Our overall experience was tailored to our requirements and well exceeded our expectations. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and Faith, our waitress, was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant and have Faith as your waitress.
Great food and ambiance for a date night l. Everything was great!
This place is a for sure keeper. Some of the best Italian dishes I've ever had. Our server recommended that we talk with the wine steward to make our selection for a wine to pare with our meals. It turned out perfect. Started with the Tomini (Baked Goat cheese), shared a Mixed Greens salad, my wife ordered the Papardelle al Cinghiale with the Wild Boar and I had the Maltagliati with Ndujia Spicy Sausage. All the dishes were very well prepared and specialty pastas were perfect. We selected out side seating which was perfect, a little background music and were able to hold a conversation with out having to shalt. Service was very good and timing of servings was right on. Will definitely return soon...
Outstanding food…truly special
It is the whole package
One of our absolute favorite restaurants in San Antonio. Great for date night and great for family and friends to get together.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. I’ve moved away and when I come back in town I have to go here. Nonna Osteria is probably the best Italian restaurant in San Antonio! Everything is fresh and the flavors are incredible. This is a must try if you’re ever in town or live here and want great food. The staff is also amazing.
Food is very nice, Great Service as well.
We were there early (5pm), so it was very quiet, but the patio was lovely. Service was good, food was very good as well. Wine list had some nice options!
Great food! Service was excellent.
Very noisy in the dining room and in the open kitchen was hard to compete with
Every part of Nonna was fantastic! The service was nothing short of excellent. Every dish we ordered was delicious and I’d order them all again. I wish I lived in San Antonio to eat there more often bull I’ll just make a special trip from Austin anytime I’m in the mood for Italian.
Enjoyed dinner, Gnocci were more like dumpling however. Lindsey was great server helping pick wine but selection is limited and wine cellar has many more selections so next time want to see full wine list.
Food, service and wine selection make this one of my new goto's in SAT.
Great views and wonderful service!!! Amazing dishes a must try!!!!
Beautiful dining room. We enjoyed the drinks and appetizers most. Main course was ok. Would give the food 3.5 stars if we could. Still had a nice time.
Great ambience in nice location and wonderful pasta and Italian cuisine.
Off the beaten track, excellent food, wine selection, and service.
Always a great meal. The tapenad was extremely salty but tasty. Felt a little rushed with level of service. The pasta was fresh and fabulous!
Beautiful atmosphere, spot on service and incredible food! Still great having visited three times before.
I took a group of coworkers and everyone loved the food and the whole experience. I am a repeat customer of Nonna and it never fails to impress with great authentic Italian food!
Food was average at best .. I was reall looking forward to it but really average . Not worth hype .
We are San Antonio residents, have been to Nonna Osteria several times and always enjoy ourselves. The food is exceptional, service perfect and free valet parking is greatly appreciated. We find the small, interesting and well thought out menu refreshing. Sitting at the window is great fun people watching.
Delicious food, great pacing of courses, and superb service!
Delicious birthday dinner. The food and service were excellent.Highly recommend it
Wonderful staff and food!!!
Outstanding service from valet, hostess, wait staff, bar tenders, and manager. Food was absolutely brilliant. Lobster ravioli, octopus, wild boar, and appetizers were all delicious. Also enjoyed the relaxed pace the courses were delivered. Totally enjoyed; looking forward to a repeat experience!
Good service, delicious food
I’m a native Italian so I’m very critical when I eat Italian food in the US. I must say that this restaurant is by far the most authentic thing you can find in San Antonio. It’s a must try!
Beautiful ambiance! Super cute date night!
Excellent food and warm, attentive service.
Great food! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing meal!!
We would come here everyone couple months and it was great! Last night dinner was terrible, both us felt so sick after…the pasta was chewing and cold with hot souce poured over it! Gross!
Service was great, large wine selection which was appreciated but the food was a bit underwhelming for the price. Not saying it was bad but Italian places are a dime a dozen so they should do something to set themselves apart. Nonna doesn’t do that - just a very average restaurant with typical but overpriced Italian fare.
The food is great and the place is very nice! I love to go.
Make sure you read the menu before you go! I was in the mood for classic Italian food, there were no marinara dishes, no lasagna, no spaghetti with meat sauce. There is rabbit and wild boar, they said the food was from Piedmont area of Italy, far NW area of Italy. I’ve been to Florence, Rome, Assisi, and Tuscany and while I didn’t sample all the cuisine, I could always find spaghetti! The dish I settled for had sheets of house made pasta, which was ok, the sauce was a watery tomato based sauce with small bits of Italian sausage and spinach. I had a hard time getting the pasta wet. I left with the pasta expanding my stomach but very little protein. It was our anniversary meal and it was disappointing!
Cathy is my girl there, love this place, best Italian food in San Antonio at this time. Also kudos to the bar tender I didn't get to meet ,cocktail are prepared very well
We have eaten here a number of times over the years but have never tried the pizza. While I’m sure they know how to make pizza ours probably should have stayed in the pizza oven an additional 30-45 seconds. It was simply undercooked. Good flavor and interesting sausage. Yes, Neapolitan pizzas are typically more moist than typical American pizza but this was not typical.
Mary was a great sever. Very helpful w explaining wine options and entree choices. And the good was delicious. Especially loved the wild boar pasta dish and the burrata appetizer
Loved the view of the kitchen
I only wish it had been a little cooler in the restaurant. The lobby was especially cool and refreshing. Guess because of all of the cooking going on
Can’t wait to return here and to see Jackie and Alexis - who need misters, at the Roosevelt roof top bar
Kasey was an amazing server. Very cheerful and smiling any time she stopped by our table. The Arancini ai Gamberi was absolutely delicious. Our main entrees of the Ravioli and gnocchi were very filling. Ending with tiramisu and coffee capped off a wonderful evening.
The meal was exceptional, shared the Burrata with grilled vegetables as an appetizer, octopus and lobster ravioli entrees and chocolate "thing" for dessert. The only disappointment were the expresso, cold due to the glass coffee cups used. Really should invest in appropriate cups if offer expresso.
