   I looked forward to a great steak dinner but was disappointed. The food was cold and so was our waiter Ryan. He never returned to our table once our meal was served. Our waiter stood behind me while addressing only my husband which I found off putting at best. Our meal cost $250.00 without tip. I love rock music but it was played at a loud volume and really not the best choice for a steak house. The oak steak house was a beautiful restaurant but I would not recommend it.

   Wonderful meal and great service. A great dining experience. Little loud for the neighboring table, but no fault of the restaurant. Highly recommend.

   One of the best overall experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Food and service was spot on! If you are in Charleston celebrating a special occasion, business dinner or simply want a great experience, Oak Steakhouse is a must!

   Wonderful dining experience. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Courteous waiter. Slice and spice cocktail tasty and lived up to its spice name. Tenderloin perfectly cooked-so flavorful. Delicious. Everything one wants in dining.

   We went for my husband’s birthday tonight. He ordered a strip steak medium rare and it came back rare. They tried again with a new piece of meat and it also came back rare. Then they finally brought it back (when the rest of us had finished our meals) properly cooked but it was very tough and virtually inedible (and $113!). On top of that, they claim their steaks are “prime”, but we suspect that they are probably “choice”. Usually our waiters at the Oak are friendly, but this waiter was rude and surly and basically quit attending to our table . We had to flag him down for dessert (a birthday cake). I had mentioned to the restaurant ahead of time that we were celebrating a birthday and wanted chocolate cake for dessert and was told that the restaurant comped birthday cake desserts. When the moment arrived, a big slab of seemingly stale cake (that was not comped) was unceremoniously banged down on the table without a knife to cut it into four portions. We are locals who live around the corner in the neighborhood and have heretofore been regulars. At this point, however, we regrettably would not recommend dining at the Oak.

   Our dinner experience was excellent. Our server Eric was professional, personable, with the right amount of attention. It was a special celebration and Eric made it more so with the special touches and complimentary dinner accompaniments. Quality of food also met our expectations. Highly recommend Oak!

   I’ve never left a review for a restaurant before, but Oak Steakhouse deserved the honor. We made reservations for our first night in Charleston and man, did it set the tone. Our server was phenomenal, very patient and polite and filled us in on the nights menu with the catch of the day and their own personal recommendation of the Land and Sea dish. At first thought, I thought the server recommended it because it’s pricey, but we ordered it anyways and we quickly discovered it was recommended for a much more impressive reason. It was the BEST food we have eaten in a long, long while. The crab was delectable, and the steak had the perfect crust and was fork-tender. The flavors were delicious but not overly salty. The béarnaise sauce tied the dish together in the perfect little package. Highly recommend!

    This was our first visit to Oak Steakhouse but we will definitely be back. Great food. Beautiful atmosphere and the service was superb!
