   North Box Restaurant setting is lovely. Overlooking the elegant foyer of the Opera House, it provides a feeling of quiet elegance, but not pretentious. The service is wonderful, the menu is appropriate light meal or appetizer pre performance and/or during intermissions. It's a favorite.

   Very high-priced for the quality of food. Shrimp in seafood salad did not seem fresh; the cost of dinner rolls was ridiculous. Next time we’ll go to a quality restaurant before the event.

   Fun venue in good location. The night we visited it seemed that all servers, perhaps the entire staff, were in training. Forgotten orders (they were quickly done when reminded) and little follow-up. Menu selection not great. Ordered one 'hot' entree, prawns, that was delivered nearly cold...very tasty anyway, but $44 for 5 medium prawns seems a bit much. Had included request for railing seating to overlook lobby in rezzie, but when we got there we were told that 'donors and others' had priority. Asked how to get seats along the railing--response made it clear that they chose who could sit there based on importance. All the staff were kind and responsive, but still have a lot of training needed--looking forward to visiting again when staff is trained. Overall an OK experience.

   This is my place to go to especially if we want to attend the pre-performance talk. I treated my friend to her birthday lunch before attending the ballet and she loved it. It is such a lovely setting overlooking the Opera house lobby, quiet and intimate. The menu, while not extensive, always offers a fresh selection of items and beverages. The wait staff are attentive and professional. It's a nice way to start your afternoon/evening at the Opera house.

   Very limited menu; no expresso machine; too expensive for what you get--$130.00 for salad, charcuterie plate and 2 glasses of wine.

   Food was above expected. Fun to sit in North Box and see lobby and watch people. Service staff very friendly.
