Luxury takes root in the heart of Austin at Nido, bringing the charm of the area together with the culinary techniques of coastal Europe, all perched above Lady Bird Lake and the energetic cityscape.

Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Nido nods to the surrounding and native Hill Country, giving diners a one-of-a-kind respite to experience worldly-travel through food. Nido’s selection of carefully crafted, seasonal menus are internationally-inspired with a focus on classical technique.

Reservations are available for inside the dining room and the dining tables in the bar. Lounge seating is available on a walk in basis in the bar and on the terrace for drinks and snacks.

We ate in the bar where it wasn’t as noisy as the main dinning room. Our server, Sebastian was wonderful. The food was excellent.

We had an amazing dinner at Nido! Service was superb. The Parker rolls, chicken a la brick and Nido’s candy bar were spectacular. It was a little noisy on a Friday night but the view of the Austin skyline was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Hands down one of the worst dining experiences in Austin. We came to Nido expecting something polished and enjoyable. Instead, the waiter took thirty minutes just to take our order, acted like we were a burden the entire time, and made no effort to communicate or check in. We sat and watched multiple tables who arrived after us get served while we were completely ignored. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. After wasting over an hour with no food and no respect, we left. Hungry, frustrated, and completely unimpressed. Nido might have the views, but the service is an embarrassment. Plenty of restaurants in this city know how to treat people well. This is not one of them.

We love this place but the service is inconsistent. We went during a weekday mid day and it took 20 minutes to get our drinks even though it was empty. The waiter had zero knowledge of the bar and kept making excuses for the poor service which makes for an awkward and uncomfortable experience. We love the vibe and the scenery but I don’t think we will be back any time soon.

While it is a beautiful restaurant, the prices are way to high for what you get. We spent $200 and still had to swing through Mcdonalds on the way home. The portion sizes for both entrees and wine are very small and priced very high

We really enjoyed our dinner at Nido. Outside patio has a beautiful sunset view and downtown Austin skyline. Great pictures. Food was good. We had the tuna crudo and snapper ceviche, along with the lamb ragú.

Fantastic experience here last night for my 4 year anniversary. The restaurant had rose petals on the table and brought us out complimentary champagne at the end of out meal. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be coming back!

I wasn’t very impressed by the atmosphere, it’s kind of old looking inside. Without the view, there would be no reason to come here. Food is good but very expensive
