The food was delicious and our server Faith was fantastic! She made great food recommendations and was a big reason why we had such a great night.
Absolutely loved this place. Already planning my next trip. The menu has so many options. Cocktails are amazing!!! Love the vibe and small feel. Great service.
Food was excellent as was the service. The outdoor space is small but very very nice and well spaced due to COVID...felt very safe.
This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of San Antonio. We were here for a medical conference, and boy am I happy I chose this restaurant. Our server was Faith, who was amazing! I had the sea bass, and by boss had the crab ravioli. I haven't had this good a meal in a long time. Rivals anything in San Francisco, New York and Italy. It's even worth the drive from Austin to come for dinner!!!! Must try!!!!
The service was lacking and often had to wait for water and our courses.
The steak was burned on the outside but rare on the inside. Perhaps that's how it was intended but I got the sense that they realized the meat was undercooked and they placed the entire plate back in the burner as the rest of the vegetables on the plate were burned as well.
A little loud for our taste - but incredibly attentive service from our server. Tables could be spaced out about more under current COVID situation but otherwise, we felt safe. Great tasting food - but the dessert options seem a little less adventurous.
Fantastic food!! Our server Jason was very knowledgeable about the menu. Recommendations were spot on! Highly recommend
Great ambience, however food was cold. It was our first time and we had higher expectations.
Excellent food in a contemporary atmosphere. Attentive but not overbearing srrvice.
Great food and vibe!
Fabulous food, service, and ambiance as always! Love this place.
Made a reservation and got seated about 30-40 minutes later. The specialty drink menu was short but good selection of wines. The boar was delicious but the pastas were okay, wouldn’t come back for that and not worth the price. We were very disappointed with the risotto, all we could taste is overpowering garlic ( and we like garlic) and both of us did not want to eat it. I have had better Italian food and would not spend the money to dine there again unfortunately.
Wonderful food, excellent service. Will be going back soon.
Amazing service, delicious food, & extraordinary Wine selection!
Food was attractively plated and delicious. Mary, our server was friendly, knowledgeable about the food and an excellent server. She was there when we needed her, but did not hoover.
Our dinner at Nonna Osteria was absolutely fabulous. I was a little disappointed that we had to sit outside, but as the evening went on it began to cool off to a more comfortable climate.
I liken this experience, being outside and the outstanding food to a trattoria in Italy. The food was fabulous, and not the same old Italian dishes. My date and I had the most fabulous evening.
Loved our food. Server was inattentive. Had to ask for bread, had to ask for more water × 2! I put we were celebrating a birthday on the reservation, no one said anything!
Loved the night! Excellent service!
This was our first time eating in a restaurant since the start of the pandemic. Everything was spot on! We felt very comfortable with the distancing and cleanliness.
The food and service were impeccable as always. We had brunch and they easily accommodated dietary needs. We were so happy to go back to our favorite restaurant.
Absolutely fantastic! We loved everything we had, especially the lobster eggs for brunch! Will definitely be back for their dinner menu!
We had a great time. The drinks were wonderful and the food was excellent. The service was fantastic. My only feedback was that we arrived early and were invited to go to the rooftop for drinks. We waited for the elevator and arrived upstairs only to be told that because we didn’t have a reservation upstairs that we could not order drinks. We then had to wait in line to take the elevator down and wait and the entry bar for a drink. This could’ve been avoided through proper communication between bar and reception and then to us so that we weren’t wasting our time. Otherwise, the evening was splendid
Nonna chef Luca Della Casa creates incredible meals that will not disappoint!! Wine list needs some additional Economical options, we enjoyed a Sangiovese blend from Basilica Italy. Definitely Nonna Osteria is highly recommended in SA; this coming from an Italian born & raised in Brooklyn, NY.
The food was outstanding and the service exceptional, as always.
Nonna was great as always. I dont want to advise that we arrived early to have a cocktail at the rooftop bar at the Hotel, it has recently been converted to a Oyster Bar, the servers were very rude, service was very slow and i wanted to advise you so you could notify the hotel staff.
Soup was great and the salad was delicious!
The food was excellent and our waiter was outstanding. It was a good evening out for the first time since COVID.
Excellent preparation and service. The menu is kind of one dimensional so you pretty much got to want pasta but they do prepare it as well as anyone.
While it's evident that Nonna Osteria caters to their locals and families ... as out-of-towners, we are always treated as family. The food is both exquisitely delicious and beautiful to the eye. Many servers are long-timers with the restaurant, and it shows. We've celebrated both our 33rd and 35th wedding anniversaries with the Nonna folks and have enjoyed everything about our dining experience. Nonna Osteria is one of our 5 most favorite restaurants in the U.S. We're taking our son and fiancee there soon! Thanks for spoiling us so wonderfully.
Sommelier was amazing! Great recommendation! Server was struggling with speaking with the mask, bc there is a lot to say and just all.that hot air- felt bad for her. She kept losing her train of thought but I applaud her effort and how she remained professional and safe! Lobster ravioli was disappointing but the Tomini al Verde & Granchio & Tartufo were amazing. Goat cheese with Parey sauce was creamy and tasty- different and amazing. The pasta was phenomenal along with presentation in the big cheese bowl. Had high expectations on the pasta but did not disappoint. Rooftop deck was also really nice to visit afterward. Pricing was on the high side, and would have no problem with it if Ravioli was good.
Four of us had a great dinner at Nonno. Everything, I repeat, everything was super. We really enjoyed ourselves. Had a nightcap up at the roof top bar with views of San Antonio skyline. Recommend the restaurant.
The ambiance was lovely. Perfect for a date night. We ordered the Burrata appetizer, which was the best thing we had! Foccacia, all the grilled veggies with a home-made pesto sauce. The entrees were way too salty, unfortunately. We had the steak and the bolognese pasta.
Would go back but mostly for drinks and apps!
Our experience at Nonna from a food and service aspect was great. Our sever was excellent and the food was very good. The reason I did not rate the experience higher is due to the wine selection and pricing. Wine selection is limited and very expensive. Our server recommended an Italian wine that was $67 bottle - compared to the rest of the list, very moderately priced. We like it so I searched online and fond out it retails for $19 a bottle - ok wow, I know wines pricing in a restaurant is about double retail, but really tripling it and charging $67 for a $19 bottle (and you probably get it cheaper) is a bit ridiculous. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and enjoy your food, but I I'll be drinking water and not wine!
Great birthday for my wife! Second year in a row.
Great food, service and view from the rooftop too! Highly recommend
This was our second time here, and we've been thoroughly satisfied each time. This time around, they were running a promo, so our second entree was discounted. We got the signature truffle pasta dish (Granchio & Tartufo) and the pan-seared ribeye (Costata al Basilico). Previously, we had gotten the Papardelle al Cinghiale. All of these dishes were full of unique flavor combinations that we enjoyed. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the wait staff are helpful and courteous. We ended each meal with coffee and tiramisu (probably the best in the city).
Great good, great service! We love it!
Food was excellent. Wine was excellent. Christa (hope I spelled right) was excellent. Excellent.
Authentic Italian using the freshest ingredients. Always a great time at Osteria.
Lobster ravioli was amazing as well as the burrata antipasti.
The pasta was too salty
