Ninfa's on Navigation
Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success.
If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more.
Voted Best Margaritas, you can enjoy Ninfaritas on the outdoor deck, dine on the best Mexican dishes & fajitas around and truly enjoy the great restaurant experience.
Great! Outdoor seating and service very nice! Loved the market across the street as well!
Ninfa's is always a great place to eat. Good service, Great Food!
Always a fun spot to meet family & friends!!! We will be back.
Wonderful food in a spacious but loud environment with sopapillas as dessert the topping off of a great meal !
Food wasn’t as good as it has been in the past
Normally we (4 of us) have delicious Tex_Mex and margaritas. For some reason I was in the mood for fajitas...and what better place than the birthplace of fajitas. Sadly.....the WORST beef fajitas I can remember. What wasn't fatty was gristle. And what was meat....was unflavored. VERY disappointing. We will continue to frequent Ninfa's on Navigation.......just not the fajitas.
The waitress was short-tempered and angry with us. Not sure why. I thought we were polite. When she brought the check, she was incredibly rude. She pointed at it and said “gratuity is NOT included!” I have no idea what made her think that we would not include a tip. I waited tables in college. Even if you are not a good waitress, I still leave a tip.
Ninfa’s is an experience. If you enjoy good Mexican food and good service, you’ll enjoy Ninfa’s. We always have impeccably prepared food (we’ve had some of the best octopus we’ve ever eaten at Ninfa’s), and the drinks are wonderful. We recommend Ninfa’s to all our friends.
Food was delicious. My wife had the fajita burger and loved it.
It is a classic, but can't hold a candle to Soto's Cantina
Great food, great service, manager gave us a history lesson on Ninfa’s, was very pleasant and then gave us a free appetizer!
We always enjoy going to Ninfas when we are in Houston. The food is always delicious!
Wonderful as always!
Very lively atmosphere, always good food, great chips and dip, and awesome margaritas!
Quest was cold....
Ninfa’s is always a fun experience. Food and drink are spot-on, and servers are attentive. Already planning another visit!
It seems over the last few years the food is not as good as it used to bee
Had out of town visitors and this was the first place we stopped! Have to bring them here for their first meal of fajitas! They loved it! (no surprise!)
It wasn't what I was expecting on their food. We went the first time and the wait was one hour and a half. So then we left and next time we went we made a reservation, but the family food was not what I expected.
As usual, the best fajitas in town! Also love the queso, red sauce and chips! This was before the Rolling Stones concert - a margarita to get ready for Mick!
Very good service and food. So noisy we could not talk.
We had steak fajitas and shrimp Diablo. Both were excellent. Service was outstanding. And we ate outside on a rare comfortable night for Houston. The street festival and music was a big plus!
Best Tex-Mex food I have had in a long time. Just like I remembered from long ago.
We happened to be sitting next to a table of 22 people, so the noise was a distraction for most of our meal. The ceviche was a bit of a disappointment, as the red snapper was not cut into small pieces, rather long strands that were just not pleasant to look at--the shrimp was fine. I had the speaial--I think called the Chicken torta--it was okay, once I got rid of all the bread--which was more like a giant hambrger bun than what I expected--more like a tortilla. My husband's chile relleno was very good. I ordered $17 margaritas made from El Tesoro Reposada and they were quite good. Salsas were excellent!
All of our food was excellent margaritas are top-notch service was impeccable
Food was over cooked and very dry. Our time schedule did not permit staying longer for the four meals to be redone. Very disappointing as I had urged our friends to try Ninfas for their first visit.
Great place to eat before the game
Always crowded before an Astros game - but the food is always great! Our favorite Tex-Mex food in Houston. The shuttle to the Astros game is great. Always a winner!
Completely worth it- wonderful ambiance, food, serving size, and service!
Delicious food love the homemade quality. Brisket tamales are great. Margaritas could have been stonger and cheaper but still ok.
Great Tex-Mex. First choice in Houston!
The food never disappoints. Service isn’t the best in town, but the food definitely over comes it!
Great server, great food. Consistent for 40+ years of dining here.
This is a must-try restaurant when in Houston. The Shrimp Diablo is wonderfully seasoned, the skirt steak fajita moist and tender.
The best part about my meal was the chips and salsa. This is not the quality of food that I associate with my prior Ninfa's experiences.
The food was nothing more than overpriced fast food. We were visiting Houston in hopes of eating authentic Tex-Mex. the queso was melted velveeta cheese. Terrible.
Soooo many flies by our window table!!!! Slower than usual service before Astros game.
Amazing food. Delicious
