   Nice meal. Excellent service. Only annoyance is that the tables are a little too small for a party of 4 eating a 3 course meal.

   The restaurant has a nice ambiance but the service was rushed and confused. The food was disappointing when it came, except for the burger and chips which were great.

   The food…the wine as good as it can possibly be…what makes the difference is the relaxed natural approach the staff deal with your requests… they are able to talk to you not At you.

   We arrived at the restaurant for our 3pm reservation and the first two people that attended us told us they were not taking any reservations, which had us very confused. The incredible manager Sylvia then came to greet us and properly explained what had happened with the booking. She sincerely apologized and even asked the chef if they could prepare our meal so we were delighted that she was able to take care of everything for us. She took such good care of us that we will remember it! Our sincere appreciation goes to Sylvia who went above and beyond with her impeccable level of service, attitude and professionalism-she is amazing! Brava!!!

   They said they can’t find our reservation. Even if we booked through open table. Though I showed the confirmation to a staff…

    To be honest, I booked Ochre out of convenience, since we would be at the National Gallery for the (excellent) exhibit of Van Gogh: Poets & Lovers. But we're happy we did it: it turned out to be an excellent dinner, in all aspects! The ambience was carefully customized to the exhibit, with sunflowers everywhere, including a drinks' menu inspired by Van Gogh's work - we had the "Red Vineyards" and the "White Field with Cypresses", both excellent, see the pics. But besides that, the service was excellent and really attentive (our waiter, for instance, rushed to execute our drinks order 3 minutes before the end of the happy hour, giving us an instant 50% discount). And the food was *really* great! We had white beans & sausage dish (me) and a ravioli (my wife) that were just great. Amazing night, we didn't expect to be so happily satisfied with the meal! Recommended on its own, with or without the museum visit!
