    I don’t usually write reviews but i wanted to make sure i wrote this …. I truly loved my birthday experience here. They were super accommodating and kind. This was my first time here and we had a blast! The food and drinks were amazing! Our server was very informative about the menu and even suggested different foods and drinks. Thank you to the manager and staff for all of your hospitality. We enjoyed our birthday. Thank you

    Celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday at Nobu. The meal is served family styles as several small plates shared with the table. Food was top quality! Everything was delicious! Service was extremely attentive and we never felt rushed. Less than five stars was attributable to the cost. I understand, you pay for quality. At this price point though it’s a restaurant that we’d only visit on the most special of occasions and I’d doubt we’d bring more than our family of four to dine.

    Chilean sea bass was amazing. Even better than the black cod miso. Service was excellent and overall a great visit. Definitely will be going back.

    I think the Omakase menu it is a little bit expensive for the courses you receive.

    Food was an 8/10. Some dishes spectacular. Cocktails did not stand out relative to other comparable establishments. Service ver nice, quick and friendly, some communication challenges at start but still amazing.

    I recently moved next door to your Washington D.C. location and was very excited to visit for the first time. I made a reservation for Wednesday, July 9th at 6:30 p.m. and was truly looking forward to the experience. I want to begin by highlighting what went well. My server was outstanding—thoughtful, gracious, and attentive. I was truly impressed by his level of service. Additionally, an African American gentleman (who I believe may have been a manager) was equally welcoming and helpful. The food, as always, was exceptional and met every expectation I’ve come to associate with your brand. Unfortunately, I did have a disappointing experience with the hostess and the staff member assisting with takeout orders. When I arrived, I informed the hostess that I had a reservation for two. Due to a tornado warning in effect at the time, my guest—who lives nearby—I told them not to come. I still asked to be seated but the hostess insisted I wait to be seated. I noticed her demeanor shift noticeably depending on the guests she was interacting with. For example, shortly after I arrived, a party of three walked in and were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Meanwhile, I felt increasingly uncomfortable. The staff member handling takeout orders repeatedly glanced at me in a way that felt unwelcoming and intrusive. As someone who values a peaceful dining experience, this made me feel out of place and profiled. Coming from San Diego, I’ve learned that confrontation rarely solves these types of issues, so I politely approached the bar and then a manager and then I asked if I could be seated at a booth. He kindly obliged, and the rest of my evening was pleasant—until I left and was once again met with an uncomfortable stare from the takeout staff member, who even looked down at my shoes in a way that felt demeaning. First impressions matter, and while much of my experience was wonderful, the behavior of the hostess and the takeout staff was disturbing. Thanks for reading, Carl

    Went to celebrate our anniversary. Service was slow, food was subpar for the price, and the table we were seated at was really dim, hard to read the menu. We were given a complimentary dessert and had an item taken off our bill because it came out an hour after we ordered and was a bit soggy.

    Terrible experience. Food tasted like it was from a random sushi spot around the corner. The salmon was chewy. Low grade fish. Spent $500 for food that was subpar. Wagyu dumplings, sashimi, beef skewers, and vegetables did not taste that good. Only thing good was the yellowtail. 0/10 would not recommends 0 stars if i could.
