Everyone has a favorite dish at North. Every day, our Chefs start from scratch to create handmade pizza and pasta using only the best ingredients to craft inspired dishes from the garden, farm, and sea. North defines the standards for handcrafted Italian. We have the grilled bread and olive oil. We had the always delicious zuka chips. And to add some vegi's we have the seasonal vegi salad and it is amazing!

                                                                                                                                                                                  We love North and the food is always great, but this trip the service was just not good. Being a former server in college, I understand how difficult this job is and definitely give a lot of grace. With that being said our server seemed distracted, overwhelmed, and not present. It took over 45 minutes to get our bread appetizer. Our server did not seem very concerned or apologetic that we waited for so long. I suspect she probably forgot to ring our appetizer in because food was coming out all around us for people who got sat after us. It would have been nice to have a manager at least come over and apologize for how long we had waited. I never expect free food and that’s not what I was looking for but it would have been nice for someone to acknowledge us and sincerely apologize for the wait. I had also noted in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and she made no mention of it. Like I said we love the quality of food at North and will be back but the lack of good service from both the server and manager side last night but a damper on our birthday celebration.

                                                                                                                                                                                  We sat outside as the people and car watching was very interesting as the whole Legacy area is very cool. Our server, Adam, was excellent, the truffle bread and meatballs appetizers were outstanding, and the wine was perfect. All in all a wonderful evening. Well done and thanks Adam, we’ll see you back again soon!!

The scallops were over seasoned and are extremely salty. We notified our waitress when she checked back on us when we’re almost done, she looked at the plate and asked if we want them to remake the plate. We said no as we were leaving soon. She didn’t mentioned anything and said ok and left. It seems like she doesn’t know how to read the room. Normally in these situations, the staff would at least notify the manager for resolution or future customer satisfaction improvements, but that didn’t happen. It made customers feel they are not valued and the staff training is lacking. Our waitress cannot answer several of the questions we had on the menu when we were ordering which is a signal of weak staff training. I might visit again as the pasta is generally quite good, but I will think twice before bringing more guests due to the lack of service.

                                                                                                                                                                                  This was my second visit to North Italia and Plano and once again an outstanding experience.Our waitress was excellent and told us about some new dishes that were being offered. We did try them and everything was excellent. I will definitely make this restaurant part of my rotation.

However, today our experience was not the greatest, our server was rude and since the beginning she tried to rushed us and during dinner she had poor customer service.
