It was perfection
Excellent, as always
Outstanding in every way!
Service was not what we experienced in past
The best sushi and food around! Great atmosphere and great service.
Outstanding. The food was life changing. Everything was so fresh and delicious.
Great experience all around. Tasty food that's not expected!
Really impressive menu. Fantastic place. Great food.
Always a great meal and love the beet and bourbon drink!
Miso soup served only slightly warm, tempura batter very, very salty, sticky ribs very fatty, eel sushi very small….definitely not worth the money.
We've been here many times and food is excellent.
I dine quite often
Fantastic. We love OKO, it’s our favorite place for special occasions.
One of the best restaurants outside of NYC I’ve ever been to. Absolutely outstanding!
Food and atmosphere were fine, but we felt rushed. We were there for an anniversary dinner and we were looking forward to a fun evening, but it just felt we were getting moved along so they could seat the next party. Oko is small and popular, so we understand the urge to move the table, but at the prices we paid we expected more.
had a great time and enjoyed the food. we love sushi and this fish is very fresh and delicious
This once-fabulous Westport restaurant has fallen from greatness in every way. We have been Oko regulars since it’s opening and have watched as the sushi quality and portions have continually diminished, the staff is no longer excellent and the overall experience now feels average (but with pricing that indicates excellence). It’s a shame, Oko used to be the best restaurant in the area but no more. I hope they step up their game to the way it used to be with exceptional food and service.
We were looking forward to trying this restaurant after so many great reviews, but we were disappointed. We shared a steamed pork and crab dumplings which were good. We had one wagzu beef which was cooked perfectly, but completely under seasoned. The most disappointing was the lobster ramen. When it arrived, it was ramen noodles with tiny bits of dry lobster on top with a sprinkle of fresh herbs. I asked if they had forgotten the soup and the server told us it was their version. Literally, the definition of ramen is Japanese noodle soup. Lobster and noodles had zero flavor. Super disappointed- will not be returning.
Had a great first experience at OKO…went on a Wednesday, so we knew it would be quieter than the weekend. We will definitely be back!
For me the best restaurant in Connecticut, each time I go everything is absolutely on point!
Very casual but elegant dining. Staff is attentive and the food is delicious. We will return.
delicious food, small portions but still filling & worth the price, friendly staff, lovely experience!
Just wow. Start to finish this was an outstanding dining experience. The food was so delicious one of our guests actually teared up and cried. Great presentation, lots of options, attentive service. We will be back!
It’s expensive but really good and worth it if you want to splurge a little. We ordered the 10-piece chef’s selection of nigiri sushi which was outstanding. Every piece was a bit elevated beyond what you might expect at a standard sushi place. All we’re delicious but especially liked the smoked black cod with crispy beets and horseradish and the snapper with red jalapeño kosho. Also loved the Jonah crab & pork dumplings. Service was excellent and the vibe was smart casual. We’ll be going back. Forgot to take pics.
One of our favorites. The food is so special. Nothing like it.
We got the chef’s selection of tempura, sticky ribs, edamame, 10 pieces of sashimi and the chocolate cake for dessert. Absolutely wonderful services. The sushi and tempura were beyond my expectations. So fresh and well executed. Probably the best meal I’ve had in a really long time.
had high hopes but everything was too fishy tasting from the coke and hot appetizers, or too salty and spicy.
service was great.
Oko is my favorite restaurant in the area! We celebrated my birthday tonight and it did not disappoint. Food and cocktails are amazing. Service is great too. Highly recommend!
It was my daughters 18th birthday and they made the whole experience very pleasurable. Food was creative and beyond enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Top end sushi experience that is a mistake to miss. Take your time. Slowly go through the menu and let the deliciousness make its way to your pallet. A 10 every time.
Fantastic menu but too much to sample in one visit. Wait staff was helpful in navigating the many small dishes available. The octopus was the star but don’t miss the crab/pork dumplings.
Always AMAZING sushi, service and scene. One of the best spots in town.
This place got amazing reviews so we thought we would try it. For reference we usually go to Nobu-57 in Manhattan and realize a little place in CT isn't going to compare but heard Oko came close. To start off we sat at the bar, the bartender (thick blond with short hair) must have been having a bad day because she was not very nice. If I could use a descriptive word that starts with a B in the review I would but it would probably be taken down so I wont. Ill just say I expect a server or bartender to at least answer questions about the menu and not get an attitude. One such question was if an item was served as nigiri or sashimi and the answer was "its fish from Japan" with an exasperated tone.
The food was really mediocre, we started with a spicy tuna handroll, it was wrapped loosely and falling apart. the flavor was bland and it was anything but a spicy tuna roll. also the rice was hot enough we had to blow on it to cool it off when it should have been cold. next we had Miso soup, this was very good and was as expected at a mid-level sushi restaurant. we then ordered sticky ribs that were ehh, tempura eggplant was alright but something you throw together in the kitchen at home would be better. The tempura scallions were the best thing out of the meal at this point but needed salt or something to accent them. We proceeded with a wagyu beef topped with a quail egg. This actually sucked in comparison to any wagyu I have ever had. We finished with a grilled octopus lettuce wrap. It was fishy tasting and I gagged swallowing it.
While there were a few decent Japanese whiskey and even an 18 year that is particularly good if you want to spend the money at a bar as it retails for about $900/bottle if you can find it, (I have it at home for enjoying) the whiskey selection was lacking. To be told the best part of the meal was the Sapporo Beer I had.
We would recommend you skip this place, if yo like it and have been there disregard but there are better options
The food was simple but delicious. Try the poke, tempura, okonomiyaki, and sushi!
Great Knowledgeable staff
Good food, some was exceptional
Adult Drinks, not too sweet but lots of natural good flavors
Awful dining experience. Restaurant was extremely hot and our table was essentially in the kitchen. Waitstaff and employees yelling and swearing in ours ears the whole time. Extremely Disappointed.
Good was off the charts delicious. Delicate flavors and perfect use of spices. Brian Lewis is the most talented Chef and has earned the praise of his peers .
Lovely birthday dinner! Everything was amazing!
Sat at the chefs table. Great service, high quality. Would def recommend.
