Located on Charleston's historic Broad Street, Oak Steakhouse is a classic American steakhouse. A classic array of both wet and dry aged Certified Angus® Beef are featured on the menu. Ingredients are sourced locally and regionally from sustainable farmers and fisherman to accent the steakhouse menu. Items including local oysters on the half-shell, Clammer Dave's caper clams and a daily fresh fish selection depending on the season. Other popular dishes include the whole fried lobster, goat.sheep.cow artisanal cheese plate, wedge of Kurios Farms bibb lettuce salad, the house-made pasta and vegetarian plate. The expansive and impressive wine program at Oak Steakhouse emphasizes big California Cabernets and Old World reds from Italy and Bordeaux with more than 200 wines by the bottle and 20 wines by the glass.                                                                                               My husband and I celebrated our 12th Anniversary at Oak Steakhouse on September 8th. From the moment we stepped in the door, the ambience and service was fantastic. We met some "regulars" at the bar who were lovely to chat with and make recommendations. We were escorted to our table on the 3rd floor where Ramesh treated us to an evening of great customer service. "Happy Anniversary" and a "12" were printed on the menu to make our night extra special. Per the "regular" we ordered a special bottle of wine and it was delectable. We shared the beef carpaccio, I had the filet and whipped loaded potatoes while my husband had the red snapper special. All of the food was incredible. But I have to say those potatoes were to die for!! Ramesh complimented us with the cornbread appetizer which was also amazing!! Oak Steakhouse made our special night even more wonderful and we would highly recommend it!

Would have loved a little more dedication in helping make our anniversary special but overall we still had a great time. I would consider coming back.

                                                                                              Our group took a new client and his fiance' to dinner. Everything was perfect. From the drinks, appetizers, wine, main course & dessert! Our server was very attentive and the flow was perfect! The steaks were simply up there with the best I've ever eaten! A MUST if you're looking for something extraordinary.

                                                                                              I went here to celebrate my birthday this past Sunday. What a disappointment. We paid to park, that part was expected, but the wait for my reservation was not, and had to purchase more time due to their poor management. We waited 30 mins after the seating time to be seated. Really annoying when they called the day before to confirm the reservation, food allergies, and special occasion etc. They were clearly overbooked and understaffed. No apology on their part. When we were finally seated, the noise level was loud, lively, we picked here over another place, due to their noise level also being loud. It was quite some time before we waited on. Ordered a glass of wine and water and that took some time to recieve. Ordered the beef carpaccio as an appetizer, that came out quickly and was excellently prepared, best I have ever had! But that is the highlight of the night. I had the scallop appetizer it was just meh, poor presentation, blah looking, and rubbery in texture The steaks were a huge letdown. I have had prime steak in multiple restaurants, and this was the worst cuts of meats I have ever experienced. A prime ribeye and filet should cut like butter. I was literally sawing the ribeye with my knife. Taste was good, well flavored, but I did not finish nor enjoy chewing this meat! I can cook better at home from the butcher shop. They did not charge me for the steaks at least. I also had the wedge salad, pooly dressed, and dry. Most restaurants acknowledge your special occasion in some form, this one did not. The experience was lackluster and a sad way to celebrate a birthday. We were here over 2 hours, with poor service and food.

                                                                                              We celebrated my husbands birthday here and were impressed with the wine selection, and taste and quality of food. Beautiful ambiance and excellent service. My only comment would be to let guests select a dessert of their choice from the menu. You can afford it at $79 for a steak. The free dessert was some bizarre stale chocolate covered potato chip thing that was gross. Toss that one out pastry department!
