   Loved the ambiance, the music was fab, the food was excellent and the staff superb. Would recommend without hesitation

   Nice decor, a lot of tables squeezed in. Bread was stale and they didn't have anymore to replace it. No music for ambience just listening to other diners talk when they did turn on some music it was more loud bar/club music not appropriate for dining. Service was very slow even though the restaurant only had 2 other tables. Food was only fair. Hope they can pick it up to a higher standard.

   We went to Nello Alpine while in Aspen at New Years. We waited 20 minutes for initial service and after letting them know we were still waiting (after other later seated tables received water and bread and menus, which we had not), we were asked if we wanted a drink and made a point to tell us they could make anything. My wife ordered a Moscow Mule and they came back and asked if ginger ale would be OK as they had not ginger beer. We started to leave and the maitre'd came over and offered to comp our drinks if we would please stay. We stayed and ordered a carpaccio to start. When it came it was dark, had brown spots and crispy edges. Not good carpaccio. At that point we left. It had been 45 minutes and the maitre'd wanted to know why we wouldn't give them a chance that it had only been 10 minutes or so. As we left we overheard yelling in the kitchen. Not a good experience.

   Everyone in our party would agree that it was the worst service we have ever experienced. We had 6:30 p.m. reservation and didn't get seated until after 7 p.m. The staff didn't know each other. They were confused and extremely unorganized. The bartender didn't know what alcohol he had. One person in our party ordered the special. The server did not mention it was $275. Absurd. Instead of apologizing, he was condescending and said we should have know based on the ingredients. I would not recommend this restaurant until they have been open for a few more months.

   We were at the restaurant for an early (6:30 PM) New Years Eve dinner. The food was delicious but the service was poor. Our initial wine order was forgotten. When we ordered a bottle of wine for dinner, we were told that it had not arrived yet, but was still on the menu. When our waiter came to refill my water glass he poured the water in my wine glass. Finally, it took almost 20 minutes to get our check, it was almost as if they had forgotten us. Hopefully these problems will improve as the restaurant is open longer.

   The prices are unreasonably high, the restaurant is very noisy, and the space does not work well for a fine dining restaurant. The food is reasonably good, but not a match with the high price.
