NOPA never fails to deliver a wonderful evening of food, service, and friendliness. We can't visit San Francisco without coming to NOPA at least once. After many years, it's still a hot reservation to get, the food is outstanding and the service is attentive and friendly.
Fairly noisy, but the food was excellent. I'm not big on french toast but Nopa's is noteworthy.
Fantastic food and great service. Servers were friendly and helpful and the food was beyond good and fresh.
Fantastic service delivering wonderfully delicious and exciting food.
Solid 6.5 in terms of food. The drinks were also decent. Great to go for a first time dinner but not sure if I’ll come back, maybe eventually will check out the brunch.
Only very minor remarks on the food - overall it's a 360° strive for perfection. Very close to the European "Roots centric" new generation of chefs. But with a Frisco twist.
Extra kudos for the staff.
We shared 4 small plates... all were prepared well and very tasty... especially the avacado toast! Can’t wait to go back and try other selections.
This was a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was buzzy, the service prompt and helpful and the food delicious
Best pork chop ever?
Great food, great service, excellent bar and wine list. Always a pleasure.
I am very impressed with the overall quality of the food, especially given that they’ve been in business for quite a while now. I loved all the oven-baked dishes, particularly the butter beans. The lamb shank special we ordered was perfectly cooked, very flavorful and not at all greasy. Wonderful selection of wines by the glass and also a bottle of California verdejo was unique and delicious!
Server who brought our food was rude
Best burger in town and overall all the food we ate was delicious
The bone-in ribeye was amazing. Drinks, food and service were great.
a friend in town
This was my first time here, as a friend said that the pork chops were great...so I was a bit apprehensive, but the place totally delivered. We had the broccoli and avocado appetizers...yummmm, but the big winner was the pork chop, done to perfection...just moist enough and soooooo tasty.
Terribly hyped restaurant. Food was very bland and below average. Would never recommend anyone to go there.
A good restaurant with an interesting choice of food plates but TOO Noisy.
My family came to visit from out of town to celebrate my brother’s birthday! We were so excited to try this place since it got great reviews and is always being booked out. The ambience is great with large windows, packed restaurant, and people at the bars sipping on drinks. Our waiter was personable and friendly, gave great recommendations on food and wine. Most of us got the famous pork chops— which weren’t bad but for the price and hype, we expected more. The early girl tomato salad was delicious but also a little pricey. The cherry on the cake (pun intended) was when they charged us $15 for a cake that we brought in (called in the previous day to see if this was okay). I understand the concept of the “cakeage fee” but honestly there was nothing special about the presentation of the sliced cake, no fanfare or anything. I wish there was more transparency about the pricing because we would’ve just eaten the cake at home instead of being charged $15 (or essentially half the price of the cake). Coming from a state where restaurants frequently gift the birthday person a dessert, this was a disappointment and we won’t be back.
WE enjoyed the food and the decor although it could be a bit noisy.
Solid, tasty food. It was clear that some algorithms were employed, however: red-pepper coulis was present on a number of dishes, as well some form of panzanella. Drinks were well-crafted, and the service was quite good.
Fifth time there, second time for brunch. Their Custard French Toadt is to die for
Brunch place only. Food was good, but not exceptional, it is a bit overrated. Had the French toast (didn't like it much), salmon was good, burger good. IPA exceptional
Overall good. Our preferred was the egg in a hole. Very tasty compared to the pork shoulder and the applewood sausage.
So good, we had the corn chowder with salmon and bolognaise and avocado on toast and it was all totally delicious. Best meal of our 7 weeks trip, with 47 nights eating out and across 4 countries!!
Loved nopa! Will come back! Super friendly servers and awesome food!
Great brunch spot. Has a very trendy vibe. The food was fantastic, very fresh and aesthetically pleasing but more importantly, tasted GREAT!
Overall Nopa is a great place to have a nice dinner. For this specific occasion I had a reservation made for 9:30pm and did not get sat until 9:50pm. Once sat it took ~20 mins for a server to come and take our order. After that we didn't get our food for another hour. The wait was incredibly long for food which took down from the whole experience.
Outstanding Brunch with great service and excellent selection and quality of food. Can really recommend this restaurant.
Best brunch in SF! We love bringing out-of-town guests here because the menu is always fresh, innovative, and high quality!
The best. Never fails to disappoint. My fav restaurant in sf
We finally lucked out and were able to get a reservation at Nopa. It lived up to the hype. The food and service is outstanding once you can get in. The space is large and can be on the noisy side but it was an overall wonderful dinner.
Burgers and fries at Nopa are practically a tradition now. Always dependable, consistent in quality and well, just plain fun. Eating well is how they roll. The avocado toast is really good!
Delicious food and very nice server; however, very loud and crowded, and something we didn’t order was on our bill.
The food was awesome, but our waiter was not friendly and did not look like he enjoyed being there. Also, he let our water glasses go and stay empty. We had to ask to get refills
We LOVE Nopa. To us it’s the San Francisco version of a lively Parisian neighborhood bistro. You know you are in the city and that is part of the fun. We have never had a less than stellar experience here. The food and service as always were great this brunch visit. The standouts were the bacon, cured right here at the restaurant, our creative egg dishes and we f course the peach cinnamon roll and French toast. Our server Ben was amazing. Kind, knowledgeable, efficient and Lo the hostess was awesome. As was every person who came to our table and th always incredible bar staff. Until next time!
Loved being able to stop in after Outside Lands! It was the perfect energy
The food was excellent but the service was lacking. Our server was nice but there were times she would ask us questions then walk away before waiting for an answer. Why bother to ask? I know that they were bumping until 1am, but that seemed a bit rude. I would definitely recommend the leg of lamb but it looks like their menu changes. I wasn’t disappointed with anything that we ordered. :)
This place is always crowded for a reason. It's just good. NOPA is anchored by an excellent bar and great service. The food, is extremely well executed. Though this could be because the menu hasn't changed much in years and they really know what they are doing with what they make. Sadly, like everything in SF, prices have inched up over the years. The pork chop remains worth it, but while the flat bread is really good and burger may be among the best in the city, they are not the "hidden value" of the restaurant they once were. Still, as a whole experience, NOPA easily beats most restaurants in and above its "class". Recommended!
The food was good but Nope is no longer a bargain.
