Located on Charleston's historic Broad Street, Oak Steakhouse is a classic American steakhouse. A classic array of both wet and dry aged Certified Angus® Beef are featured on the menu. Ingredients are sourced locally and regionally from sustainable farmers and fisherman to accent the steakhouse menu. Items including local oysters on the half-shell, Clammer Dave's caper clams and a daily fresh fish selection depending on the season. Other popular dishes include the whole fried lobster, goat.sheep.cow artisanal cheese plate, wedge of Kurios Farms bibb lettuce salad, the house-made pasta and vegetarian plate. The expansive and impressive wine program at Oak Steakhouse emphasizes big California Cabernets and Old World reds from Italy and Bordeaux with more than 200 wines by the bottle and 20 wines by the glass.     I’ve never left a review for a restaurant before, but Oak Steakhouse deserved the honor. We made reservations for our first night in Charleston and man, did it set the tone. Our server was phenomenal, very patient and polite and filled us in on the nights menu with the catch of the day and their own personal recommendation of the Land and Sea dish. At first thought, I thought the server recommended it because it’s pricey, but we ordered it anyways and we quickly discovered it was recommended for a much more impressive reason. It was the BEST food we have eaten in a long, long while. The crab was delectable, and the steak had the perfect crust and was fork-tender. The flavors were delicious but not overly salty. The béarnaise sauce tied the dish together in the perfect little package. Highly recommend!

    We were met by a very gracious hostess who took us to what turned out to be the best table in the house. Our waiter, Dave, couldn’t have been better! We ordered drinks, then he explained all the options. Our salads and meals were done to perfection. Even though, stuffed, we managed half the chocolate cake for desert, and brought the remainder home. What a wonderful venue for our anniversary. We shall return!

    Service (Rick et al) and food were fantastic. We celebrated my daughter’s 30th birthday and Oak went above and beyond what we ever expected. Our group was from northern New York, Vermont and Georgia and we were impressed to say the least. Thanks for a wonderful and meaningful celebration of #mygirl.

    Good food and service. Waited a little long to receive main course. They knew it was wife’s birthday so a complementary desert would have been a nice touch, especially considering the price of food and wine.
