The service here cannot be beat. The food is delicious. The crab and lobster mac and cheese awesome. It is huge so you can share it. The saute spinach is great and you cannot stop eating it.

We went as part of celebrating my wife’s birthday, because I know she loves seafood and we are repeat diners at Oceanaire. The food was delicious, as usual, and our waiter helped us select a nice bottle of wine to complement the entrees, all of which were delicious (yellowfin tuna and mahi-mahi). The family-sized sautéed spinach side was so good I asked for the recipe. The shrimp cocktail appetizer had huge shrimp, obviously very fresh. By the time we were winding up, l think our waiter had ended up with too many tables in his section, so we had to wait a bit to get the final tab and settle up, but that did not detract from an overall excellent dining experience. We’ll definitely be back again!

We're seated upstairs where it was secluded and private, perfect for conversation without open seating noises. Our server Susan was amazing. You can tell she is a professional and at the top of her game. She was attentive at the right time, very sociable and relevant. The food and presentation was top notch as well. We had the best Restaurant Week experience and glad to have participated for this good cause.

This establishment treats you like a criminal as soon as you enter the building! We had a party of four for dinner we got to the restaurant early sat at the bar for a bottle of wine before dinner. They took our credit card before they would serve you! If they got that kind of bombs visiting that place, they should hire security when I brought this to the managers attention he likened the policy and procedure to Twin Peaks. “ stating when I go to Twin Peaks they take my credit card when I sit at the bar.” I didn’t believe Oceanaire was comparable to Twin Peaks. Now I know from their management staff. JZ

The food was delicious; however, unfortunately, our waiter did not seem interested in serving our table. More than once, he checked on all tables around us while not even looking our way and we had to request his attention each time we needed something such as a drink refill, boxes, and the check. This has not been our experience in the past, so perhaps they were short-staffed or his section was overbooked. Still, very disappointed with the experience, especially given the price.

Two couples who have dined there a few times before. Nice wine list with reasonably priced bottles. Two in the party participated with Restaurant Week menu, two ordered off the menu. All was very good. The grouper seemed to be the winner… and the bread pudding!

Outstanding dining experience. We came for Restaurant Week but opted for the 2 course Lobster Royale menu and what a treat. The freshness, taste and food quality are top notch. The warm sour dough bread was delicious. We loved the firm/meaty jumbo shrimp w/tangy cocktail sauce. The PEI Mussels in Mariniere broth was outstanding. The steamed jumbo lobster with the sweet corn on the cob and red potatoes was amazing. The cheesecake with strawberries is the best we’ve had in DFW. Our server Tina provided stellar service. The warm towels after each course were much appreciated.

This has always been one of my favorite places to dine but today was a miss with the fish and shrimp cocktail. The fish was beyond bland and you couldn’t even season it up to taste like anything. The shrimp cocktail is on this new dish where they smash the shrimp in these slots. The problem is it makes the shrimp texture mushy so I couldn’t really eat them.

Great serviced good food but the spot we were seated was very warm and NO air flow at all. Perhaps this is because of the 103 temperature outside! My meal was selected from the Restaurant week. Salad wad yummy and the entree. LOVED the dessert, strawberry short cake.

Was not as expected, felt like the typical hotel lobby bar/restaurant with fine dining prices. The wait staff were the stars and attentive. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp scampi and fried calamari was good. The baked Alaska dramatic and good. The crab cakes were mushy and cold, seared tuna ok, but not elevated.

Everything about our dining experience was amazing. Th customer service, the quality of the food, and the environment were all top notch. You must order the blueberry, white chocolate, bread pudding. It was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend it!

We went during restaurant week so with that said, it can be a hit or miss based on my past experiences. The menu was well balance and had enough variety for our party of 5 to keep most happy. The mahi mahi was delicious and my favorite. Service was good. Only concern was it was on the warmer side for my preference, but it’s been so hot this summer it’s tough to cool down for me. We were celebrating our mother’s birthday so it would have been nice to have added a candle or something to acknowledge the special occasion during dessert, but it wasn’t a big deal especially when the birthday girl may not love so much attention. Had a wonderful evening.

It was my birthday and our server Jennifer made it such a special night from great recommendations, to special surprises that made my day. This was my first time at Oceanaire and from the host in the front who accommodated us with our reservations with such great service to the taste of our meals I would happily recommend this location to all!!

Our server, Jada was excellent! The food was great, based upon the recommendations of our server. The evening started out great, we were seated promptly and the staff was courteous. The issue arose during dinner. There was one patron that was extremely LOUD. This impacted an entire section of the restaurant. This was brought to the staff's attention, but we were told that there was nothing they could do. I was surprised by this comment. Informing a patron that they are impacting others by their volume, did not seem like an odd request. Portions of the conversation was offensive. My wife and I left with a headache. Due to the inaction of the staff, this impacted our entire experience. Once again our server was GREAT, as well as the food.

The table was covered in flying insects called fruit flies and made the dinner impossible to enjoy!! The steak was poor quality for the price.. The sea bass had a very bad taste and odor.. The waiter removed the sea bass from the check which was a very good effort to make it right.. The waiter was good with a good attitude.. Overall the insects were the making of a bad experience from the start..

Ordered halibut fish, temperature of the food was not hot, bearly warm, I had the staff member know about it.also Ordered shrimp tempura, again not hot and no salt, quite blan. Husband Ordered redfish, he too was saying not that tasty .Price too high.Walked out paying 200.00 dollars for two of us.

While the food was excellent, the one thing that we were disappointed in was that the hostess seated a young couple with rowdy kids right next to us even though we had requested a romantic, secluded spot to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. The parents were constantly getting onto their kids when they weren't 'ssshhh-ing' them. Very distracting and annoying and down-right irresponsible of the hostess!

Oceanaire has been a go to place for special family celebrations for us for 20+ years. This was our first visit there post Covid. We were disappointed in both the service, kitchen and food quality. Although menu pricing is about 30% higher than pre-Covid this was expected. We see this everywhere and understand. As it was presented, served and prepared however, we expected more. Other favorites (Al Biernet's, Chamberlains) were able to keep staff and quality and continue to deliver to the same, consistently high level as they have always done. When we shared with friends that we were going to Oceanaire to celebrate my wife's birthday with our son and his fiancé, friends shared their own disappointing experiences and recommended other restaurants. But, we had always experienced too notch service and food there ignored their advice. We hope Oceanaire will be able to return the the high standard the once set. But, we will likely take our friends advice and try one of their recommendations the next time.
