The seafood boil (only on Saturday eves) was outstanding. It is for two and generous, we took a couple crab legs home! Attentive staff with wonderful Aloha spirit.
This restaurant is closed. The hotel valets don’t even warn you when you arrive that it isn’t open, and let you walk down a long dark path to see that no one was there. The other restaurant on site wouldn’t seat us. The hotel needs to do a better job of updating their hours on booking websites. We weren’t the only people this happened to, and spent $80 in taxi rides to get there.
This was our very last meal (6:30 reservation) before leaving to go back to the mainland. Not only was the nightly fish special excellent, but we told our waiter that we were pressed for time and he was amazing! The food came super fast as well as our check. I really appreciated all his efforts. The atmosphere topped it all off. What an amazing way to depart. Big aloha!
Terrible service and mediocre food.
They were out of multiple items. Fish was bad and service was slow.
The food quality was very good and surprising that we sat poolside.
Terrible Tacos!! The meatball sandwich was actually decent. Two terrible tacos for $22 is a bit too much. The smoothies were good.
The view is amazing; come around 6:15-6:30 to catch a beautiful sunset. But the food is not so good at all; so if you are hungry this is not a good dining place; service is slow; drinks are small and not that good.
We gave it a second try after the past disaster. But it remains a disaster which is too bad because the location is quite nice. The staff needs training, the kitchen needs a chef, even the bus boys need training. Sorry about this lousy rating but it was awful and I am usually generous.
1. Add signs near the lobby and elevators so customers can quickly find the restaurant.
2. Small portions / small menu
3. Tables need to face the ocean, not kids in the pool
Beautiful setting near beach and overlooking the ocean - watched a lovely Hawaiian sunset. The calamari was flavorful and well prepared. The cobb salad was very good. Margarita was good, too. The hotel grounds are lovely and spacious. Would return to this low-key casual restaurant.
Beautiful location poolside with lovely views for sunset. Live music was wonderful. Loved the half portion on the steak!! Well prepared and flavorful
After a wait to be seated (we made a reservation), we are escorted to a table. Menus are brought and we are selecting our dinners. Hostess then asks us to move to another table. No reason given. We don’t mind and move. But new table is dirty and has not been cleaned. Restaurant far from full. Lots of empty tables. Water comes, new menus, more wait. Extremely disorganized. Sad experience. Food not up to par and outrageous for the price. One of the very few times that I penalize the waiter, even with less than stellar service I am a generous tipper. This was that bad. Restaurant has a big problem.
Our family of four had a lovely dinner Thursday night at Naupaka after just arriving from the mainland. Beautiful sunset and great food. Our server was very helpful and pleasant.
We then had lunch there the following day and that was a completely different experience. The server took forever to bring our waters and had to be reminded to do so, and the food took ages to arrive. It was not a complicated order. I don’t know if they were understaffed or she just had no work ethic, but the service was poor.
So a mixed experience.
Food had great flavor but very overpriced considering the portion sizes. Also thought the drink would be stronger given the price…
Beautiful location inside the Westin, outstanding service, lively and fun music. The food was fair, it’s more for hotel guests that need to just order food instead of open table dining. The ahi nachos, chicken salad and skirt steak were just mediocre. The mango mojito was ok too. The ambiance and service were outstanding.
We went here our last night on the island after spending the day at the nearby beach. We had a party of 6 including 50 & 20 year olds. The drinks are a bit steep but they’re the best. The atmosphere was relaxed, festive, & gorgeous. We rinsed off at the beach, freshened up, threw a sundress on, & fit in. We had a great time, especially under the care of Chad, who felt like a friend. We will come again.
Wonderful food, wonderful view, wonderful music, wonderful drinks.
We enjoyed our food and drink at Napauka and also really enjoyed watching the sunset and listening to Hawaiian music.
very excellent food. Seafood special on Saturday night is not to be missed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fish tacos were dry and overcooked
Naupaka is a wonderful open-air casual restaurant located in the Westin Hotel adjacent to beautiful Hapuna Beach. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Beginning at 5pm, there is live music until sunset. Naupaka is a perfect place to have a casual meal and enjoy the sunset at Hapuna Beach.
Waited over an hour for dinner and had to ask for the wine which was left sitting at the bar.
The sweet potato salad was amazing. Everything else (except the view) was pretty awful.
Generally everything was pretty good. Nice dinner - nice service - poor parking situation.
I was sad to see happy hour had gone. It was nice to have a solo musician adding to the atmosphere. Although mildly awkward that you are on the edge of a hotel pool without being a guest there, the food is still good and not outrageous like some other venues nearby. It was lovely to see the sunset from our table and enjoy an almost beach bar.
Everyday pleasure. Outdoors at the kids pool area. Do lots of laughter and a guitarist playing. Very very casual. Wonderful staff!
We enjoyed the food, service, and ambience, but access was not straightforward for someone using a walker.
Lovely setting for casual dining. We could hear the ocean and the live music away very enjoyable. Food seems very healthy tasty and portions were generous. Service was a disappointment. We felt rushed. We hadn’t finished appetizers when entree was served. No one refilled water or asked if we wanted another drink. Check was delivered before we were finished eating no one asked if we wanted desert. Unfortunately the Westin has a stunning hotel and 2 restaurants with great menus and does not have staff at their restaurants that are trained to serve at that level
Very good meal next to the pool.
Nice casual a bit Pricey
Very frustrating to try to find this restaurant if you’re not staying at the Westin already. Confusing / misleading signage. We had to call the restaurant to find them and even then the person on the phone had trouble directing us.
We were made very comfortable at a table for six even though our reservation was for four and we added a table for two for some additional friends. Music was great! Sunset stunning and food was good!
Waitress took 20 minutes to come and get our drinks. Then the food was awful. My husband‘s “medium “steak was beef jerky. Then she didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert, she just walked by and threw our bill on the table.
Would never dine in here again.
For casual dining was OK, but more of poolside lunch place. Menu limited in variety and healthy choices, service was harried. Food OK but not great. Alternative of fancier venue in hotel too limited and expensive as promoting set menu.
Really enjoyed our meal based on the ambiance at sunset and our friendly hostess who sat us. My husband and son also enjoyed the house cat, Marley. I just wished she menu had a bit more options for dinner. Everything we did eat was pretty tasty though!
Decent food. Terrible service.
Awesome location and beautiful views.
We enjoyed the music and the great view and sunset. We were not staying at the resort, so I will say as a visitor it is beautiful, but it was the most expensive dinner we had in our 10 day vacation. Drinks are way way way overpriced! That being said, we still liked it!
