    Perhaps I had high expectations for a Michelin starred restaurant. Overall the food and drinks were very good, but not consistently exceptional. The hamachi sashimi and nigiri were delicious, as was the tuna tartare and tacos, but the tuna maki was average. The service was also mixed, with attentive bus boys but less attentive waitstaff. We had to wait for a long time after we were seated for the waiter to arrive and take our order. I asked for no jalapeno on the hamachi sashimi and the waiter even confirmed my choice, but the dish arrived with jalapeno! Luckily I could easily remove the jalapeno and that didn't detract from the flavor or quality of the hamachi.

    I ordered the bento box. The fried okra was awful: not fresh, chewy, burnt. For $40+++?! I will not be a returning diner.

    Our waiter was fantastic. Have been going to different NOBU locations & it has since gone down hill since my first visit in NY many years ago. The Miso cod is too salty, the crispy rice spicy tuna was mushy, & the rib eye steak was too tough. For the amount of money spent, the food quality is not worth the spend. Also, the waiter he forgot to return my credit card in the billfold since I gave it to him at the beginning of dinner & yes, I should have remembered to ask for it back when I signed the receipt, it was so cumbersome to get it back. The issue wasn't that he forgot, it was when I tried calling the restaurant but it rang & rang then dropped the call. When I returned, 2 front desk proceeded to tell me that I needed to go to the 2nd floor to get my credit card instead offering me to retrieve it. They were not busy so I feel that alone, the customer service was poor. Overall, I will not return especially at this location & most likely has tainted my experience of NOBU.
