Ninfa's on Navigation
Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success.
If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more.

We had an amazing server & service! I absolutely love Ninfa’s & take all my friends here when they come to town. Never disappoints. Food is phenomenal, the original margaritas are some of the best (if not THE best) margs I’ve ever had. Will be back many more times!
Really great food - delicious - and kind, considerate service!
Fajitas were delicious! Waitstaff was very nice. Close to Minute Maid Park.
Lunch with friends - food was great as always. Service was well paced - allowed us to talk and eat without the staff hovering.
I had a reservation and I was seated immediately. Excellent food and service. If you are headed to an Astros game you can eat lunch or dinner at Ninfas and they give to a ride to the ballpark and also pick you up! Great service!
If you are looking for traditional good Mexican food this is the place to go and the service is fantastic from the greeters to the bartenders and wait staff.
Great service. Parking was available at 6:00. Tortilla was undercooked and doughy. Service outstanding.
The restaurant was very loud, we were in the smaller dining room. Can't really complain but our table of 6 couldn't hear each other without shouting. Next time would do outdoor seating if mosquitoes aren't too bad.
Excellent food...a little high priced for Mexican food but there’s a distinct service and ambience improvement over other average Mexican restaurants.
Did not get correct entree and service was not great.
always a fun place to go, especially before or after Astros game, great food, extensive menu, lots to select from, awesome service
Great food and service!
Delicious food and absolutely great shuttle service to Minutemaid Park for the Astros game!
Food was good but nothing special. Beef fajitas were tasty, redfish was over cooked. Service was good but restaurant was loud so ordering was a challenge.
A Houston icon. Great food and great service. If you order the quail, let your waiter know as soon as possible, because quail seems to take a littler longer than other things other things on the menu.
Ninfas is the best! Let’s be honest it’s a Houston staple when it comes to fine Tex Mex and Mexican dining since the 70s. Come in, have a few drinks, you won’t be disappointed.
The food and the service is incredible at Ninfa’s on Navigation. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great meal in Houston to try out this spot. Couldn’t have had a better experience.
Great food and service. Bring your phone for the menu.
Would highly recommend, we went pretty late but, the staff was very welcoming, service was amazing and the food was 10/10!
It was great! They let me bring me bring my little fur baby to eat on the patio.
Good food weak drinks
Delish food-as always-at my fave Mexican restaurant!! So good
Waiter acted like we were a bother, did not take our order and assisted other tables. Forgot to place the order for one person at our table. Never refilled drinks. The fajitas were burned. For the price of the food this was NOT worth it. I would ask for a FULL refund if it was possible!!! Never eating at Ninfas on navigation again!
Table was ready for our party of 6 right on time. Fajitas were fabulous, one large each of chicken and steak was perfect for our group. We also had quac and a couple chili rellenos.
All and all a great night.
As we remembered. You have to get Queso Flamiado!
Delicious as always. I do wish they would go back to the way they used to make the flour tortillas. They used to be light and soft. Now they are hard.
Wonderful service, prompt, good food and atmosphere.
Great menu, splendid preparation, outstanding service. One of Houston's finest!
Good but not what it used to be.
I wanted to treat my mother to fajitas and margaritas for Mother’s Day. I made note that the last time I was at this Ninfa’s my fajitas were not sizzling and warm but I did not let that ruin my experience. This last visit our fajitas were not sizzling and warm. When we asked our server Jose Q. he replied “Maybe the plate isn’t that hot”. We watched every other plate come out smoking and sizzling pretty loudly. There was no need for the smart a** comment and we wanted to point out that he should have been on top of his tables. When we asked for a to go container he held it up until one of us took it from his hands instead of just placing it down on the table since we were mid conversation. When the bill came instead of just handing over a receipt or the device he read our total to the entire table.
It was okay, nothing special.
My only issue was we ordered beef fajita's medium rare and they came out mostly medium. Other than that everything was excellent.
Waitress was above average attention wise, but too much time between unsolicited stops!
Very crowded Because it was Mother’s Day weekend. Our waitress was attentive but she had a lot of tables to serve. Our food was kind of cold. And not really a good portion for the money.
Service was completely disorganized and poor throughout the meal, despite being one of the first tables seated with a reservation.
The food is still good, but Papacitos is still better. Mixed drinks were average at best.
Always the best for Tex-Mex! Love the margaritas and the chips. The mole is very good as well.
Mother’s Day. We reserved outdoor dining. Upon arrival we were put in a room inside. It was 10:45 am and no one (including servers) were even in the room they put us in. I had to asked to be moved outside. They did move us outside and it was better but the food unfortunately fell flat. It was our first time trying their brunch. I understand it was Mother’s Day and I know they probably were slammed later in the day. This is why we made reservation for early. Our plan did not work. We will definitely be back for our usual fajitas and such but the brunch menu did not impress.
