Located on Charleston's historic Broad Street, Oak Steakhouse is a classic American steakhouse. A classic array of both wet and dry aged Certified Angus® Beef are featured on the menu. Ingredients are sourced locally and regionally from sustainable farmers and fisherman to accent the steakhouse menu. Items including local oysters on the half-shell, Clammer Dave's caper clams and a daily fresh fish selection depending on the season. Other popular dishes include the whole fried lobster, goat.sheep.cow artisanal cheese plate, wedge of Kurios Farms bibb lettuce salad, the house-made pasta and vegetarian plate. The expansive and impressive wine program at Oak Steakhouse emphasizes big California Cabernets and Old World reds from Italy and Bordeaux with more than 200 wines by the bottle and 20 wines by the glass. The bar attracts a loyal, local following from nearby businesses and neighborhoods with its great cocktails and happy hour. Inside a historic bank building that dates back to 1848, Oak's stately setting features three floors with five distinct dining areas.                                                                                               Really nice upscale dining experience. Cam (our waiter) did a great job of being attentive and helpful. Food was outstanding ~ room looks great; for sure a 5 star dining experience!

                                                                                              Fantastic meal celebrating a birthday at the Oak Steakhouse. Service was great and all of our fillets were perfect. We chose quite a few sides; whipped mashed potatoes, cornbread, macaroni, truffle fries (yum), carrots (could have been cooked more, very hard, creamed spinach (yum). Saved the best to last; the triple layered chocolate cake, crème brûlée and bread pudding! Overall experience excellent!

                                                                                              We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary at Oak Steakhouse. The food and the service were both extraordinary. We had a beautiful table an d the restaurant was quite enough to have a conversation. If we ever find ourselves in Charleston again, we will definitely be coming back to Oak.

                                                                                              The restaurant was gorgeous.The hostess and waiter were very polite and responsive. The Oak salad was fresh and tasty. The rolls, which cost $5, were average at best--not very flavorful and seemed to not be fresh. (I feels bread should always be complimentary at a place this expensive--IMO) The filet was perfectly cooked, a nice grilled char flavor w additional salt crystals on the plate to flavor to your liking. The truffle fried were AMAZING, the best I've ever had! They accompanied the steak perfectly! The bread pudding was batch cooked and slightly burnt without much flavor, though the ice cream on top was very good. Overall, a great dining experience!!
