My brother arrived first and was told the kitchen was closed. When the rest of the party arrived, nobody was at the hostess stand to welcome us. After waiting for a few minutes and 3-4 employees walking by, my party of 8 left and ate across the street. I don't plan on going back. If the kitchen is closed, the least you could do is call your reservations and let them know. Horrible service and not worth the hassle.

The food was typical bar food but it was good. The outstanding thing was the service, just a really friendly and helpful staff. Our drinks were excellent as well.

From the first moments at the hostess stand, the staff projected disorganization and disorder. Once seated, our waitress quickly demonstrated that while pleasant, she had not received any meaningful training on the practice of serving, and had not developed the requisite knowledge on her own. The menu is pretty un-inspired, which is to say mundane. The meat and cheese board was at the college-dorm-room-get-together level. The brussel sprouts were good if unimaginative, delivered with a teaspoon as a serving implement. The burger was fine, waffle fries good. The food was acceptable but induced the same yawn that I'm sure was expressed as it was being prepared. I really can't quite get what they're going for there. There's a big rack of children's games right by the hostess stand-- curious for a downtown bar next to a college. As I say, the staff is extremely casual; what I took to be a supervisor was a lot more plugged in to his dog than his clientele. Absent some big changes, I give it 10 months.

Not impressed with the quality of the food overall. We both ordered the waffle fries and they weren't crispy...more rubbery. My chicken sandwich was BARELY cooked through and the fish and chips entree was way overdone and not flaky or moist. Very dry. The beer was great but you can get that most places. The best thing were the brussel sprouts for the appetizer.

The service was so terrible that it could not make up for the average food and decent beers.

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back!!!! We went for Sunday brunch and the food was delicious!!!! I went with my 80 year old mother and my daughters (both in their 20's) and we were all perfectly comfortable. The service was terrific!!!! We had a nice relaxing meal and, while it wasn't crowded at all, we all felt like the non-rushed "take your time and enjoy" service and atmosphere would have been the same even if they were crowded. Next time we'll go when we aren't on a schedule and sample some of the beers and play some of the board / card games they have for the patrons. Great place!!!!!!
