    Apr 7, 2025 - Oct 31, 2025
ōkta farm and kitchen immerses diners in a four-course menu that changes with the seasons. The inaugural season will celebrate the bounty of spring produce from ōkta farm, where the team has been hard at work over the past four years creating a regenerative food and farming ecosystem. What began as a half acre project, has expanded to include another full acre of produce-growing, a herd of Dorper sheep, and Bramble Hill Vineyard, adjacent to the farm. The four courses will emphasize the connection between the land, seas and restaurant. Thanks to the abundance of produce during the spring and summer seasons, the menu’s ingredients will be constantly changing. The menu is priced at $100 per guest, with the standard wine pairing priced at $65. Seatings begin at 5pm Fridays through Sundays.

We went to Okta for a 40th bday dinner and were very happy with the delicious, simple yet inventive cuisine, the attentive service, and the stylish yet approachable environment.

My partner and I went here for our anniversary and we both believed that this was the best dining experience that we have ever had. The professionalism of everyone from our host to the sommelier was inspiring and left us talking about every aspect of our time at okta for days after our visit. I highly recommend okta and we are both looking forward to our next visit.

Our dining experience at ōkta farm and kitchen was wonderful. We were seated at a table with the perfect view of the open kitchen, which was beautiful. The service team was efficient, knowledgeable, and timed everything perfectly. The cocktails we ordered were excellent, the amuse-bouche was creative and tasty, and the four courses were delicious as well as beautifully plated. I had the charred escarole, the pacific crab, the pastured lamb, and the rhubarb sorbet. My husband had the field salad, the halibut, the wood-fired chicken, and the chocolate cake. Every course was prepared perfectly and we were surprised that the portion size for each course was substantial. We have experienced tasting menus that were truly ‘tastes’ and were quite small but this was not the case at ōkta farm and kitchen. The chocolate hazelnuts brought to us at the end of the meal were a fun final treat. Details such as the Zalto wine glasses designed to complement the specific wine we ordered and the beautifully simple Kimura water and cocktail glasses did not go unnoticed. We felt the evening was truly wonderful and would love to dine at ōkta farm and kitchen again.

This was a disappointment. The ambiance is great. The service is quite good. The food was not good at all. First of all - not enough food. Don’t get me wrong, not a big eater here, but even for me the portion sizes were too small. The food was bland. There was nothing creative or interesting about it. My lamb was undercooked (not just rare, but cold). People sitting next to us were saying: “don’t order lamb, it’s too rare’, my husband’s halibut was too dry. My pacific crab was a dry, salty mess. The highlight - the wine. They have a very extensive wine list. I am absolutely baffled at what is going on here. It’s a shame. I hope they change things around.

It was overall good but we were surprised by the bill when we were charged certain drinks. The first was a glass of champagne that the server offered in the beginning. He said “would you guys like to start off with a glass of champagne” so we said yes thinking it was complimentary then towards the end another drink was offered the same way. I’ve dined at other places (TFL) where they ask the same way and we weren’t charged. I guess different caliber. Anyways food was good, ambience was great. Definitely go when in Williamette!

Everything was wonderful. My only complaint was that the portions were very small. I am not one of those people who generally complains about small portions. I love a tasting menu! The first and last courses were sized appropriately but the middle two courses were very small. This is also not about the cost of the meal. I would pay more for a bit more food.

This is more than simply food. It is a culinary experience worthy of the most prestigious eateries around. The staff is courteous and well trained. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The open kitchen is very clean and organized. For us, the little things matter. In many establishments, wait staff will reach across you to place or pick up something. We noticed right away that the staff will place or pick up things on one side of the table and then go to the other side to place or pick up something else. The food is wood fired and superbly prepared. Everything was delicious. On multiple occasions the statement “this is the best ‘blank’ I’ve ever had” was made. Menu items are seasonal as everything is locally sourced. If you like Old Fashions, the Hazelnut Old Fashion is a must have. If you like wine, there’s a 2000 bottle selection at the ready. After dinner, we were given a tour of the building with the adjoining hotel. Small boutique hotel with just a few rooms, but very well thought out with all the attention to detail as the restaurant. I haven’t taken time to write many of these in the past, but I felt compelled to share this experience. In my opinion, this is a “must go” if you’re looking for fantastic food and an amazing experience. I’d give it more stars if I could.
