Every single thing we had was exceptional, from the bread to start the meal through the carrot cake at the end of the meal. The steak was like butter, the chicken was so tender, and the lobster tail was amazing. Plus the service couldn't have been better; such attention to detail. Highly recommend.
Awesome as always
We have reservations for 7:15, and were seated promptly. We sat on 3d floor overlooking Broad St and enjoyed the corner table.
Our food, Filets, crab cakes and tile fish were delicious. Perfectly cooked. Service was superb. Our waiter was there, but invisible which was perfect! Friends from Tampa tremendously impressed.
Amazing meal! I recommend the filet and Brussels sprouts.
Service and food was amazing. Highly recommend!
Oaks is certainly amazing and never disappoints! This is absolutely one our favorite places to dine in Charleston and Charleston is home for us. The filet is probably one of the best filets in Charleston, hands down. The 12oz CAB filet is my go to. The service is always fast and friendly! Make reservations as the bar area is tight so don't assume you can just walk in and eat. It is worth the planning so plan ahead. All of side dishes are spot on so it is hard to tell you which ones, but our favorite is the mac'n'cheese!
Absolutely wonderful! The service was excellent, food was delicious, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Highly recommend.
We were celebrating an anniversary and were greeted with an acknowledgment of our event.
Great service and friendly staff. Excellent food as well. Perfectly prepared
This was easily the best meal we’ve had in Charleston. I could not recommend it more.
Our waitress was visibly upset when we ordered drinks and several apps but no entree. Still an 85 dollar bill so it’s not like we had water and crackers. She had a hard time even serving us after that. Definitely made us not want to come back.
Great food and service!
Food was amazing! Service was incredible! Sunday was half price bottles of wine :). Definitely recommend!
My wife and I had dinner on a Saturday night. The place was packed but we didn’t feel rushed at all. The butchers plate was outstanding and Oysters Rockefeller is the best we have ever eaten. For the food snobs out there this place is certainly not going to disappoint you. They take great pride in their presentation and flavor combinations. I highly recommend Oak Steakhouse.
Awesome place - great food and service.
Second time here this week. First time a hamburger(excellent) second time bone-in filet(split with my husband). Sides-Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and corn bread). If you have to choose one- the corn bread is phenomenal. Will be back the next time in Charleston
We eat here every time we are in town. The food is consistently good and the service is first rate. My only criticism is that it can be quite noisy. However, that will not deter us from returning!
As always Oak went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. The management and staff are very attentive. I'm not sure why Hall's is seen as the top steakhouse in the city while this place keeps their doors open.
Birthday dinner after a Spoleto event. Food wine and server Robert were excellent
The food and service were wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. My chicken dish was surprisingly good and my husband loved the meat. Peanut butter pie was so very rich.
Excellent food, excellent service. Everyone was very polite and professional. Would recommend to anyone.
Everything was exceptional! My husband and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and Oaks made us feel it was as important to them as it was to us! From a personal card on the table. To everyone greeting us with “happy Anniversary”. We would definitely go back ASAP!
The best Food and Service ever. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Very good food, service is great. Only complaint is the building is a multi level set up so you can have somewhat of a private event/date but we were on the second level and the noise level seemed to all boom at that level and made conversation a little difficult.
The house salad was soggy, and food presentation was mediocre. Service was good, however we asked the waiter how many lamb chops were on a plate and he said
6, however only 4 were actually in the order.
One was ordered very rare and the other order was supposed to be medium- rare and had to be sent back for additional cooking.
We had to use the elevator to go to the tables upstairs and when we were finished with dinner, we used the elevator to return to the main floor, however the kitchen staff was using the elevator for dirty dishes, silverware, empty 5 gallon water bottles, etc...and I had to move some of these things out of the elevator so we could get in-
Overall impression - food was ok,
Not great and would return there and
$70 dollar steaks are pricey.
One of the best dining experiences of my life. Oysters Rockefeller and foi gras were excellent appetizers. Went with the Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly (med rare) + bacon Mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and truffle fries. Finished with the delectable chocolate cake. Not only was the food fabulous, our wait staff was more attentive and friendly than I have ever experienced before. Fantastic experience. We will be back for sure.
Never lets us down, always ranked at the top of the list for us here in Charleston.
Great restaurant and atmosphere. All the food was excellent but steak temp was cool. Drinks and service were spot on.
Great food and service. Our steaks were perfectly prepared. The cauliflower side was unique and yummy The burger seemed to be a popular choice among other patrons. Overall, a great find.
Terrific service, atmosphere. Top floor more formal. Delicious carrot cake and steaks. Whipped mashed potatoes superior in Charleston.
Awesome- best servic and food so far
Another excellent meal at Oak. We visit Charleston one weekend a month and always have one fine dining experience. It has become obvious that Oak keeps appearing as our favorite. The ambience and atmosphere are perfect for a date night and the service never fails. From the entrance, thru the meal, to the visit from the manager one always feels welcome. I have not even mentioned the food. A marvelous cut of meat, prepared exactly as requested. The sides are always special and dessert rounds it off. The wine is fairly priced and a broad selection. Will continue to be our go to place.
Great food great atmosphere. Love the restaurant
Waiter was decent but there seemed to be some specials we missed based on some of the parties next to us. Steaks were very good, the ribeye was great and the strip was a close second. The sides were ok, we had bacon Mac n cheese which was decent and the jalapeño cornbread was very good. Waiter suggested a good bottle of wine in the price point we were looking for! Overall a pretty good experience but for the price I was expecting a little more!
My wife and I were there for our anniversary, and we couldn’t have selected a better restaurant for the celebration. We both had the filet mignon, and it was amazing. The service was impeccable, and the decor of the restaurant was casually classy. I used the Open Table to make our reservations, and mentioned that it was our anniversary. We had a card waiting for us at our table from the Oaks Steakhouse wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Very nice touch. Definitely recommend the Oaks Steakhouse for any occasion.
The service was amazing, beautiful place. The food however was not what we were expecting, they cut my husbands filet up into chunks...he has a way of cutting his own steak so this was disappointing. My ribeye was so thick it was tough.
Best steak I ever had in my life
It was wonderful. Service was great. Food was excellent.
The meal was amazing! Best steak! Great atmosphere!
I am 61 yrs old and dined out quite a bit and this place is my all time favorite. Our server Bryan was a pleasure to talk to and his knowledge of the menu was immeasurable. He took the time to engage and make sure we knew we were in good hands. The food from A to Z was outstanding, the NY strip, every bite a delight, filet amazing, and the sides done with a flair. The brussel sprouts alone are worth a visit, yes i said brussel sprouts. It is on the pricey side but in my humble opinion, well worth it. If you have a special occassion, do youself a favor and go without hesitation. You wont regret it.
Your reception desk - stellar / Brian our waiter - stellar. Your building is so lovely. I would have been back if I had stayed longer in Charleston. Food delicious.
