New York Pickle Deli has always been about the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Our juicy boneless, skinless chicken breast is seasoned without preservatives, and with 3 ingredients; black pepper, sea salt and parsley. Our roast beef is slow roasted right here in our oven for almost 3 hours. Our New York style corned beef is slow cooked every day with natural garlic and spices; making our Reubens and corned beef hash customer favorites...(our favorites too). For breakfast you will find our secret recipe cinnamon wheat pancakes (we will tell you they are made with real applesauce instead of shortening though!) Our breakfast syrup is a down south recipe with real vanilla, brown sugar and nutmeg. You will find something you love at breakfast or lunch whether you're looking for something healthy, or if you're just in the mood for some good old comfort food.

We had a 9am reservation for 5 adults. I asked to be seated close to the door due us having someone that could not walk far distances. We got there and there were only 2 other parties sitting at their tables in the restaurant. The hostess proceeded to take us to the farthest table in the back of the restaurant. It took 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Some of us ordered ice teas. 3 had coffees. And we asked for water. About 15 minutes for our drinks to come, another 10 for the waters to arrive. I had to get up and go find straws and napkins at a back table. Our orders were taken by a different server who didn’t even crack a smile. We then watched order after order go out to other tables that came in long after us. Our food finally arrived around 10:15am after someone in our party inquired about it. No one checked back to see if our food was good. It was ok. My French toast was good, but the eggs were dry and tasteless. The bacon tasted like paper. My mother’s home fries had a weird taste too- not sure what it was. A busser came and got my mom’s plate but then no one came back for the others. A nice young lady came and topped off coffees, but no refills were offered on the tea or waters. We sat there for another 15 minutes before someone from our party got up and went into the kitchen area to ask for our check. Then she had to bring her credit card back into the kitchen as the server never moved to come take it from us. No one thanked us for coming. And it appeared that some of the other tables around us were experiencing the same thing. We will not be back. Which is a shame because the menu SOUNDS good. But a waste of menu when it comes to taste and service. 2 hours for breakfast in a restaurant that was near empty when we arrived is absurd.

Quite a popular spot for breakfast and lunch so highly recommended a reservation. Food was underwhelming. Might give them another chance in the future, may have been an off day.

I find the food and the atmosphere fantastic! The place is cozy and creatively decorated and the food is delicious! Conveniently located on Route 3 in Rocky Hill.

Delicious food—perfectly crisp bacon! Friendly staff; clean and comfortable dining area. We love NYPD and go there often.

The service here is less than subpar. The server didn’t come to our table until 15 minutes after we sat down, and our food didn’t arrive until nearly an hour after ordering. Then, I discovered that my order was placed incorrectly and included meat in it so I had to ask them to bring me the plate that I ordered, since I’m a vegetarian. After we finished eating and stacked our plates, the server didn’t return for over 30 minutes so we could ask for our check. Unfortunately, this is the third time I have visited, and the service has only gotten worse. If you have three hours available for brunch, then this is your place.
