OBC Kitchen is a local, chef-driven restaurant that houses an extremely rare bourbon collection, eclectic craft beer selection and extensive wine list. Centuries-old local barn wood surrounds guests as they enjoy high quality, distinctive dishes in a pub like atmosphere. Indulge in chef-driven dishes and seasonal favorites. Celebrate the weekend with $5 Happy Hour features each Friday. Enjoy brunch favorites, bloody marys and mimosas on Saturday and Sunday.

The passionate staff fosters a spirit of hospitality and Kentucky heritage. OBC Kitchen was named after the counties that eventually became Kentucky; “Old Bourbon County” was stamped on bourbon barrels that floated down the Mississippi from Kentucky and became synonymous with the best bourbon in the U.S.

    The food was underwhelming. The Elote dip appetizer bore no resemblance to actual elote and was just a runny and vinegary cheese dip with only a little roasted corn. The Al Pastor pork chop also bore no resemblance to actual al pastor, lacking any flavor and color of chile guajillo and the garlic and spices that characterize actual al pastor. The only al pastor-like feature was some pineapple atop the pork chop which, to be fair, was a good pork chop. Diners would be better served if the names of the dishes corresponded to the more pedestrian dishes actually served, rather than the more exotic names on the menu. My dining companion had the fried chicken whose coating he found very hard rather than flaky, and which was served as a complete half chicken, rather than pieces that would be easier to eat. Our waiter was rather full of himself - asking multiple times "how fantastic was that" and not listening attentively and following up on my dismissive "it's fine." That said, the drink selection is impressive.

    Calamari was excellent. Salads were perfect. Scallops and risotto were spot on. Pork chop was dry as a bone. Need to do better with that. I’d prefer some pink to grey and lifeless.

    Great place. One of our favorites. Heads up, they DON'T take Open table reward checks. I had one for $16 and they said they have their own program and don't honor OT. That won't keep me from returning. I'll just try and up the OT reward somewhere else. I would recommend you us OT points for gift cards to Starbucks or something.

    Server was top notch. Food was sub par. Don’t go here for steak. We had fried green tomato app and it was delicious. Entrees were ok. We aren’t bourbon fans, but this would be the place to go for A bourbon experience.
