Marking the continued expansion of The Del’s culinary experiences, Nobu Del Coronado will be the newest addition to the world-renowned Japanese restaurant empire founded by Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro.

Nobu Del Coronado will offer over 3,700 square feet of stunning indoor and al fresco oceanfront dining space, including an outdoor covered patio dining with a pagoda bar and dedicated sushi bar. Nobu Del Coronado will also spotlight Nobu-signature dishes including the iconic Black Miso Cod and Yellowtail Jalapeño, as well as Nobu’s world-renowned sushi, plus locally inspired dishes and cocktails.

    The service was poor — staff seemed to be in training and everything took far too long. It took over 2 hours for two people to have a meal. While the food was good, the wait times were unacceptable. Prices were extremely high, even for Nobu standards — significantly more expensive than other locations. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.

    We come to Hotel Del every year to celebrate when we were married here 15 years ago. This was the first year Nobu was open for us to try. The staff was very nice and attentive. The sushi was fresh (including the uni) and the standard appetizers like edamame and rice were delicious as expected. The black cod was the best warm dish we ordered and it was a tad on the sweet side which our 13-year old son loved (so much so, he ordered a second black cod!). It was honestly too sweet for me. I ordered the sea bass and it was delicious except for the miso crust which was too salty and made it difficult to enjoy the sea bass. We will be back again next year as we navigate and continue to discover our favorite hot dishes. It was a nice change from Serea, which we dined at the night before. Highly recommend both.

    Our server was amazing, she came and checked on us every 10 minutes and explained every menu item with great detail! Everything was delicious and the fish melted in our mouths 10 out of 10 !

    We had high expectations going into dinner. Cold dishes came out quickly, however the hot dishes took 45 minutes after that and then another 30 for the second hot dish as they did not come out together. Miso black cod was good on the outside but very fishy on the inside. Tenderloin was over done. Service could have been better. Unfortunately we will not be going back.
