North Italia - Austin 2nd Street
Really enjoyed chicken parm!
NYE dinner was fantastic. Portions were appropriate and each dish delivered great flavors. To top off the evening, our service couldn’t have been better. Cheers to North Italia!
New Year's Eve. Great service, food and ambiance!
New Years Eve!
Fantastic service and meal was very enjoyable. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines we chose and the wood oven pizzas were amazing.
Food is sooooo good! Fresh and flavorful! Ambience is beautiful and staff very friendly.
The food was delicious, full of flavor, it was fresh, great portions - chicken parmigiana and scallops with pasta. The staff was outstanding. I will definitely come back.
Service could use some improvement
The waitstaff here has been excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. The food is consistently good, eclectic Italian and American. They do short ribs well. Their prosciutto pizza with plums is good with added grilled chicken. The portion size is very good, usually not much leftover. The salmon dish is good also. Bartenders are very nice and very good, too.
North Italia is one of my favorite places to eat in Austin! The calamari, pizza, scallops is amazing! Also if you're looking for a great red wine, the sky fall is the BEST!
Good food. Pasta bolognese and sea bass in butter sauce were pleasing. For some reason the bread is always cold, whether it is garlic bread or the regular bread. Not too loud this time but can get loud. Our server Analuisa was pleasant and attentive.
Food was good, slightly cold. Portion size was not the best value for the money.
One of our very favorite restaurants for pleasure and business!
Great place for any occasion, I went out on a date it was perfect.
The hostess staff was at best a 2 star.
It was as if we interrupted there conversation . No warm greeting and when we were seated , menus were set backwards, and no interaction with us , such as enjoy your time. It definitely set a sour time to our evening! Our server was fine but also disinterested. Restaurant was slow as well.
We had a birthday in the group and it was mentioned. We were not expecting a complimentary dessert but we were not offered a dessert menu. We left with no ending to our celebrations. No dessert, menu or gracious goodbye .
Food was great! Good job kitchen.
My favorite restaurant in Austin now! Amazing food and ambience!!!
Excelente lugar, comida informal , malos los vinos de la casa , tanto rojos como blancos
Recomiendo seleccione botella
This was an exceptionally good restaurant with a very hip, current vibe and a fabulous menu. We had the truffle garlic bread which was outstanding, as were the salads. The scallop / risotto entree was excellent as well. The bolognese wasn't up to par with what we thought it would be, but -- generally -- everything was lovely.
Celebrated our anniversary here and the food and vibe was amazing. Recommend to have a reservation on weekend nights.
Our server was fantastic but our food was terrible. I ordered the tortellini dish and my friend ordered the bolognese. The first bite of my dish was a FROZEN cherry tomato and my dining partner said some of his noodles were not fully cooked! This dinner was not cheap either. I'm not sure if this is a regular thing, but obviously the kitchen was having a terrible off night. I am not sure if I will be returning here.
So glad we made a reservation because the place was packed! Got a lovely seat at the end of a high table where we could watch the magic in the kitchen. Our server was pleasant and very knowledgable about the wine. I ordered my favorite - Pesto Chicken Pasta - which is bursting with flavor and you don't have to dig around to find the protein...packed with it! Husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan; equally mouth-watering, and pretty salty, but that's how I like it. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and portions. Love this place!
We are regular North customers both personally and professionally. Unfortunately the person in charge of seating us for our online reservation ignored that I am a disabled person with a hearing loss and did not have a booth reserved as requested. She then put us at a table next to an exit door in a draft because I spoke up, and questioned why there is an option for a special request if it is going to be ignored? I think you employees may need some training in how do deal with disabled people in an accommodating fashion....which is the law by the way. "Disappointed" is my review. We are still positive on North as I know someone will follow up on my concerns.
Alway a staple stop when I go to Austin! This is consistently an awesome place to dine!!
Awesome. Great food and great service. Been a few times and the quality is consistent and high.
Alcohol was very pricey and the quantity of both food and drink was low per portion, but the food was very delicious!
Food was excellent, services couldn't have been better and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
A little bit on the loud side, but it was Friday night in Austin. Great place and a really good server and food
We had a very positive experience dining at North Italia!
My favorite Italian
Service was very slow. Drinks ordered after being seated did not come until just before food was served. Maybe they were short staffed. Food however was very good. Valet parking for $10
Really good Italian food accompanied by great service. We had the meatballs as a starter and we were very impressed as well as really full. Glad we didn't order our entrees at the same time as we wouldn't have finished them. We had the pizza instead and it was excellent.
Awesome location with fresh vibrant food and great service by kevin.
Server was inattentive.
Lovely outside patio but construction in the area was really loud
The space is beautiful. The service was great. We loved the calamari appetizer (huge portion!) and the burrata torteloni was melt in your mouth amazing. The fig pizza was good, but a little lacking in toppings for the price.
Always outstanding here. Particularly the service. Food is excellent. To me, this is by far the best restaurant in Austin. It's not even close.
We were greeted at the door with a smile. Seated and served with care. Food was great. Excellent as always, from a regular.
Always love having date night with my fiancé here!
