Tina Takaya, proprietor, welcomes you to our newest two story restaurant on the water. We feel the key to success is our passion for creating the highest quality food and warm friendly service.

Our menu draws from Asian favorites that inspire and excite such as Wagyu Steak, Japanese Sushi, Chinese Dumplings, Garlic Noodles and fresh local seafood.

We are located in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Waterfront and Funk Zone Districts. Come enjoy lunch or dinner, soak in the sun by day at our waterfront rooftop bar while sipping on a refreshing cocktail surrounded by our beautiful ocean vista and by night, enjoy lounging by the fireplace after a delicious meal and a great glass of wine.

Our chef uses the freshest ingredients from central coast farmers and local fisherman to create dishes with the best of what California has to offer.

Staff was wonderful in booking, seating and service. Our server was exceptional in how she was able to deal with so many tables and keep a smile and friendly, personable attitude . We brought our 3 young adults grandchildren to celebrate a birthday and graduations...

This was our second time coming here from out of town and the second time was just as good as the first. Everyone is so sweet and accommodating plus the food/drinks are top notch! We recommend this place often for those visiting Santa Barbara.

The views at OKU were absolutely stunning, and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The menu offered so many tempting options, but we decided to share the shishito peppers, fried rice, ribs, and noodles. The food was enjoyable, and the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. Service was exceptional — attentive without being intrusive — and we never had to wait long for anything we needed. However, given the price point, we were expecting a more elevated dining experience in terms of food quality. While nothing was bad, most of the dishes felt fairly average for the cost. That said, if you're looking for fusion cuisine paired with one of the best views in town, OKU is definitely worth a visit.

Another exceptional experience! Best restaurant in SB County. Didn’t care for wagu potstickers, shrimp and crab potstickers however, incredible! Sushi is always 5 stars.
