We dined on the covered patio. The food and cocktails were wonderful, and our server was just great!! We’ll be back.

Our sever Cody was absolutely incredible. The deviled eggs and meatloaf were absolutely to die for. Drinks were perfectly crafted and the overall ambience was 10/10. I’m still thinking about this meal and cannot recommend enough.

The food and ambiance was fantastic and the service was happy and helpful, however our server wasn’t at our table as often as we would have liked, and found ourselves waiting on them frequently.

My favorite go to restaurant for great service, food and casual chic atmosphere. Extremely consistent food and service. A manager usually checks that everything is perfect and it always is. We had Jake as our server and he always does a great job. He remembered what I like to drink! It’s a beautifully restored Quonset Hut with an arched wood ceiling a great bar and a lovely patio. I love that they take reservations as it’s quite popular. We had something different and both enjoyed meals. The ribs fall off the bone and my girlfriend said her meatloaf, masked potatoes with vegetables was spot on. We both wish it was a bit quieter, as can be difficult to hear, but not enough to deter us. I like all the Nick’s but Nick’s on State is my favorite.

Our party of four enjoyed an early dinner of halibut, Thai salad and Kale & Quinoa salad. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. Service was excellent from start to finish. We've dined at Nick's restaurants in Long Beach, Newport Beach and San Clemente, as well as in Del Mar, and have been impressed by the consistency and quality across locations.

Jessica at the bar is such a delight to have as your bartender/server. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny and attentive. Our dinner was delicious as always; Chicken Picatta and the Bistro Plate. Nick’s on State is consistently our ‘go-to’ restaurant.
