We went here for a friend’s birthday. Overall, the experience was great with a few exceptions. At first, they tried to sit us in the private dining room behind the host stand. We did not come here to sit in a small room, looking out into an empty office building atrium. Luckily, they moved us to the beautiful main dining room at our request. Our server was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We learned really interesting facts about the difference between east and west coast oysters. The food was also very good. Loved the bread and relish tray at the beginning. Oysters, shrimp cocktail, and ahi tuna to start were wonderful. Maine lobster, halibut, and sea bass mains were delicious as well. However, my sea bass had two sizable bones in it and the crab topping had a large piece of cartilage. Sloppy. In addition, I had ordered a glass of wine with dinner that never came. The server ended up being busy taking the order of a very large table. The carafe sat at the bar for at least 20 minutes. What kind of bartender or fellow server lets it sit that long without asking who it is for? They should have backed their colleague up. We appreciated the baked Alaska provided for the birthday girl. I would give them another chance, but if we experienced similar issues I would go somewhere else in the future. For the price, we paid these issues should not be a regular occurrence.

Beautiful , delicious meal. As a Baltimore girl I’m very wary of crab anything in the Midwest but they have blue crab and their crab cakes taste like home and everything else was perfectly seasoned with delicious little finishing touches like a bit of mushroom on the masked potatoes and some grated cheese on the asparagus. Staff was wonderful and kind and this is my new special occasion place.

We showed up a little early and the host was quick to help us, as though they anticipated our early arrival. We may have also gotten lucky since it was not nearly as busy as it should be. We got an awesome booth which made it possible to feel isolated from the hustle and bustle, while also never struggling for service. Once at our table, our server, Farrah, was a complete professional. Attentive, but not intrusive, offered to take our picture for our rare away together, and provided excellent recommendations every step of the way. She even knew which things were the freshest, and which drinks would suit the needs of my partner. Spot on every time. After a fabulous dinner, full of picture worthy presentations, she was even engaged with us as we walked out the door. We look forward to going back to experience the rest of the menu.

Went to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. Service was top notch, with Tiffany being extremely attentive, personable and fun. Food was excellent as usual, and the personalized menus for the occasion are always a nice touch!

Oceanaire consistently delivers fresh seafood in a beautiful setting. We were a party of six and all us were very pleased with our meals. Our waiter, Doug was wonderful and made sure we received our meals in a timely manner as we were going to a concert.

Our server Aiden was amazing. The food was delicious but I think it is overpriced compared to other comparable restaurants. The restaurant is lovely and everyone from the host to the server were excellent. It was pretty noisy due to some large parties. We always enjoy OceanAire and will definitely return.

High prices for average food and the service was incredibly slow - we were there for over 3 hours. Our server was lovely but clearly had way too many tables and was rushed. If you are looking for an upscale experience, I would look elsewhere.

We sat at the bar for a bit more casual dining experience after work. Appetizers were yummy. Happy hour/Admiral Hour options were nice. Cocktails were good. Service was great and main courses were delicious! I love dining at the Oceaniare. I've never had anything that was just "okay". Everything tastes great, every time! And they are always willing to accommodate my food allergies and intolerances. - For that, I am so thankful!! My first experience dining causally at the bar was great and I would do it again.

Top notch service, lovely menu. Prices are very high but comparable to any other higher end restaurant in the downtown Minneapolis area. Food was good but not to the level where you comment on it when you take your first bite. Like, conversation didn't shift from the show we had seen to "wow this is delicious"... just thank you, taste, move on. Very nice dining room, good wine list, fun cocktails, knowledgeable staff, overall, worth checking out.

WOW! We've been to Oceanaire on holidays/special occasions before, but Easter 2023 was amazing! The Easter menu food was fantastic and far and above any restaurant's "brunch selections" we have ever experienced! The service was excellent and friendly (with bunny ears and orange nail polish).
