The restaurant is painted blue now which makes it feel smaller than it looks in pictures. The live music was great and cocktails were great. I wouldn’t go with more than one other person as it was crowded as a group of four
Loved this casual spot with great cocktails and live music!
No parking. Circled the entire area, couldn’t find a place to park. Never stepped foot inside.
Myself , my husband and 2 of my long time friends got together for some good conversation , food and drinks. We’re all artsy people in some way so the ambiance was well accepted❤️
This place is extremely overpriced and the staff were ALLL RUDE! I will never ever recommend or go to this place again
We bought experience tix for burlesque show which was cancelled Then did not know if $$ would be returned. Unprofessional and not relaxing.
Brought a friend from out of town here for his birthday & was disappointed... The girls are absolutely beautiful and fun but the over all experience is awkward and fell short of what I was expecting having been to several burlesque shows in New Orleans. The girls dance for one song, which is played at a sub par volume on a speaker by the bar.. then they both awkwardly leave and the lights come up for 20 minutes until they come out again... there's no flow no real show here. Definitely not worth $20 per person just to reserve a seat to their half planned show :/ .. also Bella blue was not here despite using her name in the ad
I reserved a table for my friend birthday!! We absolutely loved everything😁😁 from the entertainment, atmosphere & drinks
Great hospitality and wonderful drinks!
Lovely atmosphere. Love the patio. Servicing the little overwhelmed because they only had two or three of them waiting several tables. But had a lovely time
Gem of a restaurant stuck away in an unassuming facade. Second time going and loved it each time. Looking forward to the third time
Loved the Down South and the Prawns. Really nice vibe, courtyard seating, and good service!
Tasty drinks and a very chic atmosphere. Music was live and energetic. Will definitely return to NOLA Art Bar with friends.
This was my first time experiencing the amazing kinfolk brass band! They were full of style, energy and soul. I cannot wait to see them again.
Amazing venue, amazing band, staff was so helpful and wonderful as I booked outside for the jazz band and they were able to make it work for us to move inside. Can't wait to go back.
Great small bites, atmosphere, service and live music.
It's nice for a relaxing or quiet date night vibe and the service is spectacular. However, there aren't many food options so visitors should just keep in mind that they'll be eating lightly. The guacamole and chicken/shrimp tacos were delicious. I can't wait to go back and see more of the art, and stay longer.
Wonderful atmosphere, good, service and cocktails. 2 bartenders (I don’t remember their names), and the 2 servers (one seemed to be trailing) were great. A bit hard to spot on busy St. Claude, but this adds to ambiance once inside.
Came for the burlesque speakeasy and had so much fun! Great drinks and fun atmosphere.
Make sure to see a burlesque show! :) tons of fun. Lovely art and STRONG drinks.
Love the burlesque show. Highly recommend. Trust me and bring some pocket money.
Took a weekend trip to NOLA, was looking for something low key to get into in a Thursday night. Decided to check this spot out. This is a cute little lounge. Really liked the decor and the artwork. There was a DJ playing that night, so it was a little loud but the music was good so it wasn’t a nuisance. Drinks were delightful, a little pricier than expected for NOLA, but nothing I’m not used to coming from DC. They were not watered down though, so it was well worth the cost. Bartenders were super kind, as everyone is in NOLA, and very attentive. It was just an all around vibe. I’d definitely add this to the list of spots to grab a drink w friends. There’s also some outdoor seating behind the bar as well. Overall, this was cute.
Taco Tuesday- great margaritas
The owner and staff are very friendly. I went there with a couple of ladies in our book club, Blue Beauties, that we participate in every few weeks. The ambience was lovely and lively. The artwork on the walls make a statement which truly reflects the culture of New Orleans and what its residents love about connecting to other cultures and countries, such as Africa. You ring the doorbell for the host to let you in which really makes you feel exclusive from the moment you arrive. The food was delicious, especially the shrimp tacos. The drinks are the best in the city. I had three drinks with the charcuterie board. We stayed for almost three hours talking with the staff about various topics and city business. I love NOLA Art Bar and its concept to cater to all kinds of people. Whether you want to have a late night dance and drink, intellectual discussions, or a sociable evening with great food and friends, you feel like you belong there. It's truly authentic in every way. I will definitely frequent this venue more and visit BALDWIN. What a name for a book store. Love NOLA and its people forever!
I absolutely loved this experience. I actually came for the DJ Antwigadee. I loved how private and secluded it was definitely will be back again
The restaurant ran out of plates so we had to wait a significant amount of time before getting our order. I’ve never experienced anything like it before.
The servers were polite but that couldn't make up for everything else. Ordered drinks which weren't great (soda water doesn't belong in an Old Fashioned). The charcuterie board was nothing special and had no fresh items. I've never seen dried apricots or chocolate covered almonds on such a board. We never received plates or silverware and the only napkins we received were beverage napkins. If this place wants to call itself "classy" they've got work to do. We left and ate dinner elsewhere. We won't be back.
Thursday night with DJ Antwigadee is a vibe. Great drinks and fun.
Amazing place ambiance food and drinks excellent
Service by wait staff was extraordinary. Service and all interactions with the bouncer, Charles, was disturbingly horrible. I booked the table online for 6:45pm Friday 4/30. I thought I was reserving a spot for the burlesque show but I failed to see the payment option upon booking. We arrived 9 minutes late for our reservation because our Uber driver drove circles around our destination for a while before we just terminated the ride. Not until we were done with dinner and it was well after 8pm was I informed by the bouncer (who was consistently extremely rude with each encounter) that there was no show; rather, the first show was cancelled for "not enough tickets sold", and the next show was "sold out"
The bar recently painted from a white to a dark navy blue. It was disappointing because there was no indication of such a change which put a damper on the overall experience. Definitely would recommend photo update. It could rebrand as a speakeasy. Service was great, just scenic wise very disappointing.
You MUST come here. The bartenders and entire staff are incredible! They went out of their way to take care of us for our trip in NOLA! We got here with 2 dead phones and the bartender not only plugged in our phones but let us use hers to look at the menu. The owner is super cool and you can tell this is a passion project. Came here 1 day and 1 night of our 4 day trip! Worth it! I wish the food was served late night bc the chicken tacos and mussels were dream worthy! Walked here from JAMNOLA... please support this business!
Love this place! Beautiful atmosphere and good service.
Very nice environment with great service! Our server and food were amazing. The burlesque show was amazing and the women were absolutely gorgeous and entertaining! I will def recommend this place!
This place was a great vibe! Best tacos in the city! Bartenders were very attentive and the drinks were delicious. Will def be back! Also love the reservation only vibes
Happy hour was great! The Sazeracs were perfect and we had one (ok, two of some) of each of the tacos! The veggie tacos were our favorite. Guac and chips also good. Prices were very reasonable.
Great place for a large and small gathering! Excellent service and great atmosphere. I recommend, reserving a spot indoors and outside., because you will not leave after eating. Good vibes, good food and great music.
Lots of potential, but not there yet. Servers we very welcoming and polite, but service was incredibly slow. Drinks were not well made— everything was sooooo sugary and sweet. Guacamole and chips tasted amazing, but waited a very long time just for this one appetizer. Tacos were ok, nothing to rave about. Prawns were not too good. Hoping they improve with time and will give them a second try in a few weeks.
Went on a Tuesday for the 2 for 1 Drinks and tacos. We had the shrimp, fish, and mushroom(veggie) with chips and guacamole and an order of the “prawns”. First the service was very helpful and friendly which is always appreciated. The two ladies were honest with answers and timely with the things ordered. The shrimp and mushroom tacos were dressed well and tasted great while the fish was a bit too chewy to liking. Chips and guacamole were delicious. My only food issue is about the prawns which weren’t your usual larger shrimp, but reused popcorn-ish shrimp from the tacos. Not to mention the sauce they were soaked in was greasy and bland and the bread tasted stale. Seemed like the chef tried with what they had but it wasn’t great at all. And very overpriced for what we received. The two margaritas we had were alright too. I would’ve loved to tip the servers more but the ticket had an auto grat of 18% already included. Pay the servers more so they don’t have to rely on tips! Otherwise it was an ok outing.
Do not go here. The photos are entirely misleading. We had reservations tonight, the photos on the website looked really cool. There was a $25 minimum per person, 18% tip automatic, and only a 90 minute seating. Hey, that’s fine, though. We tip 25%+, especially during COVID.
We arrived, and it literally took 50 minutes to get our first round of drinks. NOT CROWDED GUYS. Only one table occupied inside. I had to ask our waitress twice, and the bouncer (who looked dumbfounded by my asking) once, to order our drinks. Because we were accosted when we approached the bar to order ourselves after waiting several minutes without service. It was bizarre. How do you meet a $25 per person minimum within 90 minutes if it takes 50 minutes to get a single drink? It was laughable and seemed scammy TBH.
Place looked nothing like the photos, service was awful, and drinks were syrupy and gross. Will never return.
