I have never left a review but I have been compelled to. This was the worst dining experience of my life. Having worked in hospitality myself, it was honestly more confusing than anything else. We went for an anniversary seeing as the reviews online seem positive and it looked nice! It was totally empty at 8:30pm on a Saturday. We ordered the 4 small plates for £25. Fair value but they were honestly just alright - not great. The service however was absolutely baffling. We ordered the burrata which came with focaccia (or so we thought). None came with it so I asked if it should have and was gaslit by the wait staff who was adamant it instead accompanied the salad (which we didn’t order). I was confused but we ate the food. Only once we had already finished it, did they come back over to say that it was supposed to come with it - without apology or similar. We instead got some sourdough buttered with pesto - fine but not ideal really. Once our plates had been cleared (whilst I was in the loo), we were not offered anything else, no menu. And left to our own devices. We attempted to signal to this chap numerous times but were met with him looking back to his phone and going outside to sit on his phone some more. In the end, I had to walk outside to ask to pay so that we could leave - despite actually wanting a dessert on our anniversary. The 4 small plates we were recommended was also not nearly enough food so we ended up hungry, waiting around, and being very unhappy with the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I know it’s a college and these people are likely in training. My issue wasn’t with the quality so much as with the effort and manners. If they wanted to go home, I understand that. Let us at least pay and leave - why do I have to leave my partner at the table to track you down on your phone outside?!?? It was completely nonsensical and a horrible experience - particularly on a special occasion. Do not be fooled!!!

The food was absolutely amazing — delicious and refined, truly a culinary delight. However, the service left much to be desired. It took an hour before anyone came to take our order, followed by a 30-minute wait for starters. The main course arrived 40 minutes later, and dessert took another 25 minutes after that. While the food was exceptional, the overall experience felt far too long — nearly three hours for a single meal. A smoother, more attentive service would have made this an outstanding dining experience.

The food was absolutely outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and truly refined. Every dish was a delight and showcased real culinary expertise. The meal stretched over three hours — far longer than expected. While we truly appreciated the exceptional cuisine, a more efficient and attentive service would have made the experience truly perfect.

A meal first my wife and mother in law. They said the food was fantastic and loved all the courses. The staff were exceptional and the cleanliness was so good. They also commented about the beautiful garden where you eat or have a drink. Overall, fantastic Thank you to all the staff for making mothers day special

Always a pleasure visiting.The food is good restaurant quality.Its always exceptional the taste. It's an affordable treat and can't recommend highly enough. Every visit the food has been outstanding. The salmon was melt in the mouth the best I think I ve ever had.The pork I believe was wonderful and not something that would have been chosen.How they make a vegan cake taste so good is beyond me.Even the coffee was great and good value.

Little gem in Shoreditch. Food is delicious and service is very friendly and warm. The value is excellent for this level of quality. Keep in mind that this is run by hospitality student so expect small mistakes from time to time. We had the Christmas menu and overall had a lovely experience!
