Old Capitol Grill

The ribs were good, but the brisket sandwich was a joke with ONE layer of meat. I have never been a brisket sandwich like this. We thought at tgw befinning they had forgotten to put meat in it, but here it was under the bbq sauce. Service was meh...I asked for lime for my margarita and they answer was 'it is there, in your drink already'....would not recommend :-(

Very disappointed as we drove over from Evergreen and the restaurant was closed. That is unacceptable.

Pickles are a must! Along with the Bison Burger...best one in town!!!

Ordered a bison burger medium WITHOUT cheese. Brought me a bison burger WITH cheese. They took it back and scraped off the cheese and put it back on the grill. Returned it to me. After a couple of bites it was now a well done inedible bison hockey puck. French fries that were returned were cold. Took almost 10 minutes for server Emily to get a side of mayo after it was requested. Inedible food, poor service. July 17, 2020 table 32/1 and bill says 6:42 pm.

They have a limited menu available, which did not contain their excellent "street tacos" which is what i was craving for lunch. The place was clean and well organized and the food was pretty similar to prior visits - i just did not get to satisfy my craving

Our service and the food was excellent. It was quiet because we had an early lunch and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Everyone, including the staff, were wearing masks which we loved. When we visit Golden this is where we always dined and it's never failed us!

Great service and a delicious meal. My kids ate everything on their plates. We ordered a variety of items including chicken fingers, bison burgers, pulled pork, and beef brisket. The sweet potato fries were delicious. We would defiantly return here on another visit to town.

Food was great! Service was a little slow at first, but the servers were great once they got started. I'm assuming the slowness was due to Covid. Great place! I have eaten there many times.

Amazing food, we had the bison burgers & flash fried brussel sprouts. Our waiter was fantastic too - very prompt & kind!

Loved the food and the staff was fun! Everyone was working well together. Fried pickles are a must and the Bison Burger was the best I have ever had!

We booked our anniversary dinner on Open Table and when we arrived, the Old Capitol Grill was completely closed. Very disappointed. Someone dropped the ball in notifying the app that they weren’t open as other restaurants have done. Anniversary Dinner was ruined.

Really lovely character of this old building and its history. Several different rooms you can dine in. The medium rare bison burgers a Winter. As are the brussel sprouts appitizer.
Also the very exclusive Coors Barmen pilser, rare, on tap, never canned. The roots of the old German recipe

Great food, friends, service and time. Close to our venue and in and out timely.

We made a reservation a week in advance and were place in back room near kitchen doors. Our small table had metal chairs. The waiter was attentive and friendly. I ordered 2- meat BBQ dinner. It was honestly the worst meal I have ever been served at a restaurant. The meat (brisket and pulled pork) was 75% fat and inedible. If we were not with friends, I would have sent back immediately. This restaurant should be embarrassed to serve food that is not even fit for a dog.

The salad dressing options were limited, and my daughter didn't like the two she tried, so she after a boring green salad with a few tomatoes on top. Not appealing. However, we both enjoyed the burgers and fries we ordered so I'm giving it four stars.

We have have great service and the food never disappoints!!

Our waiter, Jose, wasn't willing to allow us to move to a quitter area of the restaurant so I had to seek the assistance of the manager, Tiffany, who took immediate action to move us to another, quitter table I've had better; the prices somewhat inflated for what was offered\served. My date thought the French Fries were the best she had ever had. Tiffany told us that they were cut, in-house, from fresh potatoes.

Great smoked meats good whiskey. Reasonable and Good service.

Thought food was a little pricey for lunch, but the taste was good.

The service was excellent!! I ordered the 2 meat combo, brisket and turkey, it was lukewarm and the brisket very fatty. It's not something I would order again. The meals I've had here before were great so maybe it was an off night. Never the less not something I would recommend.

We made reservations to give ourselves a lot of time with 5 children and four adults to eat before going to a show in town. We got our food over an hour after we ordered and had to box it up so we could make our program. To leave that many kids waiting for over an hour for food is insane. We will not be returning, which is too bad bc we live in town. Ugh.
