   It was an unfortunate night overall. The service lacked professionalism - we waiting 24 mins before being served a beverage - we weren’t asked what we’d like to order until 35 mins after being seated when we flagged the waitress - and the meal arrived subpar and cold. We’ve had dinner here before and it was ok the first time, but last night was disappointing. Our poor waitress couldn’t properly navigate and had assistance, both of whom seemed to act as though it was their first day on the job. We were trying to just enjoy the evening and roll with it accordingly but after being there for an hour and 40 mins it became apparent the guest experience was secondary.

   Dinner before show. Ordered 2 beers. It took 20 minutes to get to us. Ordered mushroom Risotto. It was undercooked and oily. Got the Crescent salad. Would have been better if it was not drenched in dressing. Table was sticky, not clean. Poor unorganized service

   Great service and atmosphere. Food is delicious. The reason I only gave the food 4 stars is because we ordered the half chicken with smashed potatoes and there was little chicken to be found. The half chicken was the lower half only which included 2 teeny, tiny drumsticks with approximately on bite each and 2 leg quarters with about the same amount of bites. If you like potato’s for dinner then this is the dish for you because that is what filled the dish. Normally 1/2 chicken includes a wing, breast, drum and leg quarter. Our other friend ordered the salmon which was a generous portion and was also delicious.

    The food and presentation was very nice, however we were seated in the lounge, which is lovely, but had only 1 server. She was extremely busy since all tables were occupied. This made it difficult to order a second drink and/or coffee and dessert. That being said, we enjoyed the experience and will return again. The fact that you are already in the theater is a big plus.

    My husband and I enjoyed our dinner before a show at NJPAC on 3-12-2023 at 5:30PM. Service was excellent from the hostess to the bartender to the manager and our server, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The food was good too. I don't think you can go wrong here for pre-show dinner.

    The best thing about Nico is the convenience to parking and NJPAC. The food was eh. Not terrible but certainly not worth $100 for two with no appetizers. Service was SLOW. My coffee came room temp. Refills on soda took forever. Steak was salty. Won’t be going back.

    The food was just OK- the service was terrible! Our waitress, though very pleasant, never once checked to see if we needed anything and as she wasn't the one who delivered the food we could never find her again. I asked the bus boy for our check and 10 minutes later still didn't have it. I had to flag down another very nice and helpful waiter to finally get the check. While it is obviously very convenient to NJPAC I would go to one of the other nearby restaurants next time.

    Haven't been here in a long time so was excited to come back. Bland atmosphere and my salad had dry premade cool chicken added. Lettuce quality wasn't good either. Service was pleasant but OK. Sadly won't be back.

    Niko was very convenient. Table spacing was excellent and service was okay, though out Waitress seemed to be somewhat forgetful. Entrees were large, but pricey, but give the fact that table spacing could have been much more crowded, I can understand the price. Dinner for two, with salad, entree, shared dessert and one drink each came to around 175 with Tip Beware that if they ask you for Bubbly or still water, you need to tell them "tap water" if you're not wanting to pay for it.

    The service was great. Employees were friendly and attentative. The ambience was just right!! Great food and drinks..Its my first time and most definitely wont be the last.

    Service was not good. No one ever came to fill our water, even when it was totally empty! Our entree arrived right after we started eating our appetizer. When they took it back, they reheated it and when we got it after that it was inedible.

    Poor service 25 minutes to get a cocktail… Kurt waitress…….. bus girl was much mor accommodating. Small dinner portions……high price No utensils for desert …..had to ask bus girl AGAIN OH. Non salt/ pepper on table.. Had to ask bus girl again

    Dinner was for a family of five. Three out of five ordered the pasta bolognese and clearly it was left under the lamp for quite some time- two of the pasta dishes were over cooked and sauce was a brown color - the other pasta dish was fine . A little expensive for the type of food that was being served .

    Excellent food,right in njpac!Friendly,attentive staff but extremely slow service.1/2 hour for appetizers,another 20 minutes for meal.Coffee finished before dessert made it out.Had reservation for 2 hours before show and just made it.Hire more staff and you’re good!P.S. stock non-alchoholic beer,it’s a thing now

    The location of Nico is perfect for a show at NJPAC. The caesar salad was great. The biscuit and wings appetizer were delicious. The salmon entree and special jumbalaya were just okay. We had a great server Justine. Overall the food was just okay.

    Definitely understaffed, the waiter was doing her best, but the kitchen was very slow, we had to cancel our main dish, and we may have made it if we had not ordered a starter.....

    Nico's is a nice pre-event dining location in the NJPAC. We had a reservation and were seated promtly. The service was very good as the server admitted he was new to the job. While his service was very good there were little slips like not noticing that my wife drink was put up on the bar for delivery and not see it right away (note we were there early there was not a crowd). I sure in time he'll learn to multitask better. On to the food which changes on a seasonal basis. The fall menu was very good the Chard salad was great. I had the pumpkin soup which seemed to have a little too much of a tomato base and no enough pumpkin spice. My wife gave raves to the Fall burger special and liked the salmon which was cooked just right. Yes I would go to Nico's independent of an event, but it make's a great night out with whatever you are at the NJPAC for.

    Nico is a great place to grab something to eat before a show at NJPAC! So convenient and we loved the food, service and atmosphere. This was our first time and definitely will not be our last. I had tried to make a reservation a few months ago for dinner before another show, but I waited too long to try and couldn't get the time I wanted. This time I made sure I reserved in plenty of time.

    The pumpkin and squash bisque appetizer was not tasty at all and it was not what we expected. Tasted more like an indian curry. The entrees were fine, but overpriced. Did not even want dessert (also, I think there was only ONE option...?) after such an underwhelming experience. Service was underwhelming as well. We had so many different people coming to the table (i.e. it did not seem like we had one waiter/waitress looking out for us or being a point of contact), our appetizer plates were not taken away timely nor were our waters filled even though it was not busy at all. We will be looking for another restaurant in the nearby area next time we go to NJPAC.
