Zoe is the best!
Food was great!!!
Amazing food and our server gave us wonderful recommendations!
Everyone was amazing from start to finish!
Fantastic service, great omakase menu, would recommend!
We had a reservation and we were running about 10 minutes late. When we arrived, our table was ready but our server did not come for 30 minutes to check on us. We ended up having to order and check out at the front of the restaurant. It was not particularly busy that night but the service was slow.
The food was overpriced and the portions were very small. The staff was very friendly however.
Service a little slow.
Great sashimi and vibes.
The mango passion fruit cocktail was fantastic. The white fish and scallop shashimi were my fav.
One expects exceptional quisine while dining at Nobu. The food was very good but not great. My wife and I ordered yellowtail/jalapeno crudo, edamame, crispyrice with spicy tuna, rockshrimp tempura and of course miso black cod. A couple of cocktails and our bill with tip was around $230. Not complaining about the final bill but $4 for a small bowl of white rice (should come with miso cod IMHO) is egregious. We may return but lots of superb choices around town for your $$.
Loved the set menu experience and trying all of their creative plates and flavors! My husband enjoyed the birthday celebration at such a special place in DC.
Had an amazing birthday dinner
NOBU is the perfect spot for foodies and there’s no pretense. Good dining experience.
WAYGUUUU that was amazing I’ve never tried it but now I am obsessed.
Nobu was excellent as always -- can't get enough of the Waygu dumplings and rock shrimp.
Nice restaurant with fresh food and pleasant atmosphere, but overpriced for the service and food received.
Sharing our 8 year anniversary was spectacular especially under the professional service and taste of this place. We will return!
Awsome in every way!
Great food and excellent service!
The Chef was awesome, the service was awesome! A-OK
We celebrated our anniversary at NOBU DC. Everything tasted fresh and was presented well. Service was excellent and the small plates came with plenty of time to enjoy each one. We dined on the patio which was very intimate. However, the patio itself was dirty with leaves and dark stains below the seating. I think it’s an experience worth having to try the food, but I don’t feel a burning need to return.
Our server Zoe L. was impeccable. She was went far and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing less than the best. She curated a menu that was unbelievably superb. I will come back often and with more people. I have already recommended this restaurant to a lot of friends and business partners. Again, Zoe L. really made our experience a great one. Please thank her for us.
Zoey is the best server
Incredible. We have the prefixe for each person at $125 and it was worth it.
Always an outstanding experience. Food was phenomenal. Service was above and beyond. We were extremely happy with the precautions for safety. Will be back soon! Compliments to staff and as always, Chef.
I took my partner to Nobu for his birthday and was thankfully surprised by over the top service and quality of food. Will return there often.
All the sushi (rolls, nigiri, yellowtail and jalapeño) was off the charts perfect. Tuna tataki was a little bland in comparison and probably was served out of order, and a little too much water/tomato to delicately cut thin tuna. Watermelon and soft shell was amazing. Chicken served as part of the tasting menu, good but wish I had more yellowtail instead!
My husband and I needed to break our quarantine blues so to speak. We live in Virginia and a friend had posted a cocktail from Nobu a year ago. We decided to give it a shot and do their summer tasting menu. Let me just say it was by far the best food I’ve had in a restaurant thus far. I am a clown by nature and our server was not shy about clowning right along with me. We loved her! Come hungry, do the summer tasting menu, order an extra round of the passion fruit mochi and I promise you you’ll love it!
The best restaurant week experience! Their back patio is quiet and lovely. We enjoyed the most amazing meal and can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service and food!
Food held up to the expectation of a place of such prestige. I cannot say the same for the service. Our server lacked the attentiveness I would have expected from a restaurant of such high caliber. He seemed to only come around to our table when we were finished with our drinks so he could pad our bill. The overall experience was nice but due to the lack of effort from our server, I can safely say that my expectations of the Nobu name have been severely tainted. I will not be recommending Nobu DC to any of my friends or colleagues.
The staff was very attentive and the food drinks were good
It was great the food and wine came quick, our waiter was great too.
Overall great experience would love to go back there
Food is consistently spectacular and so is the service. The meals are incredibly expensive though. It’s tapas style and each person needs multiple plates. They are allll impressive though.
This was my first time at the Nobu in DC. I’d been to the one in midtown Manhattan before and the experience was just as wonderful. The yellowtail jalapeño is always amazing and I even think the rolls at the DC location were better than at the NYC location. Sat outside and they had bug repellent machines under the benches which was really nice because that seems to be a problem I’ve noticed when eating outside at other establishments. The staff was great and all the tables were socially distanced.
Gilbert should be immediately removed from his position as host of this restaurant. I have dined here dozens of times and always had a great experience but the other night was nearly ruined by his unprofessional, angry, abrupt disposition. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior. Ever.
Fist, safety. During this pandemic I will only visit restaurants that can provide a flow of fresh air. We sat on the covered, semi-enclosed patio. The tables were well spaced, staff respected personal space, took necessary safety precautions, and everyone complied with wearing masks. I felt comfortable and safe. I'm going with service next because it was exceptional. Our server, Aurora, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations! And she was amazingly poised and professional as I watched someone at the table next to ours behave quite rudely towards her. She handled the situation without missing a beat with her other tables. The food? Amazing! Flavorful, nothing over powering, nothing over or under cooked, everything done to perfection! We had 5 or 6 different items on the menu. The Bento Box for dessert had a chocolate cake that was so light and fluffy I am certain I loss weight by eating it! lol! Thank you for a wonderful night Nobu. I'll be back.
