My Salmon dish was perfect. Tower of shell fish could have been a little fresher. Wonderful wine list. You can always go with a DuMol, in our case did the Pinot Noir.
The food was wonderful. The lobster bisque was amazing- sweet and creamy. But it is very pricey.
Seated immediately even though we were late ( not very crowded for a Saturday night). We had great a martini and a wonderful Oceanaire cocktail ( great bartender). The Apps were marvelous, grilled and raw oysters. That’s when dinner went downhill. The crab caked dinner was burnt on bottom (both) and the au gratin potatoes were unevenly cooked. While the maître d′ did the correct thing by taking the crab cakes off the bill, the second order came out salty, also we neglected to complain about the side dish ( the old taboo about sending food back). The wine and drink were great but I come to Oceanaire for great food and was disappointed.
Everything was excellent except the lighting. Way too dark to read anything.
White glove service as expected, over priced for the meal.
The room was far too dark. It was like eating in a cave. It was astonishing that virtually every table was using the flashlight from their phone or to see the menu. For service was spotty and not as responsive as we need it. The food was good but not spectacular certainly not up to the price it was charged for the entrées.The very best part of the meal was the lump crabmeat cocktail that I had. A mediocre meal that was far too expensive. I will not go back. Certainly not with the Marriott choices available near the convention center
Look forward to returning
Hope baked Alaska is back to a citrus ice cream soon
I had been to this restaurant several years back. At that time food was excellent. I found the fish selection this time to be a poor offering. I had a 1/2 pound appetizer of the king crab. It was very good but did not look like a 1/2 lb for $33.00!! Mahi Mahi that I had was small but was OK. Alaskan cod on the menu in Florida?? No grouper except fried grouper cheeks, again you are in Florida! And one more time NO Stone crab and in Florida in season?? Two there nice seafood restaurants had plenty of stone crab. I guess my fav thing was the root beer float for desert. IBC & vanilla iced cream, $8.00, oh my! And yes it is an expensive place to dine.
I will be back on I-drive next year but will not go here. Too many other good seafood places.
Loved this restaurant...the service the ambiance and the wonderful food. A bit pricey but top notch!
Great food and atmosphere!
The food was great and the waiter was very helpful and attentive
First time dining at this restaurant. We wanted an upscale dining experience for out 2nd wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed.
We visit this restaurant every time we are in the Orlando area. Excellent seafood and wonderful menu. The service is outstanding. Highly recommend
Superb food. Keith, our waiter, was outstanding. We will be back.
Great meal, incredibly fresh seafood, delightful presentation and friendly staff. Mallory at the bar was such a treat that we ended up having dinner at the bar. Also a decent wine and bourbon list to boot!
Had New Years’s Eve dinner here. Although I had made a reservation in advance, our table was not ready when we arrived. Beyond that, the food quality was great.
Great way o spend New Years
Oceanaire is a superb restaurant with a top-notch menu. Note: Their side dishes are huge, easily big enough for two people.
Food was poor and service was bad. My sole sat on a tray next to our table for 10 minutes while we waited for the sever to filet it.
Would not recommend.
Fantastic ambience and food for New Year’s Eve dinner. If you’re on a budget, not a place to dine. But it’s par for the course as it’s comparable to the other steak houses in the area (i.e. Capital Grille, Del Frisco’s, etc). All around great experience and we will be back for special occasions!
Veal Osso Bucca ravioli was spectacular. My wife’s paste had no favor. Nice service. I think they are still working out the kinks. We’ll give it another try.
New Year’s Eve
Super New Year's Eve dining! Our server, Jose was the best.
We really enjoyed our experience. The food and service was great. We shared app and salad, escargots and a caesar. Excellent. Our entrees, artic char and grouper also were excellent. Our server was helpful with our selections, excellent service and friendly. Highly recommend.
I have dined at the Oceanaire in Boston dozens of times and found it to be excellent in all ways. The Orlando location however was disappointing. It looks “tired” especially when you walk up to the building and see half the sign not lighted as well as a section of the logo to the left also not lighted - not a good first impression. Service was just okay but we did have to ask for setups (napkin and utensils) after we had been served water and bread. Our server wasn’t very helpful with the menu. All that would have been more acceptable had the food been good but it was mediocre at best. Not worth explaining. Will not return to this location.
Food was good, service was fine, skip the desserts.
Very good food and exceptional service. I definitely recommend this restaurant for fine dining. We will absolutely return.
This was one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. We went on Christmas Day and were delighted to have the amazing level of service, mouthwatering a la carte menu (not a prix fixe menu), and all around attentiveness to our needs. The General Manager went to every single table at least twice to check on the experience. Would absolutely, unreservedly recommend to anyone.
The food was okay. I got the calamari and the chicken fried lobster. It was meh... Probably won't eat here again, but others might like it. It has a nice ambiance.
We went for our Christmas dinner and everything was fabulous! We’ve been here multiple times and they never disappoint!
Delicious food and great service!
Christmas Eve dinner with family was a wonderful experience!
Perfect for an evening with a spouse. Made it before the reservation time and was seated immediately. Waiter was fabulous until the restaurant started getting busy. After he took our order he barely checked on us at the table. I had to result to flagging him down to get a check and for him to get the check. Food and alcohol was great. Just don’t go during peak hours!
Food was mediocre. Took a very long time to get our food and menu was overpriced.
The food is excellent and although it is a premium price, it is worth the service and quality. Excellent for special occasions. Portions are large so order accordingly.
Food is always excellent, service is polite and wonderful.
Christmas Season Dinner with my husband!
Always want to dine at Oceanaire when I am in Orlando.
First time there. Wonderful evening to celebrate a my bday. Food and service was fantastic.
Service started out slow but Michael stepped in and saved the night. Apologies from staff and management made it clear that they were very serious about top service. Food was great. This has become our favorite place to dine when in town.
The food was excellent! We were a large party of 14 particular people and everyone was satisfied. The wait staff was efficient but not particularly warm or engaging... and they were not great at clearing dishes and unused wine glasses. They did provide a baked Alaska for one of us celebrating a birthday. Nice touch but it took a long time and we were not sure what was happening. All in all, I would definitely go back!
