The Maitre D’ found us a wonderful table outside. Service by Pierre was wonderful. The Tomahawk steak excellent too. Not expensive for London either. Fantastic Friday evening!

A real mixed bag. They accommodated us well when we arrived early however the table we had reserved was terrible, a small one in a dark corner under the stairs. Restaurant speakers must have been very close to us because the music was so loud we honestly couldn’t speak to each other (we are a couple), even the waiting staff had difficulty conversing with us (got 2 drinks orders wrong). Starter was delivered promptly and the scotch egg was sublime, honestly it was just the best. Sea bream main was good, but the potato purée was just mash, and not good so I didn’t eat it. The sea food linguine was terrible, the pasta hugely overcooked and tasteless and the sauce was inedible. My wife gagged on it, I tasted it and honestly it was the worst dish, no way the chef tasted it. Staff were attentive but zero recognition of our left food and the obvious struggles to hear us and each other over the booming music. When we left and walked to the front of the restaurant the music wasn’t anywhere near as offensive. So £131 for a starter, 2 mains, 4 alcoholic drinks plus a coffee was nowhere near value for money. All in all it’s pot luck what food you get and pot luck what table you get. Good luck.

Very nice dinner. Service was very good and waitresses lovely. A like noisy but it was very busy. Will go again.

I keep coming back to OCB this is my 4th time. Such great experience from booking to the staff and obviously the food. The staff is so helpful cheerful and always willing to accommodate. Big thumbs up Will defo go back again

It was so busy and extremely loud with music and people talking. I had to leave early as I wasn't able to have a proper concentration with a friend. Food was good. Service was amazing.

Lovely meal at Old Compton Brasserie. Would definitely recommend it to those looking for a pre theatre dinner. Attentive staff and great food. Very colourful bar inside and out.
