Great & Professional Service!! Our Reservations were honored by the hostess, food was delivered quickly and the taste was very very good.
The flavors of the food were good. The salmon was cooked and seasoned nicely, as were the vegetables. The fries were interesting; on the thick side and cooked nicely. The food came quickly. The menu was limited due to it being a show night. The service left something to be desired. There were maybe 4 other diners when we arrived (2 of them at the bar). The waitstaff weren't rude, they just seemed distant. Our main waiter did just enough, nothing more; I perceived he may have been overwhelmed. This was my first visit. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. I have no desire to return.
Had a nice dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. Reservation was for 4pm and I was accommodated immediately. It wasn’t very busy probably because of how early it was. The mushroom cake was excellent. The green salad was nothing special. A bit overpriced in my opinion. But overall good experience.

We arrived for a reservation but it was tight to make the show. The restaurant did all in its power to get us served and happy before the beginning of the show. We so appreciated it and the food was delicious.

ideal location if you are going to a show. food taste was outstanding. a very limited menu but that's to be expected now. service was poor and they were short staffed, also to be expected right now. We had shrimp and grits appetizer, short ribs for dinner and I had filet mignon. All food was outstanding.
Nico Kitchen was great! The staff is very friendly and everything about this location was wonderful. The menu selections were very good, not immense. The variety allowed you to pick from fish, steak, salads to burgers. The service was wonderful and the ambiance was so nice. Would go back even if not attending a show.
Menu was limited perhaps due to Covid Service was good.
Very very small limited menu but delicious turkey club sandwich. Very accommodating waitstaff. Sad that it wasn’t busy due to COVID This was a pretty concert 🎵 lunch Delightful. Also sad that the concert hall was only 1/2 full due to COVID. this should never have been.

There was a miscommunication between the server and bartender and you received the wrong drink, I apologize for that, it shouldn't have happened and I take full responsibility. It was hard to get a drink at the bar. One bar tender working very hard, the second notWe so much. Ordered pizza and a salad. After 50 minutes we had to cancel the order and go to the show next door. It appeared the service people were mostly all new. We were told the kitchen was backed up, but when you can't get a salad and a pizza after 50 minutes, it's more than backed up. We have been there before and always liked it. This was not a good visit.
Hi Jack, You have every right to be upset about the way we performed that evening. We let you down when it came to the bar service and to the food. 50 minutes is far too long and nowhere near to our standards. We are making changes to ensure this does not occur moving forward. Great please to have a drink/food before a show at the NJPAC
I have eaten here many times before. This time was the worst. I feel bad for the only 2 people that were waiting tables for the entire restaurant. It took 40 min just for them to bring water. They ran out of bread. They didn't have much of a choice for entrees so I went with the steak which was a choice of 3. They told me I'm sorry we are out of steak. So had to go with a Cheeseburger. Wasn't worth it.
My girlfriend ordered the wings and a pretzel. Wings were not good. The pretzel was fresh and delicious. So our dinner came down to eating a pretzel. Lol
Our food didn't come to our table till 1 hour after ordering. We had a show to go to and were late cause of the service. The waiter was so kind and I felt bad for him to have to work in a place run like this. I've been going here for years and never experienced such a horrible time having dinner. I will not be going there anymore. Just to aggravating and not worth it.

Their menu has changed! They only have a few entree options. The pizza came out burnt and the chicken sandwich was dry and nasty. I won’t eat there again waste of money.
Hi Carmen, I want to personally apologize for your experience here last Saturday. We clearly dropped the ball and did not perform to our standards. I know if you give us another chance we'll show that we are far better than that. As for the menu, we are starting our fall menu that has expanded entrée options this week, so hopefully you'll find more options to you liking. We had a 6:30 reservation, was seated at 6:15, took 20 minutes to order cocktails.
Then we ordered that lousy food (bar food) got french fries around 7:05, salads came at 7:30, show was at 8:00. It is obvious that this establishment is not ready for the crowd that a show brings in, the waitress was WONDERFUL through the whole thing, however, NEVER AGAIN no matter how convenient it is for a show. They made good on the bill, but GOD forbid if they had to make real food!

Had the best experience after a rough day, Meshon totally turned my mood around! He was so kind and attentive, and we had some wonderful conversations. The fried catfish dinner and the “bla bla bla mojito” was amazing! I highly recommend you spend your evening here.
Made reservations for 8:30pm for a group of 4. Hostess was very kind and sat us outside at a high top table. A busser came over and gave us silverware and glasses. We looked over the menu via the QR code on the table. Checked the time it’s now 9pm. Not a single server came over to take our drink orders. One server came to our table with drinks (by mistake) in which he proceeded to bring to the correct table. We observed another table receive their wings after 20 minutes. Finally it’s 9:15pm and my friend went in to ask why no one has come to the table to take our order. Only to find out the kitchen was closed and they are only servings drinks.

I’m from NYC and travelled to Nico’s . The food was amazing and the drinks to die for. Loved the place. The waiter was friendly from the beginning to end. Excellent service.

As I understand it was first day so kudos to them. Not a fan of the pizza. Crust is way too dry and vegetable pizza lacked taste and veges!
Chicken sandwiches were very good as was Brussels sprouts, fries, caeser salad and pretzel.
We all enjoyed our experience. Bar were good.
The restaurant decor is sophisticated and clean featuring a beautiful bar stocked with nice liquors. A wonderful selection of cocktails and beers. From the appetizers to the desserts, Nico doesn’t fail to impress! The staff are polite and are quick to cater to your every need. I am very pleased with this establishment and would 100% recommend everyone to attend this restaurant if they want an exceptional experience.
This is the second time I have been at Nico's and it is amazing. Great food, delicious drinks and awesome service!
My wife & I, and two of our grandchildren, visited during one of NJPAC's outdoor concerts, Felix Hernandez's Dance Party. We were seated outside and had a great time, noisy but great.
Cathy was the hostess and she was most accommodating, friendly and kind and attentive. The waitress was a Latina, and I forgot her name, but she was so lovely that she made our entire experience, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! We will return next week. I think her name as Jessica.
We ate early and sat in our favorite part of the room—adjacent to the bar. We were seated quickly. Our waiter guided us through the options for the evening and worked with us in getting tweaks to some of the options. We had an excellent meal that we thoroughly enjoyed. This was one of our first times eating out post-Covid. It couldn't have been a better experience.

We eat out at a lot of establishments across nation (and globe) and squeezed in a quick meal here before a show.
Very much liked the convenience to the theater, the high quality food, the good options for kids (special menu designed by chef's daughter), the value of the food quality to cost, and the service. The waitstaff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, accommodating (when we wanted to go to the show and come back later for the desserts that came with the meals, holding our leftovers, etc).
Would definitely return for all of the above reasons - great job Nico Kitchen & Bar, we're a hard family to impress and you've done it!

Under new management, this restaurant has developed new menu items, daily specials and re-trained staff. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. i thoroughly enjoy coming here for its atmosphere, quality and convenience.
New manager ! Yah. Delicious food. Great bean burger. Been coming here for years before NJPHILHARMONIC This was the best lunch ever. Thx to new manager Don’t know if new chef but seems it. A pleasureful lunch.
As always, the staff was charming and polite (though they tend to get overwhelmed easily), and the food was atrocious, as it always is. My friend had the quiche and salad. The quiche was absolutely devoid of flavor and the accompanying salad was full of sand and had no salad dressing. I had the burger - pretty decent, except the beautiful, skinny pommes frites that were traditionally the highlight of the meal have now been replaced by some oddly shaped potato that's just god-awful; the overriding flavor was of dirty deep fryer grease.
We had a pleasant pre-performance meal--the food was quite good, the noise level was fine, the service was a little slow but attentive and we finished in good time for the show
