Luxury takes root in the heart of Austin at Nido, bringing the charm of the area together with the culinary techniques of coastal Europe, all perched above Lady Bird Lake and the energetic cityscape.

Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Nido nods to the surrounding and native Hill Country, giving diners a one-of-a-kind respite to experience worldly-travel through food. Nido’s selection of carefully crafted, seasonal menus are internationally-inspired with a focus on classical technique.

Reservations are available for inside the dining room and the dining tables in the bar. Lounge seating is available on a walk in basis in the bar and on the terrace for drinks and snacks.

    I have been to Nido several times, but this was my first time to secure a reservation on the patio. It was a beautiful night -- the fans and the misters do the trick to keep you cool in the Texas heat. Our server, Trenton, was a delight -- he made it an even more enjoyable experience.

    Overall our experience was okay. We arrived promptly to our reservation and had to wait around 5-7 minutes to be seated. The hostess was very courteous, but once seated we waited another 5-10 minutes for our waiter to approach us. The drinks were delicious and the food was good. The ambiance was lovely and comfortable despite the late afternoon sun. I think the most significant component that impacted our experience was the service. Our waiter made multiple passive-aggressive remarks towards one of our guests at the table, some of our friends thought the waiter had some odd reason for picking on him. At the end of our dinner, we kindly requested a group photo and he dismissed us. It was up to a senior manager who was very kind to take a moment to take a photo. I'd like to return but would expect a much kinder service experience to recommend to a friend.

    Gorgeous sunset views!! Staff were wonderful, in particular, our waiter Sebastian. Great experience to cap off our weekend in Austin.

    Our second time for HH in the bar. Exquisite perfection. The view, the ambiance, the food, the service was outstanding. Nothing else like it in Austin.

    The food is not much as we expect. But the free desert is really out of our expectation and gave us a pleasant surprise. I appreciate your arrangement of signed greeting card and the dessert. They made my day! If the dinner menu is not so expensive, we will come again at dinner time.

    Nido has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. With stunning views of downtown and the river, plus cozy, well-designed seating, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed yet elevated meal. We loved everything we ordered — the smoked salmon hash, B.E.C. on a roll, and avocado toast were all creative takes on the classics, and most importantly, absolutely delicious. Our waitress struck the perfect balance: attentive without being intrusive, giving us space to enjoy our time without ever feeling rushed. The staff at The Loren hotel were equally impressive — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their friendly energy and thoughtful small talk made it clear they take pride in their work. Overall, Nido delivered on every front. I’ll definitely be back for the next special occasion — or just a beautiful brunch with friends.
