Our menu represents Chef Michael's Blackie’s best food memories, which span over his 35 plus international career Chef worked in Asia, Latin America and is an expat from the UK.
His food style can best be described as a balance between Canadian roots with a strong influence in both Asian, Latin and European cuisines.
We are currently open for Dinner weekly 7 days week from 5 to 9 pm. We are known for our blind tasting menu that features 8 dishes shared between minimum of 2 people. We are also open for Sunday Brunch from 10am to 1 pm and offer a sharing 5 course - 10 dish brunch tasting menu.
NeXT opened in 2009 and is consistently in the top drawer of established restaurants in the Ottawa / Gatineau region. NeXT has been awarded many accolades over these past 11 years.

We always enjoy our meal at Next, so when they announced the Sunday family night meal of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, we knew we had to go! It was sooo delicious. The plate didn't seem very big but we were more than stuffed finishing it. Then we ordered dessert 😆 . Dessert was delicious- the Dutch baby and dacquoise was sooo good. We will definitely be back !

Service was great, food was good but the bill was $300 (20% tip incl) for 1 adult and 2 teens. Casual dining at a very high cost.

Had the 5 course brunch and it was great. Smaller sized portions but they were surprisingly filling. I loved the good mix of sweet, savory, tangy and spicy (shout out to kimchi quesadilla).

As always food was spot on delicious, waiter was attentive and engaging. A great place to enjoy a relaxing meal of inspiring shared plates.

I really enjoyed my meal at Next. It was an imaginative use of an food pairings that made the chicken schnitzel outstanding. Service was excellent and unobtrusive. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quality meal

The ambiance is amazing. They have really lovely names for the food and drinks and they taste soooo good. The servers were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with selecting the meals. I had an amazing time and I'll definitely return for a tasting menu soon.
