    The food was good but the service was about as bad as I’ve ever seen in an upscale restaurant. The waitress was very pushy and overbearing. She insisted on literally reading the menus to us. Drinks, food, and dessert. From start to finish. Trust me that I am not talking about telling us the specials. And I’m not embellishing either. Quote “Welcome to our restaurant. I’m going to read the menu to you…” and then she actually did.

    Lovely dinner with excellent service. The food was incredible. Our waitress was really wonderful and helped us with suggestions that were delicious. They also did a nice job of making my husband feel celebrated on his birthday.

    I remember much better experiences at Nobu Palo Alto. The food was still excellent but the service and ambiance deteriorated to a mediocre level. we waited outside with a group of more than 8 people (4 groups) to be seated despite being on time. there were available tables but inefficient hostess service got all stuck standing along the reception wall. Dining: we asked to share all the dishes which were served nicely, yet not sharing utensils (serving spoon or serving fork) were provided and we had to ask for them FOR EACH dish that was served. we brought our own wine bottle and paid $50 corkage fee, yet except for the first serving no server offered a refill. The restaurant had slight fishy odor which I did not sensed in previous dining. again - the food was excellent so I believe the restaurant service and ambiance can be improved.
