I have been to Japan a few times so I know good ramen. Nikkei Ramen-ya doesn't disappoint. Great choices. Quaint spot in downtown Courtenay.

We booked a table online which was great, patio setting on the street not the best because of exhaust and noise from traffic. It was easy to place an order and pay and the food was great, nice and fresh, not too salty, portions were excellent actually too much for us seniors. Would definitely recommend and we are coming back again in August from Nanaimo. Too bad ethnic restaurants don't play ethnic music though.

Was kinda pricy for a bowl of ramen, and so sit on a picnic table on the street, was tasty though and would recommend

The food was very good. We loved it and gobbled it up so quickly. I was surprised how everyone just hoovered it down. Delicious and nourishing. We'll be back, Thanks.

The food was lovely, and we were able to sit outside to eat, which was lovely because...shutdown. They are one of the only places in our town that has outdoor heaters. They could get stronger ones if this panorama goes on much longer. The food is fantastic! Gotta love ramen!!! The street was quiet (mostly) and the atmosphere was good. I highly recommend this place.

Good food for the price. Not anything "Wow". Good service and they've adapted a couple of heated tents to accommodate for distancing.
