The Tasting menu with luxury wine pairing is a life changing experience. Be prepared to speak to those loan officer when the bill comes, but this is the first meal I’ve had costing this much that was utterly worth it!
Disappointed in not being able to get Sancerre. Limited fish options, oysters were terrific. Lack of crisp wines for oysters and no one seemed to know what to offer. Unusual for a group who considers themselves more than a little well versed on the almighty grape
We had an excellent view of the Boston Common by the window. It was probably the best seat in the house. All three seats had a view of the window. No one's back was against the view. Their cocktails are creatively crafted and so are the mocktails. The server was very knowledgeable on each of the menus: the tasting menu, the wine list, and the cocktail list. She was able to tell us the taste profile of the cocktails and the food ingredient on the food menu. Two of us had food restriction so we need the details. She was able to offer alternative to the dish so all of us can enjoy the same tasting dishes.
Smelled like dirty dishwater when we came in but got better as the night progressed.
Service while attentive was chaotic to the point when many servers would ask the same questions and bring different things.
It was excellent food but as expected very small portions.
As always a delightful relaxing dining experience. when the restaurant is not full the service is excellent but as the evening goes on our server clearly had more tables and had to ration his time with each table. everything we tasted was great as was the wine list. this visit confirms it remains one of the top restaurants in town
Good food. Great place.
I had an amazing time during my meal here...partly because I proposed to my now fiancée at this meal! The manager Aly was amazing in helping me to prepare for the event, and they were able to create a custom cake for me to help celebrate the event! Beyond the service, the food was amazing, and my fiancée says that this meal was the best meal she’s had in the 2+ years she’s lived in Boston!
Food and service can’t be beat in Boston. Some of the best food we’ve had outside of Paris.
Enjoy the food & hospitality. Valet available
We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. As always, it was a delightful experience, flawlessly done.
We arrived early and were seated late. No one even took our drinks order for 20+ minutes, and then took another 20 to bring the drinks. At that point, we had not been served our first of several courses in a Pre-Fixe menu and so my fiancée complained. The hostess then came over the explain their “system,” and how they don’t serve tables while someone was in the restroom. I pointed out that I had been away from the table for only 5 minutes. The Hostess didn’t apologize.
The service then improved moderately, but no one ever asked if I wanted another drink until I’d finished the last course.
The food was just bad. They used excellent ingredients and mangled them. Beautiful foie gras came out covered in raw nuts that were impossible to chew. The final rib eye was nicely cooked but adorned inexplicably with nuts and flavorless dots of foam.
We took the dessert to go because a Glade scented plugin nearby (!?!?!) was making the whole area smell foul and after two hours we were just done.
They said they comped my drink and foie gras but the check wasn’t itemized and the cost didn’t seem to reflect those deductions, but I just wanted to leave.
Wonderful New Year Eves dinner with family members - menu was outstanding, and the service terrific as usual. Thank you.
We had the five course tasting menu for New Year’s Eve, it was amazing. The service was very attentive and the food with the wine pairing was delicious.
We went on New Years eve, we got lucky with a last minute opening. We hadn't been to No. 9 in years and had seen some reviews saying it had lost some of its luster. We found exactly the opposite. Outstanding service that truly wanted to exceed expectations (particularly on a night of the year where that is often not the case). The food, a tasting menu, was creatively and perfectly prepared. All around the perfect way to ring in the New Year. We were thrilled the place still retains a fresh sense of excellence after all these yers. We will definitely return again soon.
Made the wedding anniversary for this old married couple special!
Absolutely amazing experience
Excellent cocktails at the bar, excellent food, the waiter was fine.
Outstanding. Exquisite. Exceeded our already high expectations. Kendall, our waitress, was a gem. Her knowledge of the food and wine offerings were top notch. And that prune gnocci...wow!
Cannot wait to go back!
Unfortunately, No.9 Park is losing its luster. It used to feel like such a special dining experience, but this recent meal will likely be our last. The food was still quite good, but the ambiance and service were lacking. The gracious, welcoming feel is no longer present, and was sorely missed during this meal (and our last).
No. 9 Park made our engagement dinner incredibly special! It’s an experience we’ll always remember. Thank you!
Superb food in a dining room that seems a little tired. The man serving bread and butter announced that the butter came from a single cow in Vermont. He then told us that her name is Babbette (sic). This is no joke. Naturally, I was tempted to ask if Babbette was a Jersey or a Holstein and which grazing pasture she used in Vermont.
Are we now going to be presented with "Butter Lists" in restaurants...........lists with photos, names of the milk producer and captions like "Priscilla and her boyfriend, Jake the bull, and their two calves live happily at Brooks Farm in Woodstock Vermont."
Family pre- holiday get together
Tired in all respects. Far from what it once was.
No.9 can always been counted on to deliver a high quality food in a charming environment with great wine and cheese selections. The food is always expertly prepared. We had the prime stuffed gnocchi, a scallop dish and the chicken, which believe it or not is one of the highlights of the menu. And their cheese cart this year was something to be admired - definitely save room for a cheese course if you can.
Love the holiday lunch!
Holiday lunch was tremendous. Our third year doing this and will definitely be a yearly tradition.
Christmastime Lunch is an annual tradition for us, and this year did not disappoint.
Even after all these year's Barbara Lynch and her team continue to nail it at No. 9 Park. The service and food were both outstanding on my most recent visit.
I was very disappointed in the lack of food quality of what has always been a Boston gem. The service was excellent but the quality of the food for the prices left a lot to be desired. My salad was overdressed and my salmon had no taste. I was extremely disappointed and will never return.
Truly elegant and delicious experience
It was one the best meals we ever had. Patrick and the crew was amazing. Thank you again for giving us such a special Xmas date experience!
We did the chef tasting selection and it was phenomenal! I highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely evening out. Well worth the hefty bill at the end.
We had a fantastic time celebrating the holidays at No9 Park. This restaurant is such a special institution in the city of Boston and doesn't disappoint!
Always a great experience here! There isn’t one thing I would change... the food , service and dining room ambience is pure perfection.
We each had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Everything was fabulous. The risotto was my favorite. Or maybe the scallops, or the braised short ribs! Service was excellent as well; James was our lead server but the whole team was great. Pleasant and helpful. Pacing was just right, even letting us know they would hold off for a few minutes while we finished our cocktails.
However. It’s expensive at $210 a person plus tax and gratuity. I am very glad we splurged though!
Everything was excellent, but although the restaurant wasn't very crowded, the service from the kitchen was rather slow. Out waitperson was outstanding, as reflected in her tip
The service is impeccable!
Great experience! Food and service excellent! Enjoyed the tasting menu, together with paired wines.
Will recommend to my friends.
A wonderful meal well worth the drive from Montreal for a quick visit to Boston
Diago was amazing with and thought of many little touches that made the evening even better
This is my third time, over ten years, at No. 9 Park. This time, I'm loathe to say, was a step below mediocre. We had three apps and three main courses and not a one was stellar and several were poorly conceived. My foie gras terrine had two small charred triangles of bread--nowhere nearly enough for the dish itself and was difficult to put together. The pumpkin volute was overwhelmed by the smoke. The steak was bland. The drinks were weak and uninteresting.
I've loved our earlier meals here but this one, at a hundred dollars a person, was a deep disappointment.
