Food was great, but our waiter was awful. Came off as extremely grumpy from the minute we sat down. For how expensive this place is, the service was disappointing.

Excellent food and service. Nopa has done a great job with the parklet - super well build and nice. The ambience isn't lost with outdoor seating. Outstanding food - super unique and delicious.

There was hair in our appetizers. This has never happened to me before at NOPA however we were eating outside and maybe the wind blew hair though we had two different types of hair in our food and neither was our own. We didn’t feel like we could tell our server Natalie as she seemed new and we had to wait a bit for things to come to our table even though folx that were seated after us got their same orders from Natalie on time.

It was very chilly dining outside, not near a heater, otherwise it was an excellent dinner and service!

Nopa’s outdoor parklet is beautifully designed and cozy even during cold windy nights. The service and food are outstanding!

Our server Natalie was fantastic answering all
Of our questions and with her wine recommendation. The restaurant did its best with outdoor options on a busy street. Each and every dish was special and delicious

We ordered at least 10 dishes/desserts, and every single one was fabulous. The thing I love most about Nopa is that the food is exquisite: clearly made from the freshest ingredients, with amazingly unexpected twists on classics, while still feeling causal. While the restaurant and the new parklet are gorgeous, they are also welcoming to all. Who doesn't love a fine-dining restaurant, with amazing servers and staff, that has something for everyone on the menu, and feels casual/not stuffy? And the owners: you could not meet nicer, more genuine and generous humans. Laurence and Holly are amazing. Go as soon as you can get a reservation. You will not be disappointed, I promise!

We ate outside in a well built parklet, nicely warmed. The food here is always delicious, the service kind & professional, and the crowd very energetic. Cocktails are excellent too! I look forward to being able to dine inside again.

We are longtime, loyal NOPA patrons. The outdoor experience was terrible.
1. Our seating was awkward—I understand they are trying to seat as many people as possible, but the table that is not under a heat lamp nor in the parklet was brittle.
2. First little order mess up: wrong cocktail
3. Second order mess up: server either forgot to place the pork chop order or made a huge assumption about your meal.
One main entre came out (seafood stew was amazing), and the server thought we were sharing it.
I don’t eat pork chops so my husband ate some of the stew.
The waiter waited until I finished (it was so cold by the time I was done) and then said the pork chop was just being fired up.
We sat there in silence, freezing, and ended up having the meal boxed up to go.
Yes, I will recommend NOPA when we can all eat indoors. But the outdoor seating plan—NOPE! The parklet construction is lovely, though.

The food was fabulous, portions large, and parquette quite cozy for evening outside dining. Our only complaint was the pacing of the meal. We knew we were allotted 2 hours for our party of four, but service was sufficiently slow so that we had no time for dessert or coffee (and we were celebrating 2 birthdays!).

Soooo great to be back. Pork chop is the best in the city. All the food and wine was superb. Met the new beverage director, she was lovely. Loved our server, Louie. Can’t wait to return.

We were seated for outdoor dining for a group of 4. We had the pork chop, fried chicken, pasta and duck. Pork chop and fried chicken were moist. Very nice. Pasta and duck were also good. It was a lot of food for the 4 of us. We would definitely go again.

It was great to experience NOPA again! It’s been over a year but the food was once again incredible! Service was a little disjointed and lacking but overall great experience! Glad they are reopen again. The standouts were the smoked trout appetizer, the porchetta entre and the warm star berry crisp dessert!!

My son is a chef in San Francisco and took me to Nopa last Saturday night when I was in town for a visit. What a wonderful meal. The food was interesting and delicious. We started with the little fried fish, so good, Little Gem salad, smoked trout, olive oil tuna, Pappardelle and country pork chop. All I have to say is they were all amazing! The service was excellent and so was the wine. I would highly recommend this place to those that love a great restaurant experience

Tasty food and great environment. Portions were a little small. One cocktail was delicious, the other tasted watered down. Definitely worth going back.

We enjoyed our meal of small plates. The celery soup was our favorite and to die for. We liked our smoked trout plate and the flatbread. The little fish were OK (I should have remembered what smelt tasted like from my youth). Our drinks were lovely.

It was okay. Nothing to write home about. No real standouts. The mezzanine tables aren’t as good as first floor. The ambiance is lousy upstairs. Food was meh. If you need to meetup to eat and have trouble finding a place, it is fine. But it wouldn’t be my first choice.

My husband and I found ourselves in a position of having an early dinner so that we didn’t have to fight the traffic back to the East Bay. We stumbled across Nopa, and we were delighted with our entire evening. The bartender was able to suggest a spot-on tequila that catered to my tastebuds, and was very helpful in suggesting our entrees. The service at Nopa was friendly, enthusiastic, and timely. This a wonderful neighborhood restaurant that sets a very high bar, literally and figuratively. I would highly suggest Nopa for individual, couple, family and group dining.
