARKING LOT
My favorite neighborhood bar -- and amazing food!
Great food and service. Nice spacing and noise level.
Great bar area, service was impeccable and menu has a little bit of everything.
Came here for my birthday celebration as the reviews looked really good. Ended up being a pretty lousy night. Drinks were terrible... my husband had what looked like a moldy, mushy orange in his old fashion. The food was not good at all! We ordered Mac and cheese, bread, wings, and short rib. The wings and short rib were dry and tough. To keep this positive, the Mac and cheese was the only thing my husband and I enjoyed. We were sitting next to a party of drunken adults that needed a manager to address the situation but continues to serve them more drinks and shots. Due to bad service, lousy food and bad ambiance we will not be coming back here.
Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants in OC. The quality of the food is superb and consistent. The cocktails are fun, innovative and delicious. It is always a bit noisy, but you can still hear each other. Service is wonderful, just make sure you communicate well with your server. I love coming here and recommending this place to all my friends.
Shara, our server, was excellent! She made great recommendations and went out of her way to make my husband’s birthday dinner special. Thank you!
Great food and service!
We have loved Olea in the past, but this time it was very disappointing. The food was sub par. The salad was all lettece with almost none of the feta cheese or other listed items. We were embarassed as we had take a couple for a special birthday treat. We will not return.
This was my first visit and most definitely not my last. ALL of the food was amazing and the staff was so nice and friendly. Even dealt with my pregnancy needs.
We cannot wait to go back and try other items on the menu.
Great dining experience
Tell the chef his crab cold soup was great!
Food was not impressive. 2 of our dishes came out first then the rest of the table 15 min later. Steak was cold
Excellent meal !! They always have some unique options on the menu that are delicious. The owner came by to check on us too which was nice
Delicious food and cocktails. Outstanding service. Cool Vibe!
Service was very friendly with good recommendations. Cocktails were great and food was wonderful!
Fabulous food—large portion size and very good service!
Great food, service, and ambiance!
Awesome dinner w friends. Excellent food and drinks! Service was outstanding. I think our servers name was Crystal or Crista.
Service and ambience in the tent were lacking. Would ask for an inside table.
Our waitress, Shara, was awesome! The food was fabulous and the table was great. Thank you for a great evening and not rushing us! :)
We were nicely greeted upon arrival and given a nice table as we had made a reservation couple of days prior.
My wife had a signature cocktail Hot and Bothered ...they adjusted the Serrano ...over and outstanding cocktail. I had a vodka martini ...they did not serve Stolychnaya so I had Kettle One ...the martini was good ...the olives were mediocre ...small like out of a can and stuffed with blue cheese - more for a dirty martini which I did not order ...they need to use proper martini olives Also this is me ...they use a stemless martini glass ...not my thing as I prefer a stemmed martini glass.
Appetizers ...we had the duck legs ...they were outstanding ...mildly confit with some hot and sweet and were very tasty.
Dinner ...my wife had the pork rib ...not flavorful. I had the bone-in rib eye ...good flavor overall very nice. The seasonal vegetables were carrots and cauliflower ...very chewy and not nice ...I had frites in lieu of mashed ...they were tasty and hot which I enjoyed .
Our server was excellent ...we enjoyed her service.
Next time ...probably have the duck leg appetizer as an entree and have a salad ...
Blake, our waiter, was excellent. Food wonderful!
The food was delicious! But we unfortunately had an extremely rowdy, loud, drunk party next to us that made it difficult to hold a conversation. Hopefully not the norm at this restaurant.
SO EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED FOR FRIDAY NIGHT AT NEW PORT BEACH APPARENTLY WE LOOKED UP DIFF RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA, FOUND THIS ONE,THEY HAD A RESERVATION YEAY! IT WAS MY B DAY SO I WAS EXCITED, WHEN WE GOT THERE HONESTLY THE OUTSIDE DIDNT IMPRESS ME MUCH, BUT ONCE YOU ARE INSIDE, WOW, IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE, THE FOOD AND FRINKS WERE AMAZING, THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING , AND THE PRICES ARE COMPETITIVE , WE GOT MORE FOR OUR BUCK . I REALLY RECOMMEND OLEA.
Every dining occasion at Olea is a special occasion to me! I love these people like my own family I am a regular diner and a Grateful patron. Fabulous food, a staff second to none, clientele that are always a joy to meet and engage with and I always leave feeling so special and full of food and love! Thank you Kevin and staff all of you it was so great to see you and I will be back again very soon! ❤️
Our waiter, Manny, was friendly and checked on us in an unobtrusive manner, which was welcome to us. He took our order and served it and drinks in a professional style. Short ribs a bit tough and burnt carrots ( intended that way by chef apparently) were not the best. Wine list was good. Service for the evening was the wait staff, hands down.
Really enjoyed the food at Olea.... duck wings and oysters are must have..... drinks were spot on ..... only complaint is that the main room felt more like a sports bar than a dining room.... TVs everywhere with baseball game on.... want more ambience when dining on such good food.
Staff was very attentive. Blake served us and there was not a moment where he wasn’t stopping by to ensure everything was good. It was never disruptive but timely. Food was fantastic.
Tried Olea Newport Beach for the first time. I had been eyeing their incredible menu for a while. We sat at the bar and had fantastic friendly service. We ended up ordering several starters to share as our meal. They were all awesome! We had the truffle raviolis, duck wings, green fried tomatoes w/burrata, the mac n cheese, and a salad. Highly recommend this place. Great vibe, service and food. What more could you ask for:)
Everything was great from the service to the food and ambiance
The food took over an hour from the time we ordered. We felt like there was way to long of a wait between the waitress checking in with us.
food was really good and a good value. we ate outside but inside looked cute
Wonderful food, incredible atmosphere & service! I can’t say enough about this experience.
