Great meal, awesome drinks!! We got the tasting menu with wine pairing, it was great but not worth the price. If we did it again, we’d go a la carte.

An iconic local restaurant that still has its shine. Food is remarkably good and the service and ambiance match. I’m so thankful Barbara Lynch’s flagship labor of love is still with us. If you’ve never been, find a good reason and go for the sheer delight of such exquisite food.

Overall a very romantic dining experience. Food was great (although I had slightly higher expectations) and well presented. The service was amazing, everyone very friendly and attentive. Wine list was also amazing. This is more of a great experience-type place than haute cuisine, and worth every penny. Will definitely return next time I'm in town.

This is one of our favorite places, and we marked the holiday with a festive dinner here. The food was amazing as usual, but we also really appreciated the friendly and effective service, and great cocktails and wine. We will make this an annual tradition. We were transported to a happy place having dinner here.

The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful, the food was outstanding, and the sommelier provided not only great wine pairings but a little bit of background on every wine which brought the whole evening to life. We did not feel crowded or rushed despite the Covid situation. We had a wonderful evening.

I loved every single thing about holiday lunch at #9 … except that I wished they’d done some Christmas decorating. Felt to me like a holiday lunch should have a holiday mood. That aside, the food and the service were spectacular… as they always are in this Boston mainstay!

No 9 Park is one of my favorite places in Boston. Food , service and design are consistently great. The perfect place for a holiday lunch. And we had incredible service as well

I like all of Barbara Lynch’s restaurants, but No9 Park is the best IMO.

Dinner at Park No 9 last night was a little disappointing, largely because my bavette (flank steak), one of only three main dishes on the surprisingly limited a la carte menu, was tasteless. I always thought the trick to making flank steak is to tenderize a somewhat tough but flavorful cut of meat. The chef managed to reduce the flavor while preserving the toughness. Oh well. The other dishes were fine and the restaurant's signature dish, prune filled gnocchi, was better than fine. The service was good, though a little overzealous. The dining room is inviting and the location. off the park is one of the best in Boston. By all means, go to No. 9 Park. Just stay away from the bavette.

My friend and I arrived for our reservation and were promptly forgotten, despite sitting directly in front of the host’s desk. Hey, it’s Saturday night and sometimes things get lost in the shuffle. No harm, no foul. Once seated, we enjoyed two truly excellent cocktails and decided on the very promising-looking tasting menu with standard wine pairing.

To start with the highlights, the cauliflower veloute and venison dishes were outstanding. The creamy cauliflower soup with pine nuts was wonderfully warming start to a meal on a cold December night. The venison was perfectly cooked and served with a smooth parsnip purée that we couldn’t get enough of. The wine pairings for these two courses could best be described as… inoffensive. Which unfortunately was the high water mark for the wines of the evening.
The cauliflower was paired with a sparkling Austrian white that was on the sweeter side, but played well with the pine nut forward taste of the soup.
The venison was paired with a red that spent very little time on the palate, but was pleasant enough while there.

The halibut dish was fine. The fish was a little overcooked and the half of a Brussels sprout could have benefitted from being cooked a little longer, but these are within the margins of personal preference. The wine paired with this dish, however, was nigh undrinkable. The end of a bottle of languedoc white that was so badly oxidized, it made one wonder if it had ever been closed.

The mushroom risotto course tasted quite good, but there was a startling disparity in temperatures between my friend’s dish and mine. Hers was warm-to-hot, while mine was quite cool. The wine pairing was a piedmont red that also tasted as though it had been breathing longer than it should have.

The dessert was a baffling conglomeration of incongruous textures, covered in a soap-flakey fistful of sugar.

The view of the lights in the Common was nice, though.

We visited No 9 Park for their holiday lunch. While we’ve dined many times for dinner, we’ve never attended holiday lunch, only heard amazing things. After our visit, we agree the meal was superb! Every course was perfectly cooked and presented, the wine pairings were on point. Even with dessert, we tried to forego the dessert wine pairing and Samantha, who was with us all meal, brought us glasses of red AND glasses of the dessert wine, insisting it was part of the experience. Samantha & No. 9 Park nailed it- the wines paired perfectly with our two desserts. We can’t speak highly enough of the meal and whole experience- hats off to the Barbara Lynch Group for an incredible afternoon!

This was an absolutely flawless experience from beginning to end. The five-course tasting menu was so extraordinary (would highly recommend adding on the sixth, prune-stuffed gnocchi course) I was scraping the plate with my fork at the end of every meal. Service was warm and attentive.

What was once one of my favorite restaurants here in Boston feels as though it’s losing its sparkle. I was disappointed by the lack of service last night. I understand the restaurant industry has been struck hard due to Covid and that the servers and busters in a restaurant like this need to be trained meticulously. our server was incredibly cold and failed to check in on us at all throughout the night. She seemed pained to be there. Had there been no issues I wouldn’t care, but for this price point you’re better off visiting Ostra or Sorellina.

We flew in from NYC to have a birthday dinner here. We have been twice before and loved it. So, we were excited to enjoy it again.
While there, our server was lovely, the restaurant was open and fresh feeling. But, sadly, our meal was no where near the quality we’ve had there in the past.
In fact, the gnocchi was stodgy and very overcooked, the vegetables with our steak were over cooked and mushy. As were the potatoes that accompanied the Spanish octopus.
The octopus itself came out cold, was mushy, and oddly seasoned.
Was a very disappointing main course.
The highlight of our meal were the oysters…

We understand if service is slow/understaffed nowadays (which, in this case, wasn’t). But, the food quality and preparation was unacceptable at this level/price point.
We won’t return.

Our server was very knowledgeable and professional. The food was incredibly disappointing. We had been looking forward to eating here for several years based on strong recommendations and rich history. The food was bland, over salted and over cooked. There was nothing inspiring or special about the duck or octopus. Quite frankly, it was sad attempt to serve rather unadventurous dishes. The wine menu was the best part. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
