Ninfa's on Navigation
Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success.
If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more.
Voted Best Margaritas, you can enjoy Ninfaritas on the outdoor deck, dine on the best Mexican dishes & fajitas around and truly enjoy the great restaurant experience.
Great Tex-Mex. First choice in Houston!
The food never disappoints. Service isn’t the best in town, but the food definitely over comes it!
Great server, great food. Consistent for 40+ years of dining here.
This is a must-try restaurant when in Houston. The Shrimp Diablo is wonderfully seasoned, the skirt steak fajita moist and tender.
The best part about my meal was the chips and salsa. This is not the quality of food that I associate with my prior Ninfa's experiences.
The food was nothing more than overpriced fast food. We were visiting Houston in hopes of eating authentic Tex-Mex. the queso was melted velveeta cheese. Terrible.
Soooo many flies by our window table!!!! Slower than usual service before Astros game.
Amazing food. Delicious
We arrived with 11 instead of 8, so we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but that is to be expected. We were given a very nice table in a room where the noise level was much better than the large room. The wait staff worked really hard to accommodate our large group and did a fabulous job. Our waitress was really gracious about requests to take photos in the midst of the crazy, hectic pace she had to keep.
Date night for Astros game
First dining experience out in Houston on a business trip. Absolutely loved it! I was seated right away on a Sunday evening. Got the mixta diablo and the house margarita at the recommendation of my server, who was friendly and helpful. Don't miss the hot sauce for a few cents extra.
Thought it was a cool place / environment and had decent food. The guacamole was a bit disappointing but the fajitas were good. We could have gone without.
Ninfa’s on Navigation is always great and this was no exception...cheers!
Delicious food! Great service! Would definitely reserve and visit again!
Very disappointing. We were a party of 5 and ordered the El Nopalito and Mixta Diablo. It was bad. All the meat was so overcooked and dried out, and I mean seriously overcooked. They forgot one of our plates of rice and beans and one plate of the guacamole/pico/sour cream. They did bring those 2 plates out for us. Our drinks weren't refilled when empty. On the other hand, we were there to celebrate a 62 year anniversary and a birthday. The waiter told me the restaurant would bring a sopapilla for the birthday but they don't celebrate anniversaries. I told them instead of bringing the sopapilla to the birthday girl to offer it to the anniversary couple since 62 years is impressive. The restaurant was gracious and ended up bringing 2 desserts, one for each occasion. Still, I have no intention of returning.
The room was too cold! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I told the restaurant it was for my friend’s birthday!
I asked for a piece of dessert or whatever is customary for a birthday. It was never even acknowledged! I was very disappointed! A dessert is not too much too ask! All restaurants at least acknowledge it or why even ask!
Have loved this place for 40 years, still the best.
This is completely average tex mex for $30/plate. Absolutely ridiculous.
The good was good, the menu interesting. A little pricier than I had anticipated. Service was very good, never had to wait for anything.
Always a great choice for Mexican food ! Love going here before a game or just when I am in town. Margaritas and Mole chicken enchiladas are outstanding.
Very tasty fajitas. Good service. Making a reservations helps get a table. And the shuttle to Minute Maid Park is a plus.
It was nice to visit Ninfa's since I had not been to one is many years (they closed the one in Austin). I also planned this visit to coincide with a Houston Astros ballgame since Ninfa's has a free shuttle! Great experience.
Great pre-game lunch and nice to catch up with long time friends with chips & salsa!
Excellent service and good food - it was loud but it was also crowded
Always excellent food. Very busy at sunday lunch but got us out in good time for the Astros game.
If you want fajitas this is the place. If you already have had them, then try the rest of the menu. Chef is doing some awesome things besides the fajitas. We had a steak special and it was amazing. Yes the fajitas are iconic but do try other things too.
Great overall experience, as always. We really missed seeing Tina, but Katy did a great job taking care of us!
Found the restaurant when I looked for places that provided a shuttle service to the Houston Astros. The story of Ninfa's was also intriguing, so we made a reservation. We were seated immediately, and had very good service from our waitress. The usual basket of chips arrived with two different salsa varieties.
The chicken fajitas were very good and the homemade tortillas were also good. My wife had red snapper, and that was also good. Shuttle to the baseball stadium was very quick (the young lady driver was quite friendly, and a future NASCAR driver, I think) and we waited less than 1 minute after the game when she picked us up.
Ninfa’s always delivers when it comes to classic Tex-Mex.
Great food, the fajita meat enchiladas are the best. Great house margaritas. My wife’s fajitas were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Best TexMex in Houston. Four stars because they seemed to botch our reservation on a very crowded day. After waiting 10 minutes after our reservation time and watching party after party get seated, I corralled a hostess who went searching for a table for us. At first tried to seat us at two person table when there were three of us in reservation. Finally found us a table on patio and fortunately out of sun and weather was okay.
Delicious as usual ! Our favorite Sunday lunch in Houston
Food was good but drinks were not. The service was very good.
Restaurant's table setup is too cramped and the food and adult beverages are overpriced.
Can't beat Ninfa's on Navigation for superb fajitas! Great red salsa and queso, too! Service is always attentive but not overbearing. The BEST!
Excellent food. Waitress was great. Modelo Negra on tap. My favorite American beer on tap! Nachos and fajitas were great. Spanish rice was made like in Mexico City, with carrots and potatoes. The location. Is quite interesting as well. Get reservations on busier days.
Ninfas was so amazing. The quality of the food and drinks were beyond my expectations but could use more vegan options however i know it's an authentic place so i won't judge them on that part. My fiancee loved the fajitas. Their guacamole is amazing and margaritas to die for! We definitely will be back!
Service was excellent and the drinks were fantastic, but the food was just ok... I’ll chalk it up to the Cinco de Mayo crowds as my wife tells me she’s always had great experiences here.
Spectacular Food & Service, just Over-the-Top experience
