Neighborhood Services - Frisco
Not as good as the other locations in terms of service
First time taking our toddler to NHS, usually go to Lovers Ln location by ourselves but wanted a nice Father’s Day dinner. Loved that the service, food quality, and ambiance were consistently on par with our usual location. Being in the Omni gave us an outlet to walk around with a happy but busy 2yo, and everything else met our expectations from other Nick Bodavinus establishments.
Second visit. Steak cooked medium well to well done but ordered medium. I had to ask for extra voodoo sauce. Service was very mediocre and struggled to find the correct wine bottle ordered as well as opening it for us. Seated right next to hostess stand and front door. Very distracting to hear others complain to hostess about their reservations or lack thereof. Ambience seemed nice further into restaurant. For the distraction, the lack of good service, and the food not cooked to order, the price was high.
We visited on more than one occasion. Fish and chips are good, good bloody marys and drinks overall. French dip and Cobb salad were bland, but they serve pretty big portions. Service was super slow.
I sat at the bar for better service. The bartenders greeted me with a hello, then took my beverage order, 10 minutes later. I ordered the French Dip. The meat was very fatty. The bartenders keep dropping the “F” bomb, even through, this was a family restaurant. I felt that I was an interruption. I would expect a more up scale restaurant in an Omni Hotel.
Regi is a great waiter! So personal and engaged with us (fun stories etc). He balances it well by not being too overbearing so it’s perfect!
The salad i chose was prepared different than other locations. The chicken also had a bone in it. My normal location is Prestonwood so I was disappointed that the Star location was not up to par.
Hostess was clueless that there was a brunch menu. Waiter was awesome.
Great time! Great food!
Perfect for my daughter's graduation. Good and atmosphere was great.
Every server I’ve ever had here has been incredible. Great place if you are looking for good service to go with your meal.
Flies were terrible dining outside. I had the French Dip sandwich and it was pretty tasteless and the au jus was barely warm. The grilled avocado appetizer was excellent. My friend had the chicken and waffle special and said it was good.
Steve was amazing we will be back. Great food great atmosphere
Great food, greater service by Sarah, giving the best recommendation out of the menu!
We really enjoy this place and since graduation was next door, we had dinner beforehand. Staff and food were excellent as always!
I had the fish special-halibut. It was prepared perfectly and the wedge salad was delish.
Not up to past visits.
Shrimps and grits were average at best and grits were lousy
Went away hungry
First server that came to the table was not very happy and she had a very bad attitude.. second server was amazing and he saved the usual wonderful experience that we have here
This is a beautiful restaurant in a fun location. We've been hearing about Neighborhood Services and have wanted to try it. I brought my family (4 of us) for lunch and, if I had to put the experience into one word, I'd have to say "disappointing" . It was not busy (at all) but it took almost an hour for the food to get to us, some cold, some warm. A minute after our food was served, we saw the table of nine people, who arrived 40 minutes after we were seated, have their lunches served. The food wasn't that good and the service was painfully slow and unapologetic. It was over $150 for four people (I was NOT generous with the tip) and I've had better food and better service at Chik-Fil-A. I will not return.
I would not recommend going here. We were extremely disappointed, especially since we love the Addison location.
Our waiter was annoying and very opinionated. The food was not even mediocre. Soggy fries, huge hunks of meat on the nachos, tasteless meat on the French dip sandwich and the fish tacos were simply unimpressive as well as the fish on the fish and chips plate.
Definitely overpriced and we won’t be going back. Absolutely no reason to. There are many nicer places in the area to have an expensive lunch and the service is better.
A birthday brunch with family. The food was very good and the patio spot in the shade was perfect for the time of day and weather (full sun). The service was a bit slow and the waiter was not very attentive. We had to ask repeatedly for simple things like salt and pepper or our ordered drinks.
Very disappointed. The food was not good at all and felt the choices were very limited. Had steak frites.... beyond bland... nothing was hot.... didn’t like the atmosphere....didn’t like anything for $250 for 4.... my son had a burger and my daughter had a wedge salad which was very tiny... I had one cocktail.
This Neighboor Service location( Frisco) is an unexpected divergent when it comes to food and service compared to restaurants’ other locations in Dallas and Addison. We won’t be returning.
WHEN WE ARRIVED THE MUSIC WAS BLARING - THE MANAGER DID TURN IT DOWN & WE HEARD PEOPLE ON EITHER SIDE OF US - SAY "THANK GOODNESS"
THEY HAD RUN OUT OF THE SPECIAL OF THE DAY - SHORT RIBS W MASHED POTATOES
THE CHEDDAR GRITS WERE UNDER-SEASONED & ALL OF OUR FOOD - FISH, BURGER, FLANK STEAK AND SIDES ARRIVED LUKEWARM
TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THE QUALITY OF FOOD
THE DRINKS WERE FINE - BUT NOT STRONG - JUST OK
AMBIENCE WAS FINE
WE HAVE ENJOYED THE OTHER NHS LOCATIONS FOR YEARS - TRULY ONE OF OUR FAVORITES IN TOWN AS WELL AS MONTLAKE CUT - HOWEVER, THE FRISCO LOCATION HAS SOME IDIOSYNCRACIES THAT ARE NOT UP TO PAR TO OTHER NHS EXPERIENCES.
Food and service were great! Portions were huge and everyone at the table was pleased with their meal! We will definitely go back. Probably sit on the patio next time especially if the weather is as beautiful as it was today!
Great place to celebrate special occasions. Customer service is always exceptional.
Had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch! The food (and Bloody Mary bar) was outstanding!
The best part about this restaurant is that it is on the star mini field. The breakfast was overpriced and they seemed a bit understaffed.
Mother’s day was great last year when they had a nice buffet and more tables out on the patio. It lost that nice but relaxing feel for Mother’s Day that it had last year.
Nusha is fantastic. Here for Mother’s Day weekend and she was a very sweet part of making it special. The food was top notch. Exactly why we come back every year 🙂
Had a quick bite and bottle of wine at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive,
Our server for dinner was very lacking. She must have been having a bad day....
The cost and value is almost NOT worth it anymore.
Service and food were excellent!! Our daughter has a severe nut allergy and our waiter was super accommodating and told us they take all food allergies very seriously. He wrote all her allergies down and checked with the chef. We were very impressed and will definitely be back.
The short rip tacos were mushy. We sent them back (2 orders) and no acknowledgment.
The waiter was knew and didn't know the menu
Our waiter was amazing and he recommended the asparagus appetizer which was delicious. The gas lights at the bar were a fun add to the overall decor. We will definitely go back.
Never disappoints, great service, food, drinks.
Dano and Sarah are the best!
Enjoyed our anniversary dinner there and everyone and everything was great! We were given champagne for a toast which was thoughtful. The wedge salad was very tasty, our filets were melt in our mouths perfect, and the butterscotch dessert was delicious. My wife enjoyed a nice cabernet (wood...something) and a Side Car with dessert. I stuck with Sculpin which was just right. Afterward we spent a little time out on the patio by the fire pit finishing our drinks. Excellent evening!
David was a great waiter! Thank you!
