First time we've been here in over 20 years when Mama Ninfa was still living. The food and ambiance were excellent and authentic then, and surprisingly it's the same!!! Extremely friendly staff, the manager was terrific, and our waiter was attentive and thorough. My family was celebrating Father's Day, but no one wanted to dress up. This was the perfect choice! Casual, carefree dining and fresh, delicious, authentic mexican cuisine!!!
Wonderful as always! The wait staff is phenomenal, the patio was nicely covered so we could enjoy it even during the rain, and I loved the cucumber mint margarita.
This was a special date before going to the Theatre. We notified the restaurant of our time commitment beforehand, via Open Table, and they were very conscientious and considerate in helping us depart on time. They got us seated and took our order in a timely manner. Our food was top notch and again, was out in a timely manner. We ordered the Parilla Mixta: Beef or Chicken Fajitas, Carnitas, Shrimp, Ribs & Chile Relleño for two, and had plenty for a 'to go' box. We shared a flan that tasted very fresh and homemade (like Mama would make). Our waitress was very kind to place a bag of ice with it, so it would stay cool and not spoil, while we enjoyed the theatre. The staff was very happy and upbeat.
The food and service were great as usual. We were seated near the bar and the noise level was terrible. (Energetic, give me a break!)
Fajitas were really over cooked. Tortillas were almost to stiff to wrap.
Flies were off the charts
And it was hot as heck back right by the bar
The food was good but we got our meals about 30 seconds after our drinks. My plate was so hot I burned my finger trying to move it closer to me.
There was no chance to enjoy our cocktails before our meal.
As usual the food was exceptional. We came for the Astros shuttle so it was great to spentd $20 on margaritas rather than parking. We’ll do this for each game.
Another great night at the Navigation hot spot. This place never disappoints.....food was perfect and server (Ashlie) was pleasant and there when needed. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a great time. The wait time was minimal, service was quick and attentive and the food was good!
Excellent as always. Too many flies, but we sat on the patio, so I guess that’s to be expected. Our waiter was very attentive, when he could make his way over to us. He seemed to be juggling too many tables though.
We love the Original Ninfa’s because it feels so comfortable being there. We be coming since it first opened
Our favorite forever! Great loyal staff, great margaritas, fantastic beef fajitas!
Amazing food, excellent service, but it is noisy. The ceviche appetizer was incredible, and enough for a meal, and I loved the mushroom quesadilla.
Such amazing food. So fresh and tasty!!!
Laura our waitress was very attentive. Helps us menu items for the kids to enjoy.
Received a recommendation to go here for fajitas. We had a reservation, although they were dead and it wasn’t needed. We were greeted immediately and showed to a table that was wedged in between other tables and had to be moved out because you couldn’t even pull the chair out without running into the wall. Why do restaurants feel the need to put that one extra table into the space that crowds everyone. The waitress couldn’t even get past chairs it was so tight.
We ordered our fajitas, opting to get a medium order to split as we aren’t big eaters, and literally, within 3 minutes it was at our table. Glad we didn’t want to actually eat the chips and salsa, there was no time for that. Our drinks came after our food that is how fast it came out.
The chips were basic, nothing special. The salsa was way too loaded with cilantro for my liking and especially spicy.
We had ordered the steak and chicken fajitas, the steak was well done, and there was seriously - 1 red pepper and only onions for the rest of the vegetables. I was the lucky one to get the single red pepper - 1 pepper slice for an entire order?
I understand shredded cheese isn’t authentic, but these fajitas needed something to help the dryness. The tortillas were tasty and my husband liked the guac. Overall, a lacklaster order of fajitas for someplace that claims to have created them? With the exception of the fresh tortillas, these were nothing special in my books.
We were done and out of the restaurant in 30 minutes. Nothing like being rushed out — and with no one waiting for a table.
We were in Houston for 3 days and ate Mexican one time. I wish we had picked a different place to try to the Mexican food in Houston. This one left us disappointed. We wouldn’t go back.
Perfect for a Pre-Astros game dinner or lunch. They have a shuttle service to Minute Maid!
Were celebrating by daughters college graduation. Everything was excellent!! Food, service, and ambience was awesome!! Would definitely come back again.
Great atmosphere, very friendly waiters and bartenders, amazing food and top notch drinks!
It was very loud , crowded tables and not very good service
Food was delicious service it was bad
Took my wife and mother out a day early for Mother’s Day to avoid the actual Mother’s Day restaurant outing on Sunday and it started out bumpy and became worse as the dinner continued. First the waitress seemed a little rude when we had only been sitting for about 10 minutes and we knew what we wanted and she gave us a not so pleasant look like we were bothering her because we were ready to order. Then as our food was coming out there were two large groups of people that went to the bar by where we sat, (if possible avoid any tables by the bar) and they were so loud that when we attempted to ask one another how the food was, none of us could hear the other. The same groups made it extremely difficult for the staff to maneuver through that area due to the fact they wouldn’t move. Overall I was very disappointed with the visit and knowing that it’s probably like that on weekend, it’s highly unlikely that we will ever return.
We had a birthday celebration there, and loved it! It had been 30 years since I'd been to the original Ninfa's, and it didn't disappoint. Classic fun place!
Food was great! Just chilly AC!
Had 8 people at our table and they made us "pair up" for tickets - would not provide separate tickets. This is a bad policy for lunch. Food was very pricey for the quality. Average food... high prices! Not a place to go if you want to carry on conversations - noise level at lunch was very loud. Server was awesome!
Our waitress, Laura, was amazing!
The pitcher of margaritas was mediocre at best. The salsa was mostly tomato sauce, not tomatoes. Other food was just so so.
Loved the food, presentation was great and flavor was even better! Outstanding service. Will definitely go back!
Great food and drinks. Big parties welcome. Best place in Houston to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
The food and service were great. Will definitely eat there again.
We celebrated one of our co-worker's birthday (the Big 40) at Ninfa's on Naigation and it was wonderful. The food, the atmosphere, everything turned out perfect!!
Ninfa’s gets everything right. From a great margarita, to great guacamole, to those amazing fajitas.
Good choice for Mexican, but limited options for Vegetarian
Great restaurant! Very authentic Mexican feel and excellent food.
Food was great. We had beef fajitas and they had a wonderful flavor. The tortillas were perfect. Loved the chips and green sauce.
Loved our waiter Gabriel! The grilled pulpo is truly amazing.
The waiter was rushing our party to the point of him bringing carry-out boxes within 20 minutes and without request. Otherwise, everything was good.
Service was not very good this visit, food was amazing as always
