Nobu’s never disappoints ! Every item was delectable and exquisite and the service was impeccable. They also took very good measures for Covid including checking your temperature and taking down everyone’s contact details.

Nobu wasn’t serving crispy spicy tuna and it’s literally the only reason I was there! Craving it for months! I’ll be back for it another time. :-)
My sister and niece visited from another state and this was a treat for all of us. We felt completely safe with all the COVID safeguards. The food from wine to desert was fantastic. This will be our "go to" restaurant whenever they visit.

Our absolute favorite restaurant experience yet!
This was my first time to a Nobu, the food was amazing! The waiter we had was interesting. He recommended that he would order for us—made some great choices but because he was trying to pace the dinner out we ended up waiting between 30min to 45 min between courses. It dragged on to be a 3.5 hour long dinner. Our reservations were at 5:15 and we got seated immediately but did not end up leaving the restaurant until after 830. I think he forgot to put in the different courses after our starters and then they got slammed. With the price point—you are paying for excellent food—which Nobu delivered but the service was disappointing. After acknowledging it was taking a serious amount of time For is to get our food—he didn’t see ver apologetic or understanding. If you want a standard 2hour dinner—order all your food upfront, do not have your waiter pace it out!

While the food was as good as always, I was surprised to be sitting on the street corner next to the stop light. It was incredibly noising with the traffic 10 feet away and headlights shinning in our faces. While I understand the need to be outside, this is one table that should not be in the rotation...
It’s usually all 5 star but this time it was disappointing
Outdoor dining due to COVID was done exceptionally well by Nobu. Service in particular was flawless. We got a mix of about 6 popular small plates and cocktails. All perfect.

The quality of the fish was sub-par, the shrimp was not fresh and the cod tasted like ammonia. The drinks were also not as good as they used to be, and we didn't like the table they sat us at outside, it was very far from the rest of the restaurant and right next to the street. Overall it was not good value for money at all, and I would recommend not coming here until they are open at full capacity indoor dining again so that the quality of food and service comes back to normal. Until then, it's definitely not worth it.
This was our first meal out since the lifting of some shelter in place restrictions and it was fantastic. Nobu did an amazing job making us feel comfortable and safe that dining out almost felt as normal as before the pandemic. Not to mention, they served a delicious dinner as always. When you enter, they do a temperature check, then seat you at a properly socially distant table, serve you from afar, provide online menus, sanitize the tables with one-time-use wipes, and so much more. Can’t wait to return!
My family and I had a wonderful time! We celebrated my son’s 19th birthday! Everything was perfect!
Every single dish was outstanding, as it always is with Nobu. The entire staff is warm and welcoming, and can answer any questions about the menu. Top favorites this time were the miso cod, and the special Alaskan king crab leg with a creamy jalapeno sauce, but we ordered a lot (as usual) and we loved it all. Who would expect such an amazing white chocolate panna cotta at a Japanese restaurant? We also loved the Bento box and the banana dessert. We will most definitely be back!
They’re doing construction. Super dark with nice but forgetful service. Forgot drinks for 30 mins, cold soup. Not good.
We enjoyed the Omakase menu. It was an incredible array of beautifully prepared dishes.
Nice staff. Good food and great service
We had a 6pm reservation for 4 on a weeknight. First got there to find valet parking was $25 - said no, and both cars luckily got a spot right around the corner. Were seated inside - though the "restaurant" is clearly only the bar once construction is done - only about 10 tables, with half the room a bar (with no bar tender). Made it quite noisy. We ordered drinks - took 3 requests to waitress and about 20 minutes to get them, after finding they did not have the signature drink (first one on bar menu, highlighted in a box) I ordered. Oh well - the sidecar and sake were quite good. With all those negative, the food was quite excellent - 3 of us had the omikase, one just black cod with rice (originally they said omikase was all or none, but let us do it this way). The bigeye tuna sashimi with a dollop of osetra caviar, "salad plate" of sushi, salmon sushi and oyster sashimi, one-bite "churro" for dessert were all excellent. The prime beef was a very generous portion (six large slices), though not the tender wagyu I would have expected. The meal was very satisfying and well balanced, though pretty expensive (about $200 per person) - and the service and atmosphere really need to be improved for a restaurant of this class.

Amazing food and impressive service. They were running behind due to construction going on (only half the restaurant is open at the moment) so we had to wait around 25 mins after our reservation time. There’s not really a waiting area so we ended up standing around with other parties during this time. Drinks were amazing and we tried a lot of different things.
One word. Overrated.
Definitely not worth the 40 minutes drive each way.
I attempted to make reservations 30 days in advance per the website for Valentines. On 1/15, I was not able to make reservations on OpenTable, I had to call in to do so.
When I did, I was told by the hostess that since it was was Valentine Weekend, she would need to speak with the manager and get back to me. Two days past and no call. Luckily open table had a cancellation for 2/15, I booked it. However, it was high top dining (bar). I called in again to request table dining, so they put me on a wait list.
I get a call about two weeks later saying that they can move us to table dining, but it would be 8pm. Fine.
Upon arrival, there were plenty of straying, table, bar, outdoor, anywhere! We were still seated at the bar when we were promised table seating inside.
Food was very mediocre at best, I'm not sure how this place is rated so highly.
After our meal, we asked the hostess if she could take a picture of us outside, she said yes, then disappeared. After waiting a few minutes in the front, we took a selfie and left. (Thanks a lot!)
Plenty of other places I'd recommend.
In the end, we went to Shake Shack instead.

There just isn’t another to compare in the South Bay. The food. The drinks, the whole experience is one to write home about. Definitely a must - very rarely do you find fish that is better than beef but wow. Toro and yellowtail Nelly special that will change your life. And the Chilean sea bass is almost better than the ribeye in truffle butter.
And no date night is complete without a Date Cake!
Depends - dining area is very different from lounge. Lounge is very loud (music and people) so if you’re not in the mood for that then maybe not for you, but food was excellent.
John was our server and he was amazing
The food was outstanding! We sat outside and the heaters were great. My only comment was that it was so dark outside, you couldn't read the menu. There were tiny little tea lights on the tables, which was the only light source, and we literally had to get out our phones and turn on the flashlight to read the menu. For such an upscale restaurant, no one should have to strain to see the menu. We also experienced a very long wait between a couple of the courses, which was not too big a deal because our company at the table was great, but nevertheless, given the caliber of the restaurant, flow should not be an issue. Very pleasant wait staff. Friendly, informative and helpful. Overall good experience, and look forward to another dinner there, but unless they change the lighting outside, I would not opt for outdoor seating again.
Don't let other reviews fool you. If you want a classy upscale meal you will not be disappointed. Never listen to the naysayers about being overprice, they were not going to enjoy it anyway. Go full experience and let your server decide your meal. Top 3 meals of my life.
Another great Nobu experience. The menu is similar to Nobu in New York, London, and Cape Town but with several nice variations. Service is top shelf and the atmosphere reflects the the quality that is offered.
